Ooh - how did I not know about this (hair related)?

Middle aged woman here with naturally dark hair, now highlighted blonde for the last few years.

Failed to get highlights done before lockdown so started lockdown looking pretty grim - and then got grimmer with dark greasy looking roots streaked with grey.

Toyed with a DIY solution - whether to touch up the roots or temporarily go dark - but then thought better of it as colour correction is expensive and embarrassing BlushGrin

How did I not know about this? OK / it’s not perfect (didn’t date post in Style & Beauty) - but it’s better than nothing! Wink

LaureBerthaud · 25/04/2020 19:01

Oh your 3rd post hadn't loaded when I posted!

Daisy03 · 25/04/2020 19:01

Which one did you buy?

Aridane · 25/04/2020 19:04

Ah, @LaureBerthaud - I thought I was in for a slaughtering for posting nonsensical trivia

It’s one called Mane (got from their website) - all the L’Oréal etc ones on Amazon (and the ‘Mane’ ones) has sold out, at least in my colour

My hairdresser recommended this as he didn’t want me using anything permanent, it only lasts between washes though but it is good.

Aridane · 25/04/2020 19:10

Yes, you just spray it on the parting with one burst and you’re done!

Can’t wait to have my hair properly done - but this should at least stop me making expensive mistakes in the meantime

I've only used a l'oreal one. But it makes your nails hands, filthy if you touch your hair, which I can't help doing.

Also it's nasty and sticky and a dull matt. It makes my hair look like I've failed to wash it!

EloiseTheFirst · 25/04/2020 19:12

Which colour did you get, OP? It looks exactly right for me.

Aridane · 25/04/2020 19:13

Let me check - I think it was blonde (another picture)!

(sorry - repeat posting - slow Wi-fi)

Abouttoblow · 25/04/2020 19:15

I've used a few different brands and found that spraying it on your hair before you dry it stops any transfer into your hands and it doesn't look so dull. It's a life saver!

Aridane · 25/04/2020 19:18

Yes, it was the ‘blonde’ one
