Stoners

Is there anyone else on here that likes to smoke weed?

On all the threads I've seen that have mention cannabis it usually made out like the worse thing ever.

I'm a bit of a stoner tbh and just wondered if there is any others out there? I always see threads with people sharing what they drinking so thought I'd give it a go!

Not sure how this will go on here soo 🤞

Machetes 😮 if the paranoia overwhelms me I’ll move them near the mother of all muck heaps, which is a combination of everyone’s horses within a few miles radius. Nothing can compete with that!

heartsonacake · 27/04/2020 12:03

hopefully nobody will notice them amongst all the other fruit and veg plants.

You smoke weed, so you’re blind to the smell. Let me remind you that it is extremely strong and pervasive, you can smell it from quite a way away and even near manure you won’t be able to disguise its stink.

TheUser420 · 27/04/2020 12:14

The flipside is that in the suburbs (certainly where I live) the smell is so common it's hard to tell where it's coming from. If you take it those are the less concerned or ignorant and maybe add in the same again for people growing without any smell leaks, and it suddenly dawns on you that prohibition has not only failed - it's encouraged home growing.

A simple back of the fag packet arithmetic over the number of suppliers per hundred thousand per square mile does rather suggest that the long disappeared site "EverybodysDoingIt[dot-com]" might have had a point.

If you really must grow in the open, stinging nettles are probably the best natural defence - they look quite cannabis like (historically they were considered part of the family, until DNA showed they're not).

Ylfa Id stick it in one of those gardening polythene structure greenhouse thingys you get in the Lidls middle aisle.

I bought some cannabis tea from the health shop today (tiny THC content so they can sell it, its for the CBD) going to put some of the seeds from it in my garden's sunny patch

user1471565182 · 27/04/2020 20:13

It doesnt smell that much when you're growing it, its a plant like any other

You may be doing it wrong ... people don't buy carbon filters for the lolz.

Ylfa · 27/04/2020 22:02

It smells so good when it’s growing outside in the sun! My friends live next door to a forest of the stuff (where it’s legal to grow your own as long as it can’t be seen from the road eg by children).

Good idea about the greenhouse, also nettles - genius. For some reason I’m really unreactive to nettle stings, immune almost.

HirplesWithHaggis · 28/04/2020 14:44

It doesn't smell much while it's growing (for the first eight weeks or so.) It's the flowers that have the strong scent, and that's for another eight weeks.

My back garden would be perfect. No neighbours, steady breeze to disperse the smell, sunny and sheltered. But every now and then someone passes by...

TheUser420 · 28/04/2020 15:12

Personally I like the smell - it's generally sweet/light floral. It's also quite "light" in that it doesn't pool but rise so clears fairly quickly.

I'd take it over honeysuckle, which I find sickly to the point of nausea

HaddawayAndShite · 28/04/2020 18:22

If one was to look into growing your own, does anyone have any recommendations for where to get seeds and how to guides. I've read a few on r/uktrees and other forums, but they seem to be focused on set ups with lights etc.

Also on a positive note, we may be able to get hold of our dealer this week. Just as the weather has turned, I was looking forward to sitting in the summer house with a fat one and a cold cider.

YouCannotBeeSerious · 28/04/2020 18:51

It'll be legal here soon enough, if it can be legalised in the US (some States) and Canada it won't be long hear.

Most of my village toke. Everyone loves a good glass of Pimms at the village fête, but a few dubes is what gets everyone talking.

HirplesWithHaggis · 28/04/2020 19:10

I think advice about homegrowing in the UK will always focus on lights etc, because most people grow indoors.

Slurpy · 28/04/2020 20:09

@HaddawayAndShite - I'd check here for info on growing outdoors www.uk420.com/boards/index.php?/forum/103-outdoor-growing/

When I used to grow, I would get my seeds from one of the seedbanks in the Netherlands, Sensi Seeds are good, but there are others. I'd get some specifically for outdoor growing as they'll be hardier.

Considering getting a shed and setting ourselves up again. Much more satisfying that buying it.

HaddawayAndShite · 29/04/2020 08:35

Thanks. I’ll look into that. I’ve got a greenhouse / poly tunnel that we were going to start veg in but this seems a more fun option

rainyday678 · 29/04/2020 08:47

Only loosers take drugs.

Reported.

For seeds, Its not illegal to buy and sell for your own private seed collections, so they will be legit seeds. How you grow them though will be up to you but growing techniques will affect potency if you decide to try this. I expect there are videos on youtube about it.
Shame its illegal. I like the spanish system where you can grow up to 6 of your own plants outdoors for personal use. Keeps you away from dodgy bllack markets and keeps the strength down

Ylfa · 29/04/2020 10:51

Who genuinely feels obliged to to live within such confusing, contradictory and illogical laws as those governing cannabis in the uk though?

I've smoked on and off for over half my life, I'm 41 now. Love it ❤️

I have a senior professional job and work really hard. Most of my friends smoke too and are also successful professionals, it's funny how everyone assumes stoners are lazy bums!

HaddawayAndShite · 29/04/2020 12:05

Just ignore the negative Nancy’s @JudyGemstone they’re only looking for a rise.
I previously had a decent Nectar vape from Amazon, about £80. It lasted a while then the mouthpiece cracked and I’ve never looked into fixing it or getting a new one.

@JudyGemstone Professional or not, that doesn’t stop you having low enough standards and morals to take illegal drugs and set a poor example for your children.

seekingwaxwings · 29/04/2020 12:29

Let's continue to ignore the 'loosers' who can't spell losers, while being happy that illegal does not always equal immoral by any means.

Smoke it up bud buddies 💨

TheUser420 · 29/04/2020 12:39

while being happy that illegal does not always equal immoral by any means.

I'd rather be rule by my own conscience than the law.

Lonelycrab · 29/04/2020 13:13

And there’s plenty of ways you can set a “bad” example to your dc whilst staying perfectly within the law.

Hopefully the judgy-pants thread police will leave this one alone and maybe brush up on their spelling
