Stoners

Is there anyone else on here that likes to smoke weed?

On all the threads I've seen that have mention cannabis it usually made out like the worse thing ever.

I'm a bit of a stoner tbh and just wondered if there is any others out there? I always see threads with people sharing what they drinking so thought I'd give it a go!

Not sure how this will go on here soo 🤞

I have always wanted to try, and I look in to it occasionally but it just seems so complicated?! From how to do it to where to get it.

Google is your friend. Just remember the golden rules ...

Don't tell;
Don't sell;
Don't smell.

@thequeenbeyondthewall - So if I got a vape (not an e cig) but where you don't need tobacco, I could then use the weed I'd smoked in the vape for edibles?

Yes, you can you can cook it once you've vaped it - it's called abv (already been vaped). Not tried it yet, but apparently it works a treat. I'm all for value Smile

Ilovethebeach89 · 23/04/2020 17:38

So someone sent me a link to this thread HELLO! 😃
Right I am completely new to this (have taken speed/pills in the past years ago). For some reason, never ever tried weed. My adult ds wants us to make edibles lol. I'm wary as I don't know how it will effect me. He has done it before ok and is an occasional user. I'm scared to try it if I'm honest but also very curious and now seems the perfect time as we are both off work! As the only drugs I've taken before have made me full of energy I'm thinking being stoned will make me sleepy and I won't like it?! Not sure if this has any relevance but I hate taking strong painkillers as I dont like that woozy feeling like many do. Like codeine etc. Would eating it have a similar effect as that or is it entirely different?

user1471565182 · 23/04/2020 19:17

Burpalot I genuinely don't use the stuff (hate the feeling) but my friends who are living in close proximity with others will smoke shotties which tends to keep the smell to a minimum.

user1471565182 · 23/04/2020 19:21

I used to make breadies for people as well, which are really good for containing the smell and keeping waste to a minimum.

TheSparklyPussycat · 23/04/2020 19:31

Shotties? Breadies? Please enlighten this out of date hippy...

Lemonnhoney · 23/04/2020 19:33

@thequeenbeyondthewall yes :) as others have replied you can use your vaped stuff.

I empty my vaped (burnt?) weed into a little tin and then when we fancy it you just melt that into butter, or coconut oil and then let it infuse then cook with it. The vaping decarbs it which is what you would have to do in the oven with fresh bud.

Had some edibles past couple of days and they are a nice treat but I definetly prefer a vape for more regular consumption..

Like said, you don't know what you are getting with the edibles and tbh they just knock me out a bit.. It is a bit more of a full body intense high which can be nice though

It is quite a lot different Ilovethebeach. Different people also have totally different reactions to it, so if you're like me you get anxious and jumpy, racing self critical thoughts and general unpleasantness, some people say its like getting into a warm bath for them.

Eating it is much stronger, longer lasting, takes longer to come up and is extremely hard to gauge its strength. Not for beginners. People think its a soft fluffy drug but you can have some really awful psychological trauma/death trips if it gets too much. Even a single joint to yourself of the modern stuff will be too much for a beginner so my advice is use single skins and only fill up the top ends with the magic stuff at first. Or best of all, get a vape.

Lemonnhoney · 23/04/2020 19:35

@Ilovethebeach89 just saw your comment. Yes I think edibles are harder to control so probably not the best if you don't like the idea of getting really stoned to point of locked to the couch!

Saying that, you can use edibles and it not be like that.. But you don't know how much is in ect.

If your going to do it I'd er on the side of caution and have small bit at a time, wait Atleast an hour ect. Others might have diff experiences with edibles and can advise Grin

@WomenArePeople you pribably need to find someone who you know smokes it tbh for them to get you in touch with someone who sells it!

You can buy on dark Web ect but I wouldn't have a clue where to go with that 😂

Ok...….

  1. Shotties, very similar to a bong, but instead of using a gauze/tin foil, people stuff a bit of cig or baccy in the down tube then put the weed on top of that. They try and smoke it all in one hard breathe, the baccy will burn off with the weed and drop in to the water. If you are really really careful you can have an extra bottle to exhale into I suppose.
  1. Breadies, a lot like waterfalls. They cut off a 2 litre bottle about a quarter of the way down so you have the cap end with a bit left. They then stick a bag (bread bags being perfect) onto the bottom opening so it acts as a sort of lung. Burning their stuff in foil & pipe screen gauze over the bottle top and pull the bag down so it draws the smoke into the bottle. Remove the gauze and suck in from the bottle end a full lung full.

Probably loads of these on youtube

TheSparklyPussycat · 23/04/2020 19:54

In the 70s we occasionally smoked chillums, and did blowbacks.

Lemonnhoney · 23/04/2020 20:02

@thequeenbeyondthewall oh and I know its done because in mine you can taste how it changes, it tastes more harsh.
. Like someone else said too the vape will turn off after a certain time..

Lemonnhoney · 23/04/2020 20:04

It's all quite inventive the way people smoke it! Using what they have (a 2 l bottle and bread bag lol..)

I remember when I was about 13 a group of boys in my school year used to hide a bucket (1l bottle in a 2 l bottle with water in the bottom) down an alley and I was always confused about what they were doing at the time

Was a massive stoner in my twenties but stopped when pregnant and haven't gone back to it. My job is subject to random drug testing so I cannot risk it. It is part of my retirement plan though 😆

Stegasaurusmum · 23/04/2020 20:16

OK... I think I might have found the people to ask..

I've met someone, well I've known him years, he has a good job, professional, hardworking, kind, can be sensible... But he smokes nearly every day. I've expressed a bit of concern, just that I've not had a god experience in the past with boyfriends who smoke.. I'm not straightlaced by any means and partook up until I had kids, just got to the point where I didn't know anyone to get some from and kids etc...
He's said he definitely wouldn't smoke around me and if we lived together, only very occasionally..
I know that when we've been together in the past it's not bothered him not to and he even drinks less and smokes less cigs around me.
Likely to not be an issue, or is it something he's never going to stop?
He's nearly 40 BTW and I have children but am older, so maybe I'm just not used to it... Kind of feel like he should grow up a bit..

Stegasaurusmum · 23/04/2020 20:20

Sorry, just to say I fidmt mean that rudely! He can be a bit immature generally, just lives alone and due to lockdown is drinking, smoking and sleeping loads.
I think I'm just jealous to be honest 🤔😁

Iwantacookie · 23/04/2020 20:35

Can anyone recommend a good vape for under £50.
Really want to cut out the tobacco but I'm getting confused with all the different ones and what I need.

user1471565182 · 23/04/2020 20:39

It makes all the difference filling the bong/shotty/bready with ice as well. The harshness is mostly hot smoke.

Slurpy · 23/04/2020 21:23

@Iwantacookie - if I was you, I'd go for something simple for £50. The Dynavap M has great reviews for a bit more than £50, but I think they do a cheaper one called the vapcap. No electronics, so nothing to go wrong with it.

Slith · 24/04/2020 12:56

I made my friend a vapouriser for his birthday about 25 years ago before they were readily available. All you need is a plant pot, a jam jar, a soldering iron and some tubing :)

seekingwaxwings · 24/04/2020 17:50

Neither of the vaporisers I use are available on Amazon anymore. The hand held one I use is a black widow.

I usually hit bongs though as I find them really satisfying and quick, and they don't peng the house out like spliffs either. No tobacco just lots of ice and water, mmm. Actually it's bong o'clock now, I must get to it! Grin

Anyone else growing outdoors? I’ve just started some freebies (AK47 and white Moscow if that means anything) in pots, hopefully nobody will notice them amongst all the other fruit and veg plants.

It's your risk, but you'd probably be able to smell them from half a mile away. And as always in these situations the very last people I'd be afraid of is the police, and the very first would be the machete-toting morons who might get it into their heads you are worthy of attention.
