Why would anyone be surprised things are taking longer or be emailing for updates? Surely you just use a bit of common sense and be patient rather than adding to the problem by pestering unnecessarily?
The issues with delivery at Homebase have NOTHING to do with covid (although you would expect some delay under the circs)
They were like this well before corona lockdown. They are having serious problems. It is not a supply problem necessarily either.
I had ordered some flooring months before Lockdown. Said up to 10 days for delivery. 17 days later no delivery, no email, no phone call. But the delivery comes from the nearest store and I knew they had tons in stock at that store, because I purposefully visited in person to check that store had plenty, which they did. I then ordered online feeling confident they would deliver as I don't drive.
I phoned and phoned the main number and no one picked up. I sent a customer enquiry form and no one responded. That's when the penny dropped and I started to panic as I had spent hundreds.
Finally after searching loads, I found a different number from the main one (strangely it also catered for Argos this number) and got through and someone rang me back and I then had to wait a further 4 days for my delivery.
I am praying I ordered the right amount of flooring as I am unsure I'd be able to get anymore. I haven't laid it yet.
