Having watched some of their other videos, I’m concerned for her.

There's still very few posters commenting on the video where he says he's going to kill her. To me, that's the one that really freaks me out. It isn't said in a jokey way and her expression clearly shows she's not joking along either.

AntiSocialDistancer · 16/04/2020 08:27

My favourite body language interpreter covered it

His bitter face on the videos reminded me of someone yesterday and I've just realised who: Stephen Yaxley-Lennon.

Areyousurethatsright · 16/04/2020 08:51

I don't see her as a victim, I don't see any fear in her body language. There's a video of her playfully slapping him so they appear to just have a strange dynamic. I don't think either of them are particularly nice people.

Bananabixfloof · 16/04/2020 09:05

majority of posters are projecting imo also

And imo you are apologising for an abuser at worst, and condoning this behaviour towards women at best.

That all Spanish video where she says all is ok (I don't know much Spanish) why is he there at her shoulder, almost as if hes intimidating her into saying the right thing?

If we're all wrong about this then good I'd be happy to be wrong, but we're not wrong. If we were to be wrong however, he should be a better ambassador for how to be a decent man and never elbow his wife, never make faces on the videos while she is speaking, and all the other tiny things he does that make him look like a really really awful person.

carriebreadshaw · 16/04/2020 09:10

I don't understand Spanish but it's almost easier to read her when you can't understand what she's saying and can just focus on facial expressions and body language. And that he's nodding like she's saying what they had rehearsed.

I don't like it

SharonasCorona · 16/04/2020 09:12

@AntiSocial great link.

Also he says ‘I’m going to punch you’. As the interpreter says, who says that?!

MehitabelWhurl · 16/04/2020 09:12

I’m up to the bit where she talks about how Luisana is puckering her lips and I’m thinking it’s probably not unusual for someone to pucker their lips 2 seconds before they take a drink from a straw 😏

Don’t get me wrong - I think he’s an unpleasant and controlling man who may or may not be physically abusive. I’m just always a bit sceptical of these “body language experts” who waffle on about “micro expressions” and stuff. It always seems to me very reminiscent of playing records, or recordings of speech backwards and hearing all sorts of nonsense supposedly hidden.

Jellycatfox · 16/04/2020 09:15

OK, this is it. An old one. He has weird sense of personal space and she is uncomfortable

TwistinMyMelon · 16/04/2020 09:16

Yeah he's horrible in both videos

Jellycatfox · 16/04/2020 09:19

This one

Michael Buble and his wife. Shocking video.
SharonasCorona · 16/04/2020 09:26

@Jellycatfox he’s got her face locked in that one. She’s frozen

Michael Buble and his wife. Shocking video.
Umnoway · 16/04/2020 09:30

Not really sure why he even elbows her, it’s such a weird thing to do and her facial expression is very telling.

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 16/04/2020 09:52

I find these videos disturbing. I have tickets to see him in June. I do not want to go now, hopefully it gets cancelled.

SharonasCorona · 16/04/2020 09:53

And his Spanish and accent are really annoying! Butchering a lovely language.

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 16/04/2020 09:57

@shamalidacdak can you link?

bullyingadvice2017 · 16/04/2020 10:06

Very uncomfortable watching this. If it was a friend or family member with their man I would be very worried for them.

He is a pig, can see he is raging mad at her. Poor lady, poor kids. Hope she will see that other people can see how it is and escape from him. For the children's sake if not her own.

Tajiri · 16/04/2020 10:18

I think those of you who can't see it should try watching it with no sound on. Just watch his face. Then watch hers.

Boredbumhead · 16/04/2020 10:23

It's weird because I watched a few of their other videos and there is no hint of this. I wonder if lockdown is breaking him and allowing old demons to surface

Jellycatfox · 16/04/2020 10:31

I do wish people didn’t make comments like this though And his Spanish and accent are really annoying! Butchering a lovely language.

I have an accent in my second language, plus his is actually pretty good, not that this matters, it is not easy to speak a second language.

Anyway in the long video where she is late I think he has both instagrams on and he is left there speaking Spanish to her audience and he is struggling which I think is why he is upset and embarrassed, I do get that. And she seems to be so not bothered about her latenesses

I think there is more to it.
She has been on the news before for outburst of anger and jealousy too...

Not sure not sure and I don’t think we can tell from a few videos

DixieFlatline · 16/04/2020 10:38

I too have a bit of an accent in my main second language (though people assume it’s because I’m from some distant part of the country). I can confirm his attempts at Spanish are pitiful, and he’s been married to her far too long for him to be so shit. I would always put far more effort in to learning my spouse’s native language.

SpanishFly · 16/04/2020 10:45

Interesting point that in her "reassurance" clip, she shakes her head each time she's saying something positive.
And he's gearing at her and they seem to be entwined but not in a "supportive couple" kind of way

RuffleCrow · 16/04/2020 10:57

This is what they do: they hide in plain site because they think they're above the law. It's like there's some international school for abusive men where they all learn the same tricks. When i've explained my ex to some people in the past, they've sometimes wrongly assumed he's from some ethnic minority where womeb have few or no rights. Nope. He's just a caucasian male who also views women this way. Like MB. It's a global problem.

SharonasCorona · 16/04/2020 10:59

@Jellycatfox I love learning new languages so I totally get your point but something about the way he speaks Spanish is so contrived and superior. It’s like he’s taking the mick. (I’m not Spanish speaking by the way)

Mummyoflittledragon · 16/04/2020 11:03

Antisocial
I watched the whole video. Thanks. Very interesting. Particularly last nights video, where he didn’t do it once. Notably he was holding a pen and notebook. Something to occupy his hands.

What I did like is that the expert in the video didn’t come to any conclusion beyond Buble being controlling. She noted one possible cause. But didn’t say he was violent or conclude any cause.
