Light hearted

During lockdown I've barely gotten dressed in proper clothes... I get up shower and jump straight back in to some scruffs lounge wear... shorts / pj bottoms/ leggings etc I've even been walking the dog like this.. I've been out twice to do some shopping in the almost 3 weeks we have been under lock down ... those days ive put on some Jean's.. and a lick of mascara

I've popped a few doors up to have a socially distant cuppa with my mum over the front garden wall 3 times and she commented yesterday... (jokingly) I cant remeber the last time I seen you wear clothes... 🤣

Is anyone else being a complete lazy git regarding their attire 🤣🤣 I really look forward to my shopping day, And dressing like an adult.. .. it just seems a waste of time to dress in coordinating outfits at the moment...

5 adults in our house - 3 in their early 20s and dh and me. All shower and dress every day. 3 wfh, one uni student doing online lectures etc and I go to work.

CoronaIsShit · 12/04/2020 11:37

I shower when I get up (after going back to bed for a few hours after breakfastBlush), put on gym leggings/vest, eyeliner/lip balm as I’ll be doing a walk or an online workout during the course of the day. Shower with hair wash before bed again and clean nightwear. I find Lycra much more comfortable than cotton/ jersey/silky pjs!

All DC get dressed daily even if it’s not til 3pm when they finally surface. DH goes out to work and sleeps in boxers so if wouldn’t go down well with the teens if he lounged around in them all day on his days off!

AmyFl · 12/04/2020 11:40

I accidentally went to the supermarket in my pyjamas last week. Normally I would not do anything like this. But I was halfway there before I realised.Blush

Dyrne · 12/04/2020 11:43

I can never relate to these sorts of posts - I feel much better when I’m up, showered and dressed. I don’t wear makeup though and give zero shits about “doing” my hair; plus I wear jeans & t shirt type stuff so maybe that’s it?

velocitygirl7 · 12/04/2020 11:46

I have a fringe, wash it everyday and put make up on. The rest gets scraped back into a messy bun/ponytail and gets washed 'occasionally' Grin
I hate not wearing make up, just feel better generally with it on and feel happier being a slob in leggings and a t shirt if I'm looking good from the neck up!

garlicbread82 · 12/04/2020 11:46

I'm glad you said it and not me, OP! Grin I have been wearing the same jogging bottoms for two days now, oh the shame Confused And don't even mention my roots...Shock

WeBuiltCisCityOnSeeingSouls · 12/04/2020 11:47

I have a small house and lots of clothes Blush so my "Summer Clothes" are currently vacuum packed in the loft. I'm on the shielding list so can't leave the house for months and so trying to find the enthusiasm to get the summer clothes out. I usually really look forward to it every year.

I realise this is a very first world pity party problem under the circumstances.

WeBuiltCisCityOnSeeingSouls · 12/04/2020 11:47

Oh god that sounded so self pitying!

drinkingwineoutofamug · 12/04/2020 11:49

Yesterday when I went to work. Put my uniform on (at work) had some war paint on and looked after my patients.
After my shift I no longer felt human , waste of time doing makeup - but it makes me feel better - as it had all come off wearing shite ppe.
Today, jeans, T-shirt and flip flops. Haven't even brushed my hair.

GreyGardens88 · 12/04/2020 11:50

I'm turning into a bowling ball

LockdownLucy · 12/04/2020 11:50

First day of daily zoom calls three weeks ago. Before I realised that if you put a coat over your pyjamas you look as if you're dressed when you're not.

marblesgoing · 12/04/2020 11:51

The last time I did hair and make up fully and wore normal clothes was my last day of work. 20th March.
Some days I put some make up on but haven't bothered this week at all and hair goes up in a messy bobble 😂

carlywurly · 12/04/2020 11:53

I'm wearing a slouchy t shirt and a pair of linen shorts. Totally comfortable but I can go out without scaring anyone.

Don't understand the haven't washed hair in 3 weeks posts. That must just feel horrible. If anything, I'm showering more. First thing and after exercise usually.

About 5 years ago Grin I WFH normally, so I pretty much live in "day pyjamas" or shorts and a hoodie.

My last day of work which was the 21st March.

I think this is the longest I've ever gone without wearing makeup since I was about 14.

I'm going out for my boris walk wearing clothes I would never usually leave the house in

MilkTrayLimeBarrel · 12/04/2020 12:01

Nope - I get up at the usual time, get dressed, full make-up and stick to my normal routine as much as possible. I am doing more from scratch cooking so that takes up much of my afternoons, and then shower and change into sweatshirt/joggers for the evening. DH on the other hand has let his standards slip - mooches around until mid-morning before getting dressed/washed. I could not do it!

Circletime27 · 12/04/2020 12:28

This is part of the lockdown that I’ve really enjoyed. I usually wash and blow dry my hair every morning and always wear full makeup (I look really ill without it-which I am!). I’m very proud and hate the comments of ‘gosh you’re pale’ etc when I don’t wear makeup so it’s been lovely to just get up, wash my face and chuck some comfy clothes on.

Pinkblueberry · 12/04/2020 12:31

I dress pretty normal - I still go out and walk the dog everyday. But I haven’t worn a bra in quite some time...

Waxonwaxoff0 · 12/04/2020 12:32

My last day of work, 23rd March. Not worn makeup or styled my hair since then, and my hair is a complete bush when I don't straighten it.

I'm still getting dressed but it's getting later and later in the day!

Connie222 · 12/04/2020 12:34

December last year Shock

I got really ill, got pneumonia then fell pregnant and HG started. I’ve not felt or looked human since and doubt I will until after the baby is born if previous pregnancies are anything to go by. lockdown has been my life for 5 months.

Sameold2020 · 12/04/2020 12:35

I put bright blue eyeshadow on to do the gardening this week. I was just so fed up of my face.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 12/04/2020 12:35

Totally loving the lounging clothes I bought but never had the time to wear before Grin

thenewaveragebear1983 · 12/04/2020 12:59

It's better now I'm in summer clothes as it just felt weird wearing jeans inside so I was living in leggings and joggers. Now the sun is out I am wearing my summer jersey dresses or shorts. I haven't worn makeup for 3.5 weeks! At about 4pm every day I change into my yoga trousers and vest and do my yoga, then keep that on until I change again into (slightly different) bottoms and vest to sleep.
