Light hearted

During lockdown I've barely gotten dressed in proper clothes... I get up shower and jump straight back in to some scruffs lounge wear... shorts / pj bottoms/ leggings etc I've even been walking the dog like this.. I've been out twice to do some shopping in the almost 3 weeks we have been under lock down ... those days ive put on some Jean's.. and a lick of mascara

I've popped a few doors up to have a socially distant cuppa with my mum over the front garden wall 3 times and she commented yesterday... (jokingly) I cant remeber the last time I seen you wear clothes... 🤣

Is anyone else being a complete lazy git regarding their attire 🤣🤣 I really look forward to my shopping day, And dressing like an adult.. .. it just seems a waste of time to dress in coordinating outfits at the moment...

Also wearing running kit, which is another slightly different vest/shorts combo!

Fifthtimelucky · 12/04/2020 13:00

I look as human as I always do. I get up at the same time and, shower and wash hair as normal and am wearing normal clothes.

I'm due a haircut as I haven't been since December but that's about normal for me, and I never wear much make up anyway.

Sparklyring · 12/04/2020 13:08

Hair washed & dried, mascara & blusher and 'proper' clothes every day. Think it helps to keep a bit of normality.

Rockbird · 12/04/2020 13:13

I have a pyjama day about every four days at the moment. Apart from that I'm showered and dressed every day. No make up though. I wear it for work but hate it so refuse to wear it at home. Last time I was properly made up was 18th March, my last real day at work.

GaraMedouar · 12/04/2020 13:19

Haha! I do shower, but wear tracksuit trousers and a baggy T-shirt each day. I wear no make up and I’m not straightening my hair now - so I’ve got a triangular helmet on my head now - but I think it’s better for my hair. When I go on my walk I don’t see anyone really so don’t care. My hair is grey anyway , so no roots - I must look quite a sight Grin

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 12/04/2020 13:28

I’m starting to resemble a weeble wobble but I make an effort for work with my hair and make up. Showering twice a day once in he morning and as soon as I get home

At the weekend I might not even shower for one day Blush and will become a total slob

Arrowfanatic · 12/04/2020 13:33

I'm wearing my comfy clothes more than I would usually, havent worn make up since I finished work on 17th March. Thankfully no video conference calls!

I havent worn summer clothes yet, almost feel like if I do the warm weather will leave Grin

I realised in week 1 that if I didn't get up, get showered and properly (if comfortably) dressed I would soon become quite down in the dumps. I've added an exercise session to my morning routine now and my daily walk/cycle. Endorphins will see me through.

Supersimkin2 · 12/04/2020 13:43

I've got one new dress - smock dress, puff sleeves - that I wear when going out only. Lovely and forgiving on the new belly and feels cheery.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 12/04/2020 13:46

Supersimkin2 that dress sounds lovely. Something I could grow into Smile

Purplecatshopaholic · 12/04/2020 13:53

I am still human. Just different human! Still do my hair and wear makeup as it makes me happy. Clothes are very different at the moment though. And I haven’t worn underwear in weeks...

Beechview · 12/04/2020 13:56

Exercise, shower and get dressed every day.
Yesterday, I cut and dyed my own hair, used a moisturising face mask and ped egged my feet. Smile
I feel quite presentable and passed some time.

motorcyclenumptiness · 12/04/2020 14:00
  1. These days, lockdown or no lockdown, I look like a shaved St Bernard.
ActuallyItsEugene · 12/04/2020 14:05

I'd not bothered with makeup, fake tan, hair, nails, brows and proper clothes for about 2 and a half weeks before realising that not looking 'done' was adversely effecting my mental health.

I straightened my hair this morning, have kept up with my tanning routine, wear light makeup each day, manicure/pedicure & pluck/shave/wax when needed and put on clothes that make me happy every day now. I feel so much better for it!

CigarsofthePharoahs · 12/04/2020 14:18

Well I still am getting dressed. Hair removal routine has gone though.

drunkyhumptydumpty · 12/04/2020 14:28

I am no longer people.
I plan to start my diet tomorrow.

I should probably include showering into that.

ItWasntMyFault · 12/04/2020 14:30

I have a shower, wash my hair and get dressed every morning.

Not bothering blow drying my hair or bothering to put make up on though.
I'm WFH during the week so it helps to be washed and dressed, even if no one can see me.

BadlyAgedMemes · 12/04/2020 15:01

I think I'm looking okay. I've been bored enough to have lots of daytime baths lately. Just had a face mask and a hair mask today. My skin care routine's never been better. Obviously cba with make up, but who cares. Hair could do with a trim, but I've discovered wearing it on a loose bun, which doesn't look half bad. Also, after losing weight, all my tops are "oversized" and I'm pleased with this whole lockdown look.

isseywith4vampirecats · 12/04/2020 15:03

today at 10am after my shower decided that slumming round in PJs has gone on for long enough so got properly dressed not going anywhere

beachbreeze · 12/04/2020 15:06

I was slobbing around, but after my boyfriend finished work (furloughed) he quarantined and then came to stay with us for the duration of this lockdown. Since then I made more effort!

Weirdly, I still wore a little makeup even when wearing horrible clothes. I had been asked for impromptu work Skypes and couldn't deal with feeling so gross!

SecretWitch · 12/04/2020 15:12

I brush hair and teeth daily. Put on fresh yoga pants and tshirt. Shower every other day. I bought home hair colour and manicure supplies to do this coming week. I slap on perfume and lip balm to cheer myself up.

hopeishere · 12/04/2020 15:29

I have a shower and wash my hair every day. Sometimes I bother styling it and put on some eyeliner and mascara. Last full day of make up was 11 March!!

SallyWD · 12/04/2020 15:29

I get up, get dressed, do my hair every day. It's because we go for a walk every day and always bump in to people we know. I want to look acceptable! I'm surprised how many people aren't going out for walks. I personally would go mad if I didn't get out every day. I need a good blast of exercise each day or I don't sleep well. My brother and family haven't left the house in weeks. I feel bad just thinking of it!

Toilenstripes · 12/04/2020 15:31

I look human alright. Unfortunately I resemble more the male of the species. My facial hair is off the charts. Ugh.
