Light hearted

During lockdown I've barely gotten dressed in proper clothes... I get up shower and jump straight back in to some scruffs lounge wear... shorts / pj bottoms/ leggings etc I've even been walking the dog like this.. I've been out twice to do some shopping in the almost 3 weeks we have been under lock down ... those days ive put on some Jean's.. and a lick of mascara

I've popped a few doors up to have a socially distant cuppa with my mum over the front garden wall 3 times and she commented yesterday... (jokingly) I cant remeber the last time I seen you wear clothes... 🤣

Is anyone else being a complete lazy git regarding their attire 🤣🤣 I really look forward to my shopping day, And dressing like an adult.. .. it just seems a waste of time to dress in coordinating outfits at the moment...

I wonder if it makes a difference for people who aren't allowed out at all? I just admit since getting my shielding letter, I've thought "well what's the point if no one is seeing me" but as DH pointed out, I will see myself every day and that's the only person whose opinion I should give a shit about. He does sum stuff up well!

I've just shaved my legs and it does feel nice I will admit. If I summon the energy I will get DH to change the bed for maximum nice feeling Grin

Im not and I suspect that is making me feel even more shit.
My blonde highlights have grown out and my false nails have grown off. I’m very fair and not wearing eyeliner and mascara makes me look ill.
I’m also getting really fat Sad

MrsJBaptiste · 12/04/2020 18:41

I'm not allowed out and so haven't left the house for 3 weeks now. I generally wear comfy stuff Mon-Fri to work from home but Fri & Sat night I wash my hair, get my nice clothes on, make up and jewellery and sit around feeling fabulous! 😁

Nobody except DH and the kids see me but it makes me feel so much better. 6pm tonight and I got changed and now have a cocktail in my hand 🍸

Wineislifex · 12/04/2020 18:42

Literally I only look human when I’m going to work as those poor patients in A&E have been through enough 🤣

Donttellbut · 15/04/2020 07:35

@carlywurly nobody said they hadn't washed their hair In 3 weeks

@BrazenHusky74 of my god I laughed at that......why 1999 may I ask?

@Pinkblueberry a bra..... what's that these days 😂😂

@Connie222 I'm really sorry to hear you've been so I'll I hope you get better soon

I think the general consensus is as long as we shower daily who give a poop what what we are actually looking like indoors.. I have a throbbing toothache the the last two two days so I am off the the dentist today and I will look something that resembles normal I certainly wont be in my favourite leggings that have a hole in the butt seam 🤣🤣

I put on proper clothes with a waistband Shock for Easter lunch.

That was enough to tell me I needed to cut down on the food.

I shower though because it makes me feel better and put on makeup for my colleagues' benefit (zoom calls). From the neck down though I'm in lycra all day.

23rd March

DitheringBlidiot · 15/04/2020 08:00

The best thing I did was buy a 3 pack of sloggi comfy bras 3 weeks ago when there was talk of a lockdown. That combined with leggings and long tops has been my work uniform. Haven't worn make up since I finished work and don't think I'll be rushing back to it, except for a bit of mascara. Some days I don't wash til midday, others I'm up and dressed by 7. Still human, just under different circumstances

DitheringBlidiot · 15/04/2020 08:03

Also, if the "worst" that happens to you is getting a bit fatter then you should thank your lucky stars

I last wore makeup on March 12th. Very tempted not to go back Grin

As for dress, my standards haven't changed much because they were on the floor to begin with!!

mogloveseggs · 15/04/2020 10:17

22nd March.
The day I went into work and they said I can wear whatever I want as we're not delivering food.
I now wear whatever is clean warm and comfy as it's very cold first thing and probably look dreadful but don't care.
Vest, long sleeve top, thick hoodie, leggings, woolly socks, docs/trainers

Chipsahoy · 15/04/2020 10:59

I don't see why it's a waste? I only ever dress for myself.
I wear nice clothes every day because I enjoy them. If you don't that's fine too. Wear what you are comfortable in.
