Have you aged ten years overnight on a supermarket website?
Are you sticking to the 'two sheets' rule?
Have you had it with singing celebrities?
Are you yearning for what we will now call The Before Times?

If you've answered yes to any of the above, here's where you come to post threads about Naice Things - like ham and cats. Where The Virus That Must Not Be Named (TVTMNBM) is off-limits.

We'll do our best to keep the corona-free zone moderated - you do your best to chill out and gather strength. Flowers Brew

Keep using the normal boards for normal stuff, but here's where to come if you need a break. We're hoping everyone will see the value of having somewhere to get away from it all.

Thanks,
MNHQ

I'm afraid I do madambee

I have no shame Grin

SchadenfreudePersonified · 31/03/2020 09:26

Your dreadlocks delicious madambee.

I am not very good with bread - unless you need some hard enough to cobble a street.

ErrolTheDragon · 31/03/2020 09:40

'Bread looks'?Grin
I suppose if someone is bored they could do a really complicated bread plait.

DanglyTasselsOfThigh · 31/03/2020 10:16

Can anyone send me some delicious dreadlocks please? Grin

I've lost weight since I stopped working last week. I think it's all the gardening.

My back is killing though, I think I need a spine and arse bone replacement.

Dreadlocks Grin

Errol

Oh dear!

I must learn to proofread - especially knowing that auto carrot hates me with a passion!

Spent the afternoon preparing our dinner for later. Off to clear the kitchen.

How are you all?

MinnieMountain · 31/03/2020 17:07

Revelation of the day- DS has announced that real oranges are healthier than chocolate ones. And probably tastier these days Hmm

Bananabixfloof · 31/03/2020 20:14

Here's pics of flowers, from the other day. Looking good so far. Also my rhubarb is doing really well but it's too dark to take pic now. For tomorrow methinks

Still fine, I am planning on baking a marble cake to be eaten with homemade seedless blackberry jam. DH makes sauces and jams to relax.

theoriginalmadambee · 31/03/2020 20:48

Lovely pics banana Smile.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 31/03/2020 20:57

Great joy in the Schaden household.

The pots of wild garlic - devoured by Dogs and apparently "deaded", as Neddie Seagoon would have said - have, after two years started to put forth leaves and highly identifying buds again!

I couldn't believe it! Until the flowers started to appear I was wondering what had decided to pop up in the pots that I'd stuck in the back of the shed and forgotten about.

He sounds like a keeper!Smile
We try to stay off sugar so no jam but DH makes a good compote.

He is Smile - but he also keeps an inventory of the stuff taped to the inside of the cupboard door.

Schaden I can't. He does the cooking, and the food shop and meal plans and has been doing this for 30 years.
(I assemble furniture, do the IT-stuff and the cleaning.)

SchadenfreudePersonified · 31/03/2020 22:01

Dammit Prokup

He has you trapped!

ErrolTheDragon · 31/03/2020 22:07

Mine has an inventory too, but it's on the PC.

The last time we had any furniture to assemble DD, who was then about 14, did it.

theoriginalmadambee · 31/03/2020 22:09

Who even has an inventory list? (green with envy, would love to have one for the freezer).

If you have known him this long, you must be able to fake his handwriting Wink.

Roussette · 31/03/2020 22:41

My DD loves putting together IKEA stuff. When she moved into her flat, she did a massive three door wardrobe, with pull out shelves etc...
She calls it 'grown up lego'

I've just stumbled upon this little oasis and passed some time delighting in your pics and tales. Thank you, I will lurk a bit in your good company.

ErrolTheDragon · 31/03/2020 23:01

You're very welcome - and do visit any of the other threads on this board which take your fancy too.

MinnieMountain · 01/04/2020 06:39

Was the wild garlic easy to grow @SchadenfreudePersonified?

It's really evocative of walks in the woods when I was growing up in Pembrokeshire.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 01/04/2020 10:55

Piece of cake Minnie.

I must admit I purloined a single plant on a walk through our local woods (which is FULL of the stuff - the scent is incredible) about twelve years ago. I just stuck it in a pot and kept it very well-watered and it went berserk - filled the (very large) pot in a couple of years - it's very prolific.

Then DD's great dane decided he liked it - went out for a wee one day and scoffed the lot!

That was the year before last. Nothing came up last year, but I didn't get round to putting anything in the pot, and I'm glad because this year it has peeped out again - and it's looking short but sturdy.

(And has been moved to a safe place to recover.)
