Just out of curiosity?

Seriously??

SissySpacekAteMyHamster · 20/03/2020 12:10

Nope. Was cancelling all diary entries last night, freed me up until about June (if Ascot happens).

FluffyAragog · 20/03/2020 12:11

Dick heads. That's who's going

lubeybooby · 20/03/2020 12:13

The selfish scum of the earth, the witless and the ignorant

Willow2017 · 20/03/2020 12:20

Yawn, yet another wind em up thread!

BarefootHippieChick · 20/03/2020 12:21

Plenty of people in the one near my parents, they've still been going in all week. Out of curiosity are nightclubs still open too?

longhaulstress · 20/03/2020 12:25

Our works bar is still open (sport and leisure club) I have to smile and welcome people but really I just want to scream at them to stay home especially as our main customer base for the bar seems to be over 70s.

@longhaulstress if all the staff stayed home would you get paid as it would force the bar to close ?

NewUserNameReq · 20/03/2020 12:26

Wow Willow did I say I was going?

Personally I'm in isolation, I was just curious as the pubs seem to still have custom (some local to me even have special offers on). I was wondering who these people are who think it's still okay to go out socialising like this, and if they could offer some insight into their reasoning....

@mouldyoldonkey you're kidding right Shock

niffynoonoo · 20/03/2020 12:28

no freaking way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bigchris · 20/03/2020 12:29

Where I live people are still going , I'm not judging them because Wetherspoons for example is full of vulnerable people, addicts etc
It's not for me to judge people who are often mentally ill
They might not read the news , or if they do understand it
One comes in , in soiled clothing for example Sad

Tableclothing · 20/03/2020 12:30

Sociopaths/the unintelligent/the ill informed.

SavageBeauty73 · 20/03/2020 12:31

Nope. Having a virtual drink with my friends tonight.

Falangalangadingdang · 20/03/2020 12:32

Stupid people that's who.

But given what that dick that owns Witherspoons has said, his patrons will be flocking in to spread the disease round a bit more.

iklboo · 20/03/2020 12:33

Nope - a lot of the pubs & bars round here are doing delivery though. Pay online and they leave it on your doorstep. We may avail ourselves of that. Smile

mynameiscalypso · 20/03/2020 12:34

My DH has just put a fancy bottle of champagne that we were given for our wedding in the fridge and we're going to have Friday night drinks at home. I may even knock up a canapé to pretend that we're fancy.

BarefootHippieChick · 20/03/2020 12:36

mouldydonkey hope she makes it to 91 😕

MephistophelesApprentice · 20/03/2020 12:37

I'm in Ireland and all pubs are closed thankfully. Most coffee shops in my area closed also, one is opened but is doing takeaway only. Plans for the weekend include cooking a nice dinner one night, takeaway another and a few glasses of wine at home. Not exciting but I'm happy with the way things are being handled here so not complaining at all.

dontaskformedicaladviceonmn · 20/03/2020 12:41

I hope this puts off anyone thinking of going.

We always go every Friday but no, not tonight!

flatoutpanic · 20/03/2020 12:46

People are still in the pubs here every night (not me).

One of my ‘friends’ on Facebook shared that message saying something along the lines of ‘the kids being off school is not an excuse to take them to the park, cinema etc’ ... I then drove past the pub at 5 and saw her there having a drink with a group. Double standards?
