Cherrytree I would SI

I admit to going out for a pint last night but not to the pub. Large brewery on an industrial estate warehouse. We sat on our own bench a good 3 metres from anyone else.

My bf went to the pub last night on his own. I work in a freakin supermarket, so I'm exposed for 9 hours a day to potential bugs. Lucky gits who get to live in isolation eh! There is life going on outside your walls

Giganticshark · 21/03/2020 07:21

A quiet pub is better than the huge crowds of people in shops. You may think its not a necessity but so many people shopping are buying a fuckin newspaper or a couple of measly unimportant items. People just want to be part of the hysteria

The people going to my local for a party weren't quiet lonely people for whom it's a lifeline. They were people of all ages who fancied a good night out before the pub closed. I love going to the pub and will miss the social aspect. We go every weekend and sometimes in the week. We haven't been since last week because we were asked not to and took the government's advice. He shouldn't have allowed them to open until closing time. Asap announced at 5 means they could have been closed by 6.

Few pubs in our town still posting videos on their official Instagram page at 4am this morning of a lock in. Wonder if the council will see it

vegansprinkle · 21/03/2020 07:41

@cherrytree63 are you ok? That is unacceptable.

Taddda · 21/03/2020 08:00

@cherrytree63 lock him out. Let him isolate in the van. Twat. Hope your okay Flowers

janelmac · 21/03/2020 08:07

cherrytree I hope you are ok.

Incidentally, many of the supermarkets put restrictions on wine last night as it started selling out after the announcement 😂

dorapicasso · 21/03/2020 08:51

Already this morning I've had two invitations. One to a party tonight - the pub has closed so someone has invited all the regulars to his house and is ordering beer from the pub. Another from a neighbour who has invited us and other neighbours and friends to a barbecue in his garden this afternoon, followed by some fireworks (left over from Bonfire night) once it gets dark.

Both are nice people but I despair that the message isn't getting through. I don't want us to be ordered to stay indoors as I'm enjoying my daily walks (on quiet roads) but I'm starting to think it's the only way.

@mouldyoldfonkey I bet you are a man who was out last night possibly getting infected and not giving a toss. Am I warm?

NewUserNameReq · 21/03/2020 19:45

Flyme Good on you for that exchange!

Cherry please let us know you're okay, your DP sounds like an absolute cunt to be frank.
