Please share anything mundane, funny, sweet you name it Smile

I'm in denmark, started my day by letting out the cats, only they didn't feel like it, so they sat in the doorway a loong time and now it is freezing.

I'm planning on washing my curtains as they have been taken down due to renovating the living room.

Oh and I'm going to shave my whiskers today, suddenly appeared at the sides of my mouth Hmm.

Yes you are right I'm bored. Please tell me about your interesting lives.

I am at work. I work at a uni and it's very quiet. I bought myself a box of Thorntons for lunch from the campus shop as they did not have any normal food left like bread or pasta.

midgebabe · 17/03/2020 16:40

Walked round the block. Somewhat longer trip than normal due to crossing the road to avoid people.

Taytocrisps · 17/03/2020 18:47

Enjoying a very muted St. Patrick's Day here Shamrock. No masses, no parades, no pubs. I phoned some family members to wish them a happy St. Patrick's Day and see if they had any news.

Did some housework - cleaned out all the litter trays and hoovered and mopped the sitting room.

Watched some funny 'parades' on FB - families creating their own St. Patrick's Day parades in their gardens or sitting rooms, mostly involving the kids and the family dog. Considered getting DD to pose with DCats and some St. Patrick's Day tat but the cats wouldn't co-operate.

We christened the new crepe maker (we bought it for pancake Tuesday but never used it on the day) and DD made crepes.

Watching Moana later.

@thatmustbenigelwiththebrie had to look up Thorntons, a healthy and delicious lunch Grin.

@midgebabe I'm picturing you criss crossing about town like a headless chicken Grin.

@Taytocrisps Happy St. Patrick's Day 🍀.

I've done a few loads of laundry, did some cleaning, made everyone toasties for lunch, brushed the cat, changed my sheets, put a spicy beef casserole in the oven for dinner.

Then my foot started swelling up because of my weird stupid allergy that makes bits of me swell up. It is usually a hand or foot or a bit of my arm or something, though my tongue swelled a few weeks ago resulting in a quite scary trip to a&e. I have an allergy clinic appointment in July to hopefully start to work out wtf is causing it, I hope.

Now I am sat on my bed with my foot propped up on a rolled up duvet, hoping that the antihistamines kick in before it starts really hurting, trying to work out what I want to watch while I do a bit more crocheting on the Indian summer blanket that I started yesterday. DD is taking over sorting dinner, and making mashed potato and veg to go with it.

Winding down after an energetic day looking after DGS. He can't go to nursery due to having chickenpox, so he arrived at 0800, pulled all his clothes off to have Poxclin applied, then ran about mostly naked for the day. His appetite hasn't suffered in the slightest.

theoriginalmadambee · 17/03/2020 19:58

@CrowleysBentley that just sounds so annoying, can you make a food and drink diary to pinpoint it? Sorry if you are already doing this, but I would go mad trying to think what I had done.

@DisgraceToTheYChromosome aww your dgs sounds lovely and energetic Grin.

Made icecream.

Insulated my greenhouse with bubble wrap.

Hung around outside Brownies for 10 minutes in case a parent didn't get the email that Brownies is cancelled until after Easter because of coronavirus Sad.
Made dinner, ate the ice cream.

theoriginalmadambee · 17/03/2020 20:30

@TroysMammy can you tell me about bubble wrapped greenhouses? Does it work, does it get significantly warmer any faster?

Never heard of this, perhaps an idea for tomorrow for my tiny greenhouse Smile.

@TroysMammy I debated heading down to wait outside where we meet for a short while, but decided against it. Only one parent didn't acknowledge my text last night & I haven't heard from them today so presumably they did read it & were just rude.

It feels weird being in my dressing gown considering bed shortly on a Tuesday evening; we don't usually get in until 9:30.

TroysMammy · 17/03/2020 21:12

theoriginalmadambee first time I'm trying it to be honest. I've clipped it in sections to the straight sides and across the door. You put it bubble side against the window.

lucysmam stupid me didn't take my phone and my car doesn't have a clock. I had to count up to 600 for 10 minutes, 5 mins before 6 and 5 mins after in case of stragglers. I must count very slowly as I'm only 5 mins drive away and I got home at 6.20pm Smile. It's been a strange afternoon for me as I usually pick my niece up from school before I feed her and we go to Brownies but she was home with a cold today.

Frownette · 17/03/2020 23:09

@vampirethriller that sounds idyllic. I love rhubarb as well.

Tried imodium for the first time due to unhappy stomach, suddenly felt sleepy then was out for the count for a few hours. I looked it up afterwards and apparently its ingredient loperamide can do this.

Still feel like I've been clubbed around the head.
