Please help. I think XH has put a spy app on my phone

There was a software update today.
I went to delete some browser history on my phone and this pop up happened. I Googled Spysie and it's a spying app.

Does anyone know I can check it's on my phone if it's 'invisible'?
Is it something the police would take seriously?
How can I find out if it's him?
Is it even a scam to get people to panic then give the website their details including device's IME?

I'm not in physical danger but I definitely don't want him spying on my phone.

Please help. I think XH has put a spy app on my phone

Right. Nothing untoward in the device admin apps. Does that mean it's not on the phone?

I did see 2 system update service apps earlier though. I Googled one called DeX and it's a Samsung one. I'll find the other one again and delete it as it didn't seem to have a name. I'll screenshot it first

This is the second thread I've seen today about phones having spyware put in them. It's terrifying.

My ex-h lives like this. It pisses me off that all our communication about our DS is monitored by OW. He doesn't seem to see how abnormal this is. It's illegal too! Report it OP. I hope you get things sorted . What a prick he is Thanks

Have you checked under Apps too for “system update service”? If it’s not there either, then according to their own website, you luckily don’t have it!

But I’d still take some extra precautions as it’s a very niche website to end up in your search history. Never know what someone might be planning...

Under Biometrics and Security, turn Install
Unknown Apps off

Change your phone password, preferably to something more complicated

Set your phone to automatically apply a screen lock after one minute (or even 30 seconds)

Also what other devices are shared with your chrome/google account? If your device didn’t search for spyzie, the searches came from another device

Please report it to the police.

My cousin went through similar when she split up with her ex.

He would turn up places she was all the time etc, she once got on a train and he was at the station watching her, then when she got off he was at the other end too, ( 50 car journey, no idea how he did it so fast)

He had installed something on her phone but he had also bugged the house,

There were cameras in plug sockets and a listening device in the light fitting.

Right. I found those apps using the scanner app someone kindly posted above - it's far more thorough than Norton. It says they're safe. No spy able something or other with them and you need root permissions to uninstall so I think they're Samsung apps.
The spyzie thing didn't come up on my laptop in the same way when I did the browser deletion on it. It didn't come up when I searched the laptop browser history either. XH has recently left the country - hopefully forever - so he won't be tampering with my phone physically. I'm very tempted to change my number though.

No systems update apps anywhere else either.

Thanks so much to everyone for suggestions and technical help. I've sent the original screenshot to spyzie asking why it's on my phone. I hope they can explain it.

That’s good, to install this specific one he would need physical access to your unlocked phone.

The search history is very strange. None of his devices are linked to your accounts right?

I’m not sure if android phones can be remotely hacked with software like this, so definitely keep the scanner app and norton installed!

Certainly will and thanks again for your help.

I went down the factory reset route in the end and it seems to have worked. Massive arse ache though.
