Argggh I've been looking all day. I came in yesterday afternoon with them, haven't seen them since.
Under the sofa - no
Washing machine - no
In bed - no
On her bookshelf - no.... etc etc.

Of course I could have misplaced them myself but I rarely lose anything so unlikely.

Ahhhhh

The possibilities are endless. Look in the bins, in shoes, in toys, etc.

LucieLucie · 03/02/2020 16:55

Laundry basket?
Bin?
Through the letterbox?
Inside wellies/boots?
In your bag?
Do they have a toy they like putting things in?

tmh88 · 03/02/2020 16:55

Well not keys but yesterday I was looking for my phone couldn’t ring it because it was dead and I found it inside a cement toy digger today Grin have you got any cars/diggers with compartments to stash things?

PammieDooveOrangeJoof · 03/02/2020 16:56

Do you have shutters on your window. I know of two children posting keys through shutter slats

Tuliptulip · 03/02/2020 16:57

Fridge! Salad drawer if you want a specific location...
or at least that’s where mine put my phone

Babyfg · 03/02/2020 16:57

Once I spent 1 hour looking for mine. My 2 year old had put them in my boot.

Was your toddler hoovering around any area of the house while the keys went missing? Look at any little holes or gaps around there x

okiedokieme · 03/02/2020 16:58

The car key that was missing for two years! Was in an old hiking boot, no toddlers so a mystery... so far since Christmas I've located my (adult) kids stuff down the back of sofas, under sofas, in their bags (you would have thought they might have looked!) in the oven???, in the fridge???, laundry basket twice, and today, lying in the front garden. Hope you find them.

WatchingFromTheWings · 03/02/2020 16:58

My youngest used to hide his dads keys in places like his sit on trike (the seat usually lifts up to reveal a hiding place, inside his toy kitchen (esp the oven or washing machine). Anything with a lid or a door basically! Recycling bin was another favourite!

Give your toddler something and tell them to put it with the keys. See what they do !

Chottie · 03/02/2020 16:59

My DD did this when she was a toddler.

I found the keys inside a box with a sun lounger in waiting to go into the loft. She had posted them through a small tear in the box which was toddler height.

juicylemon · 03/02/2020 17:00

Down the back of a radiator?

EmeraldShamrock · 03/02/2020 17:01

Radiator, shoe, get on your knees to scope toddler's eye level view look for hiding spots. Good luck.

30under · 03/02/2020 17:02

Mine put them helpfully on a windowsill but behind picture frames...

momtoboys · 03/02/2020 17:04

This particular toddler is now 21 but he once put a friends key in the VCR. He had to have a tow truck come and get his car and take it to the dealer 3 hours away to get a new key made. They found the key when they took the VCR to be fixed! :)

Jobseeker19 · 03/02/2020 17:04

Bin, shoes, behind the tv, toilet draws, cupboards, toy box, pillow case

MapMyMum · 03/02/2020 17:06

Does she have a toy car with a seat that lifts? My keys were missing for 2 days once and ds had been "driving" his car around the house and needed keys for it to be realistic!

Herpesfreesince03 · 03/02/2020 17:07

I found one of my nephews particularly inventive. All sets off house keys, car keys and the sky card all disappeared within a couple weeks. They were very expensive to replace. They eventually turned up in a plant pot, he’d buried them 😂

Sherazade · 03/02/2020 17:11

My toddler had a thing about putting them behind the radiator

Sherazade · 03/02/2020 17:11

Or inside people's boots

GlennBulb · 03/02/2020 17:19

I found the TV remote in the mop bucket once, full of dirty bleach water (days and days it took to dry out).
I know that's no help 😣

Newcatmum · 03/02/2020 17:21

Inside shoes/boots

TamingToddler · 03/02/2020 17:25

Inside a shoe.
Inside a speaker.
Hidden in a toy truck.
All recent places we've found ours, I got DP a tile mate (Amazon) for Christmas and you can find your keys from your phone. It's a godsend.

Roselilly36 · 03/02/2020 17:25

When DH keys went missing, we turned the house upside down, no luck, he said to our toddler you don’t know where my keys are do you mate, yes and went straight to the drawer he had put them in and said proudly I put them in there to keep them safe!

Apolloanddaphne · 03/02/2020 17:25

Look inside everything that is toddler height and inside every toy.
