Where has my toddler put my house keys?!

Argggh I've been looking all day. I came in yesterday afternoon with them, haven't seen them since.
Under the sofa - no
Washing machine - no
In bed - no
On her bookshelf - no.... etc etc.

Of course I could have misplaced them myself but I rarely lose anything so unlikely.

My little one put them in a cereal box!

In her toy kitchen?

Look in the pan cupboard inside pans with the lid on. It happened. Good luck

Mine were by the chicken run!

Have they put them somewhere they have seen you put them? Or, if you're my oldest boys in the VCR. I'm still amazed the managed to fit the whole remote in there (and a slice of toast).

My DS once put a £10 note behind the radiator.

Behind the sofa? (as in stood on the seat and thrown over) Toy box? Handbag? All successful hiding places for my toddler. We are still looking for a remote we lost over Christmas but I am fairly sure that went in the bin (another preferred hiding place haha)

DS once posted a toy car in the VCR and some keys behind the radiator.

Mine like shoes, toy kitchen, cupboards, behind rads, in the ball pool, behind the toilet, in the fireplace.. the list could go on!

In a toy car, or house?
Mine unknown to us buried them in the garden. Dh was starting work at 10pm, we had to get him up to show us where he had put the keys.
We'd searched everywhere
He's 28 and we still remind him.

This happened to us and they were in a shoe. The locksmith was just about to start work when I found them!

My sister when she wa little put car keys in the veg rack when we were visiting a friend. Took us ages to find them.

My then toddler once hid my keys in a boot in the shoe rack. I didn’t ever wear these boots (gardening ones and it was winter). We didn’t find them for months until I went to mow the lawn 😂 I had had new ones cut so they were spares. I always keep a spare somewhere high now!

Found mine in the second drawer of a set of six, when helpful toddler put them away. I kept them in the top one. Never entered my head he would put them somewhere sensible.

Once in the toaster

In a pocket of a sports bag you haven't used for at least a week.

Inside the pushchair. Found out spare key many months later when taking the hood off for some reason.

Do you have anything with a slot through which they could be posted? I lost mine for three weeks until we eventually found them in the wood box next to the fireplace, which has a hole for a handle and the toddler had obviously decided that was the perfect place to post them

We have found keys posted out through the letterbox (!), in the toy chest, zipped into the back of a teddy bear and snuggled in a pet's bed.

Has your toddler got any dressing up bags, shopping basket/trolley type toys?

Any of her toys have pockets?

Is there a gap between your worktop and the washing machine under it?

Upend your handbag, just to check it's not in there. Also any jacket or coat pockets, especially if you were wearing an unusual one last time you went out.
