Me and my DH are opening a small hut. A tea and coffee stop its along a local well used walk. (Weve already checked and applied for various licensing) we are keeping things very very simple just selling tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cold drinks maybe some prepackaged biscuits and a cake of some sorts. My DH things a good flapjack were as I think and old style school sponge (nice cake with white icing and sprinkles) These will be homemade by me. What would you be more likely to buy along a walk ....any suggestions welcome I.e brownie? Coconut jam sponge? Shortbread?

Brownie, cookie bars, millionaire's shortbread, rocky road.. things in a bar that's easy to transport/pop in a pocket. Nobody really likes cupcakes.

To all those insisting the OP has a filter coffee machine, did you miss the fact that they will be using hot water urns, which could mean a lack of electricity supply... a lovely filter coffee machine won't run on thin air!

OP, if you're doing pre-packaged biscuits, Oreos are vegan. I'm not vegan myself so it wouldn't bother me. But it's a very simple buy that doesn't require much effort, but pleases a whole new audience, and they'll also be eaten by non-vegans.

Try and squeeze a coffee machine in. I buy coffee out in parks/by the beach etc and would hate instant. I think this is a must nowadays!

caperplips · 28/01/2020 15:52

In that case I don't understand how the OP will keep enough water hot enough for an entire day of business?

The whole idea seems odd to me, I have never seen a 'hut' coffee shop like this, mind you I don't live in the UK so perhaps they are more common there?

Newnamewhodis1 · 28/01/2020 15:55

Urns are not good enough. Maybe for a stall at a fete or something but a profit making business needs electricity. What about a fridge for milk? Lights? Heating? Or is it literally a thermos and a Tupperware box of flapjacks?

Newnamewhodis1 · 28/01/2020 15:56

If there's electricity to keep water and cans of coke cold there's electricity for a coffee machine

3rdchristmaslucky · 28/01/2020 15:56

Both! Yummy.

OP didn't say it was an electricity issue, she said it was a space issue. She's going to be in a tiny hut, not a tea room.

IShitGlitter · 28/01/2020 16:11

Yes I will have electricity limited but yes If there is a need for filter coffee I will eventually look into it, but on start up it will be instant, maybe coffee bags will have to taste them first.
