My DD is having a soft play party for her 7th birthday, and after food they get to make a Teddy Bear. (a bit like build a bear) I originally planned it with just inviting girls in mind, but there is about 3 boys in her class that she is good friends with, and i know she'd love them to be invited. Would 7 year old boys want to come to a make a bear party?

My 7yr old DN wouldn't but it's not a specific bear party as you have soft play and he'd love that and tolerate the bear bit.

Especially for one of his best friends who is a girl. (Sorry, dicky internet tonight.)

Yes, my 3 boys who are over that age would have enjoyed that at 6/ 7 (Y2?).

Both my boys would love it

TheNoiseHurts · 23/01/2020 21:50

My boys would have loved it at that age.

For both of them that was an age where they were bear/stuffed toy obsessed.

Catiinthehat · 23/01/2020 21:51

Yes, sounds kind a great party. My son went to a few that age and enjoyed them

GogoGobo · 23/01/2020 21:54

Yes my son went to a couple around this age and really enjoyed them, last one was for an 8 year old’s party. (Boy)

Welshponyslave · 23/01/2020 21:58

My 7 year old would love it. I am glad you are inviting her boy friends too, my son’s close friends are girls and he wasn’t invited to their parties (they had pamper parties) though they came to soft play for his. It made me sad as he misses out on parties.

doritosdip · 23/01/2020 22:14

My son went to a Build a Bear party at that age and enjoyed it.

MsTSwift · 23/01/2020 22:18

I did a majority Male build a bear party at this age. It remains the worst birthday party in living memory

Selfcarequeereyestyle · 23/01/2020 22:18

My son who has just turned 7 would love it.

Didiplanthis · 23/01/2020 22:18

Yes. My 7 year old boys would love it ! They are nearly 8...

KoalasandRabbit · 23/01/2020 22:20

My son would have loved that at 7.

MsTSwift · 23/01/2020 22:22

Don’t listen to them it’s a NIGHTMARE!!

Dd assured me her male friends would love it. Nope. They were bored stiff. They ran riot and threw the bears over the garden fence. I was on my own and burnt the pizza for their tea. The friend tasked with collecting dd1 from school didn’t and the deputy head brought her home in tears and witnessed the mayhem. The birthday girl came down with a stomach bug half way through the party and went to bed. Or wax our worst party ever.

MsTSwift · 23/01/2020 22:22

It was worse than the party episode of Motherland

movingdilemma1234 · 23/01/2020 22:26

My GS would love it if he was the only boy. I just know though if his male friends were there it would be considered non cool

Fanniesyeraunt · 23/01/2020 22:27

We did this for dds 8th birthday and ds who was 9 joined in too. He put his in a darth Vader costume with a mini lightsabreGrin

I would say yes so long as there are “boy” clothes to dress them up in.

MsTSwift · 23/01/2020 22:28

Out of about 10 little lads 2 were up for it did an all girl one for dd1 was a roaring success

WhispersOfWickedness · 23/01/2020 22:29

Mine would still love it and he's 10 Grin

Almahart · 23/01/2020 22:30

Mine would have absolutely loved it.

Spied · 23/01/2020 22:33

DS would probably (secretly) have enjoyed it but put him with his peers and he would (sadly) have scoffed at a teddy-making party.

URPS · 23/01/2020 22:33

Mine loved it aged 12!

Totally depends on the boys.

KoalasandRabbit · 23/01/2020 22:34

Mine would still like it too and he's 13 Grin He is ASD and has a large teddy bear collection. Depends on the boy though.

Mrschainsawuk · 23/01/2020 22:38

My 7 yr old son would

Clymene · 23/01/2020 22:40

I had one in year 1. They all loved it.
