How many slices of toast

Would you have if that was your supper?

Worked late today, couldn't be bothered going to the shop on the way home, spent ages cleaning the house then it was too late to cool anything so I had some toast.

Now I'm curious as to how many slices of toast MN would have if it was for your supper?

Two, with an option for a third if there was some kind of chocolate spread on offer.

Fantababy · 23/01/2020 21:38

2 initially. Maybe another two if I was being greedy still hungry.

You’re going to have to reveal the true count now Sloth Grin

Yep, one for a light snack, two as supper.

Quinceandmedlarsrule · 23/01/2020 21:40

My boys always have 4 with a whole large tin of beans for a snack...

Lalala205 · 23/01/2020 21:41

2-3 but would need a lot of Lurpak on 😋

WingBingo · 23/01/2020 21:42

2 for me.

Love51 · 23/01/2020 21:42

Depends if it's a Northern supper (2 digestive biscuits) or a Southern supper (usually an actual meal like pasta). 1 for northern, probably with jam 2-3 for southern, 2 with cheese and one with honey for pudding.

nocoolnamesleft · 23/01/2020 21:42
  1. Used to be 4, but I'm a reformed character.
Ginfordinner · 23/01/2020 21:42

2 here as well

steppemum · 23/01/2020 21:43

So, this is your evening meal? You haven't eaten since lunch (well except for a biscuit with a mug of tea)

If it was instead of a cooked meal, then 2 would not be enough, but then I would need to have cheese on toast, or scrambled egg or something, not just toast.
And it might depend on what I had for lunch!

OttilieKnackered · 23/01/2020 21:43

2 for breakfast, 4 for dinner

PlaymobilPirate · 23/01/2020 21:43

For a 'main meal' at least 3!

ColourMyDreams · 23/01/2020 21:43

I've just eaten 4 slices. Two with cheese spread and the other two with blackberry jam.

rslsys · 23/01/2020 21:47

One slice of toast but in between two slices of buttered bread!
Toast Sandwich - you’re welcome Grin

misskick · 23/01/2020 21:48

I could literally keep going Blush I have to have will power and usually stop my self at 3/4.

Growingboys · 23/01/2020 21:49

Two, with maybe a packet of crisps as a starter and then a yoghurt for pudding.

This is what I ate two nights ago after going out for lunch and coming home tired but not very hungry.

TrainspottingWelsh · 23/01/2020 21:50

If it was supper following some form of afternoon tea style snack earlier on, then 4 slices. If it was supper following lunch, then 4 slices with cheese etc. Or possibly 6 if I couldn't be bothered to do more than butter it.

You could probably double that if it it was standard ready sliced bread.

ButterflyRuns · 23/01/2020 21:51

Usually 2, maybe 3 depending on how long before I ate since. But I've been having 4 lately and think I'll make myself some now, just blaming it on being pregnant Blush

isthistoonosy · 23/01/2020 21:55

As dinner easily 4 prob 6, it would depend on the topping.
After dinner,unlikely I would have ot,so maybe 1.

FruityWidow · 23/01/2020 21:56

1 but I can't virtuous about it because I the slice like a doorstop thick wedge so it's like the same amount as 2-3 normal thickness slices.
