Sunday morning; what's everyone up to today?

I'm just about to go and get dressed, then crack on with back to school stuff for the morning - shirts to iron, buns to bake, my work ID to get back out, check homework's complete or at least in progress.

The girls are off shopping in a while, with their dad, for my birthday at the end of the week. I might do a bit of sewing while they're out

We'll have a roast chicken for tea (but not sure what with yet) & early baths/bed all round ready for the morning.

Christmas tree needs to come down so ill be glad when thats done.

ToEarlyForDecorations · 05/01/2020 10:06

Sitting in my dressing gown because I have had a cold since Friday.

DH made me porridge for breakfast. I'm about to instruct him how I want some glassware etc rearranged in little used kitchen cupboards.

We will probably go for a short walk to the corner shop, not least to get some milk. We both want a bit of air.

Need to do a bit of admin where I've got behind because of being unwell.

I will make a roast pork dinner tonight, to be served with wine for my husband and I.

hopefulhalf · 05/01/2020 10:06

Just done 14k run. Written the weekly meal plan, going shopping then back to sort school stuff, put down tree and get dinner sorted.

ThePinkiestPonk · 05/01/2020 10:23

Sunday football with my DS, food shop then cooking a Sunday roast

Bickles · 05/01/2020 10:25

Lazy morning. DS is playing with Christmas Lego, DH has gone for a run and I’m in the bath.
Going to see Rise of Skywalker this afternoon and then out for food as have TGIs voucher for Christmas.

MsMellivora · 05/01/2020 10:30

DH and DS are going to the park to play football in an hour, I will wander over and meet them. We had friends round last night for board games and beer we cleared up most stuff last night but few bits in kitchen need doing. DS GF will be over at about 1pm, will have a late lunch together, DH has to do a few hours work today to prep for back to work tomorrow so will game on my console this evening.

LexieLoos · 05/01/2020 10:31

Stew in the slow cooker before we're off out for a walk with 9 week old in the pram

Then back to take the tree down, power through the laundry and hopefully a bowl of stew with crusty bread

goldenorbspider · 05/01/2020 10:32

My three year olds first birthday party later

PrincessMaryaBolkonskaya · 05/01/2020 10:32

I need to take the tree down today. I saw on Instagram that Nigel Slater plays carols as he takes his down to make him feel less glum.

I also need to pop to town, meal plan for the week, go for a run, restore some order to my tip of a house, try and find work clothes, and I wanted to cook a roast. I’m nervous about my new job tomorrow so just feel blah.

First I need to get out of bed Crown Grin

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 05/01/2020 10:32

Panicking about the fact I’ve planned no lessons yet and I’m going back to school tomorrow. Trying to find the will power to turn the laptop on and get cracking. It’s only going to get worse as the day goes on. Whilst battling the guilt that it’s the last day of my holidays and should be enjoying it not stuck to the laptop....it’s a dilemma I’ve faced many times before! Ha!

We3kingsoforientareandabump · 05/01/2020 10:33

I'm doing last minute cleaning bits that I haven't done since Xmas. Need to get the house in a state I can keep on top of when back to work/college.

I also have a biology assignment to write.

Lunches to make for tomorrow.

I did a roast last night because I knew I would be cleaning the kitchen today and I absolutely trash the place when I make a roast so dinner today is going to be pork loin steaks but I'm not sure what we're having with them yet.

MIL will be popping in for an hour too.

SoapyChoc · 05/01/2020 10:35

I'm on the sofa pondering making some porridge. Not feeling 100% and have trapped a nerve in my neck so probably a day of pottering round the house. I had planned a day prepping the allotment for spring but that's postponed to next weekend now.

peachypetite · 05/01/2020 10:40

Gym
Tree down
Finishing some freelance work

Fizzypoo · 05/01/2020 10:41

Dp is cleaning the fish tank.
I'm about to take dd to her club. Then I'll be cooking a steak pie with mash for a late lunch.
I'm back to work tomorrow and not looking forward to it - mega overdrive on Sunday blues Sad

Allthecandles · 05/01/2020 10:49

I have about 4 hours computer work to do and then we are going to the gym. I did something silly yesterday and signed up at David Lloyd. I really really liked the place especially the spa but god it’s expensive. More expensive than any prices I had seen quoted on MN beforehand. At least I’ll feel too guilty about money to buy takeout EVER!!!

OceanSunFish · 05/01/2020 10:50

DH has taken DS to his football match. I'm about to start cooking a Sunday roast.

Todaythiscouldbe · 05/01/2020 10:52

Back to reality for us today. Off to football soon, training yesterday was a shock to the system for the 15 year olds who haven't left their rooms for two weeks!
Decorations down later then uniform ready for school/ work tomorrow while I watch Call the Midwife.

Rockbird · 05/01/2020 10:53

Over to PIL for lunch, then pop in to my parents for a cup of tea. Then back home to run round like a blue arsed fly getting ready for school and work tomorrow.

Slazengerbag · 05/01/2020 10:57

I have loads to do today and I can’t be arsed with any of it.

Uniforms and work clothes to iron and get ready
Food shop - sending Dh
Meal prep for lunches
Christmas stuff in the attic
Re make the beds as I’ve washed all of the bedding this morning
Clean the bathroom
Lining paper up on 2 walls in spare room
Hoover through the house
Vegetable curry for dinner
Dogs to walk
Banana bread for kids lunch boxes
Tip run
Clean the fridge
Normal laundry

My children are teenagers and Dh is around so I am delegating a lot of those jobs. When dd is out of the shower no one is allowed on phones/consoles until the jobs are done.

dementedma · 05/01/2020 11:02

Christmas stuff to go into attic.
Buy some peanuts for bird feeders
Find something to wear to work.
No idea about dinner

LatteLover12 · 05/01/2020 11:02

We're just trying to decide where to walk our dog then this afternoon I'll cook Sunday lunch whilst DP faffs around works in the garage and the DC dig out all the school stuff they've misplaced during the holidays.

Training day for me tomorrow so an easier return to work than most.

confusedofengland · 05/01/2020 11:13

DH & DS1 have football this morning 9.20-12.30, same as every week. Bit of a shock as has been nice but having it for 3 weeks & having family time! I have brought DS2 & DS3 to the playpark so we're not stuck in doing nothing.

Home for lunch shortly (hm leek & potato soup) then I'm off to work until 4pm. While I'm out, DH will finish DS2's homework with him.

Early bed tonight ready for school in morning.

maddiemookins16mum · 05/01/2020 11:21

Lie in.
Tea and toast.
Used our new shark hoover for the first time....amazing.
Going to have a nice bath in a bit.
Sort stuff for work on Monday (lunches etc).
I’m doing a lovely roast pork Sunday dinner for 3pm, plus a sticky toffee pudding for Dr Who time tonight.
I’m also going to book our Summer holiday for September (only because I want the leg room seats that are still showing).
Oooh and Call the Midwife is on too tonight.
I have 4 new starters at work tomorrow, so that’s exciting, I love seeing them grow with confidence over the next few weeks and finding their feet although I don’t get much of my own work done.
Online shop to be ordered for Thursday night.

Liskee · 05/01/2020 11:25

I'm loaded with the January blues Sad We're just in from swimming lessons and have had brunch. Plan is to entertain DC, get ready for going back to school & work and cook a roast chicken. Early beds planned and truthfully I just feel like I'm getting through it all. Roll on spring...

MinkowskisButterfly · 05/01/2020 11:33

Currently hiding in my room with a coffee, then 4 year old will be painting my face, then grabbing a shower and tidying up, the tree is down but everywhere is a tip even by my lax standards. All the while wishing I could live in a secluded cabin somewhere away from any people (pmt doesn't seem to have gone away this month).
