Sunday morning; what's everyone up to today?

I'm just about to go and get dressed, then crack on with back to school stuff for the morning - shirts to iron, buns to bake, my work ID to get back out, check homework's complete or at least in progress.

The girls are off shopping in a while, with their dad, for my birthday at the end of the week. I might do a bit of sewing while they're out

We'll have a roast chicken for tea (but not sure what with yet) & early baths/bed all round ready for the morning.

We’ve taken the tree down and DD has been to a birthday party. Now DH and I are listlessly surveying the utter mess that is the house while DD and DS are playing with some of their Christmas presents.

I’d like to make a cup of tea and read my book on the sofa but DS (3yo) is bound to interrupt before I read more than a page. So I suppose I’ll tidy something or do some laundry.

I knew this would be lucysmam even before I clicked on it Grin Had a lazy morning but managed to get a load of washing done and been to the supermarket for my ingredients for a healthy veggie curry 😇 It's a bank holiday weekend where I live and the weather is quite decent so heading out to my friend's soon for a barbecue, wine and to cheer on Liverpool in the FA Cup 🍷🍗⚽

Went to the gym and did a HIIT class. Instructor made us do a group photo afterwards. I looked horrendous so feeling very down on myself now.

Walked to the park to the farmer's market and bought cakes from my lovely cake man.

Healthy, low calorie lunch followed by cake (oops).

Laundry. Yuck. Hate doing laundry.

Should be prepping for a job interview on Tues but I really don't want to.

Trying hard not to think about the remaining cake in the fridge. Repeat over and over.

Lounging in bed finishing off The Testaments by Margaret Atwood, which was brilliant. Also had multiple course breakfast in bed - watermelon, orange juice, tea, fresh tiger bread with butter, and maple and pecan crunch with Greek yoghurt. Now house is clean and tidy and I'm lazing on the sofa before taking dog out.
