Anyone noticed that M&S has very little Xmas food?

Just that really. I’ve been in twice and there’s a definite lack of range in comparison with the past.

I don’t mean the shelves need restocking...I mean there’s not as much to buy. No novelty Xmas cakes, far fewer puddings, etc.

Not one single vegetarian Christmas Day option in M&S this year which I was really surprised about

NaturalBornWoman · 24/12/2019 07:40

I picked up my order last night which was fine but i wanted some other bits as well and was irritated to find the coleslaw and potato salad was dated 25th. I did notice that most of the special 'to order' items weren't also available off the shelf, which they have been in previous years. I wanted an extra pudding and there wasn't much choice.

Yes I’ve found the veggie selection to be rubbish in M&S this year.

We’ve had their mushroom Wellington for years (boring, I know, but we love it!) and it sold out very quickly online.

I thought about taking a risk and going to the huge M&S near us but in the end ordered one from Cook, as they have a shop just two miles away. It won the Good Housekeeping award for the second year so can’t wait to try it!

My M&S has loads of Yule logs/ fondant cakes/ showpiece deserts / savoury and party Christmas food. Lovely mini mince pies with cranberries (x9 for £5.... better than Waitrose). I was really impressed with the selection and it was all selling like hot cakes. I live in affluent well populated area

Also saw about 10 types of mince pies including vegan (yummy) and frangipani ones (almond) fresh bakery, posh and standard mini and normal size, gluten free. I’m not sure what was missing tbh?

They had run out of Christmas Colin caterpillar cakes

BrokenWing · 24/12/2019 08:13

Masses of yule logs here (1 1/2 in my fridge and confirm the fresh ones @ £10 in the red box are very nice!)

For the first time every we had a problem with our food to order this year when I picked up yesterday, they had run out of profiteroles in a bowl with chocolate mouse and offered a cheaper off the shelf substitute instead.

If they can't even get Food right it will be the end of M&S.

Very short dates in our M&S. Went to Sainsbos instead!
