I love...

God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen

Once in Royal David’s City

O Come, O Come Emmanuel

If I had to choose 1 it would probably have to be Once in Royal David’s City.

Hark the Herald Angels Sing, especially the last verse which is glorious.

I love 'O Come O Come Emmanuel' and 'In the Deep Midwinter'.

Away in a Manger.
O Little Town of Bethlehem
O Come, O come Emmanuel

catlovingdoctor · 07/12/2019 09:36

Tomorrow shall be my dancing day. The versions from Carols from King's on YouTube are very moving.

Jocasta2018 · 07/12/2019 09:36

King's College Choir starting the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols with Once in Royal David's City as they enter the chapel on Christmas Eve. For me the true beginning of Christmas.

Will be even more poignant this year following the death of Stephen Cleobury at the end of November 2019.

ConstantlyCooking · 07/12/2019 09:38

O come o come Emmanuel
Carol of the bells
In the bleak midwinter
Coventry carol
O come all te faithful
(I really like carols)

Poochnewbie · 07/12/2019 09:38

Silent Night
Hark the Herald
O little Town

I love Christmas Carols; I love choirs; I love orchestras or brass bands playing them. They’re just beautiful.

Ginfordinner · 07/12/2019 09:40

Oh Holy Night

For some reason it isn't in most hymn books. It reminds me of my childhood and the magical Christmases we used to have. My mum used to have an LP (yes, I am old) with a French boys choir singing Christmas carols, and this was the first track.

I think I also like it because you don't hear it all the time.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 07/12/2019 09:41

Candlelight Carol without a doubt.

Followed by Oh Holy Night sung by a male voice choir. Beautiful!

Sparklybaublefest · 07/12/2019 09:41

Silent night
