Think Kevin Spacey involved with this business watch his last instagram post.
He travelled together with Clinton & Epstein to Africa its a really strange video

Bluerussian · 26/11/2019 21:22

The Duke of Kent is a mason. Grand Master or something. Haven't heard of any other royals who are.

HairyToity · 26/11/2019 21:43

Very tenuous. My grandads friends brother was a chauffeur to the Royal Family in the 1950s, 60s and 70s. I never heard any gossip, only he disliked all of them except for Prince Philip. Apparently Philip was very friendly and salt of the earth. The chauffeur used to often go to a local pub for a pint with Prince Philip, at the end of the day.

I know Prince Philip being nice doesn't fit with the narrative.

Maybe Philip wanted a drinking buddy so he didn’t have to go home.

Bertrand

Don’t be so patronising. Working in a supermarket doesn’t equate to a boring and dull life.

TrixieFranklin · 27/11/2019 00:28

I must say I thought the queen looked very well today.

Moomin8 · 27/11/2019 03:33

Yeah, well he's actually another one who was accused of assaulting a child. His response? 'If that happened it would have been inappropriate' Hmm

Seems oddly like PA 'that's definitely me in the photo but goodness knows how I got there'

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/11/2019 05:05

Article about the Queen possibly retiring from duties at 95
Since the Andrew sacking ( and this was Charles acting decisively); it’s basically Charles and also William running the show.

WineOrGinOrBoth · 27/11/2019 07:02

Interesting article thank you for posting Curly

BertrandRussell · 27/11/2019 07:13

Good to see the Sun hasn’t lost its touch, getting those digs at H&M into an article even more speculative than usual!

Verily1 · 27/11/2019 08:32

I think Charles will take the hrh off all the York’s when he gets the hm.

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/11/2019 08:39

I'm not sure he can do that, can he?

Roussette · 27/11/2019 08:48

Oh god Charles won't do that, when push comes to shove, the RF are as tight as a ducks arse together.

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/11/2019 09:00

I don't think anyone who was ever born into the BRF as an HRH has had it taken off them. Not even the Duke of Windsor.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/11/2019 09:01

Thé HRHs are automatic with the Letters Patent, I thought.

I think that would be mean to get rid of them.
Andrew has been thoroughly disgraced and retired as it should be.
Thé hrh / bowing curtsying concept is archaic however.

I don’t have a problem with people acknowledging the Queen and prince Charles for their age and experience, but calling Kate & William sir and ma’am are just ridiculous.

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/11/2019 09:24

Theresa May's curtsey to William was one of the most cringeworthy things I've ever seen.

sashh · 27/11/2019 10:13

Surely Charles could issue, 'letters patent' if/when he becomes King and remove the HRH.

The Sussexs offspring will automatically become HRH Prince / princess (assuming they have more children) as grand children of the monarch but I think there will be a change to not give them those titles.

The Swedish RF have just culled some HRHs and I'm sure it was done in WWI to stop the German branch of the family using them.

Actually having a look at the Swedish and Dutch RFs wouldn't be a bad idea, they have rules about business and work, basically if you are one of a the top royals you are not allowed to work or own a business, if you do then you have to give up your titles.

That might clip Andrew's wings, he either gives up things like money from Pitch or he he gives up his title.

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/11/2019 10:20

I think the Sussex children will end up like the Wessexes - both are entitled to be HRHs but their parents have elected not to use those titles for them.

LaMarschallin · 27/11/2019 10:30

QueenOfTheAndals

I don't think anyone who was ever born into the BRF as an HRH has had it taken off them. Not even the Duke of Windsor.

I think that's right. There's a difference between being born HRH and acquiring the status (although, unlike greatness in the quotation, I don't think anyone's had it thrust upon them recently 🙂).

There's a lot of misunderstanding about titles and the royal family. Eg, articles saying that Camilla shouldn't be made princess of Wales as it would be wrong for her to have "Diana's title".
As if D was born poW or was the first/only one. Of course (the revolution notwithstanding) Camilla is princess of Wales. She's married to the prince of Wales. They just tactfully don't mention it.

And, imo, that's one of the symptoms that the royals have morphed in the public mind into nothing more than the biggest reality television show ever; so, for example, we think we can vote for people to have titles or have them removed.

Theresa May's curtsey to William was one of the most cringeworthy things I've ever seen.

Oh good grief, yes!
The PM grovelling in front of a man young enough to be her son and with far less power (except the super-power of being unable to be voted out).
V poor optics.
