Here is another thread to discuss the PA interview and its repercussions.

I remember now the photos of him looking very uncomfortable on a horse.

Looks more and more like a publicity stunt.

I wonder how well the Queen is dealing with all this. At her age, she's bound to be more frail, and this situation is so very damaging to the monarchy. I hope nothing happens to her in the near future. She doesn't really seem to have anyone close to support her.

ThatLibraryMiss · 22/11/2019 22:00

Could this actually bring down the monarchy?

I've been wondering this. It certainly feels like the beginning of the end, or certainly the start of big changes.

Bluerussian · 22/11/2019 22:04

Oh I think the Queen has a lot of support from her family. I too hope nothing happens to her just yet, this must be awful for her.

Plenty of families have at least one embarrassing relative, the royals with weather this particular storm and sooner or later the media will focus on others who were even more involved with Epstein. Prince Andrew is only one of many.

I wonder where Ghislane Maxwell is right now, she appears to have been up to her eyes in the s**t.

Given that she’s been quite happy to be photographed with him on several occasions over the past few months, directly after he’s been in the papers imo says she’s not that bothered by what he’s done and therefore I’ve not got a lot of sympathy.

and I saw a brief note that the FBI know where she is (presumably stateside))

@Rumboogie
"The photo with PA is odd. The women look as if they are having a whale of a time, relaxed, wide grins reach their eyes; PA looks uncomfortable, with a 'social smile', his eyes are looking in a different direction. Also. Virginia Roberts - who stands with their hand like that?
There is something not right about the back of PA's trousers"

While I agree with 99.9% said on here about PA ,I agree that this photo lookd odd . I was thinking I was the only one wondering why PA and Virginia are looking in different directions.

Dowser · 22/11/2019 22:23

And pitch @ Palace
Is now being moved out of the palace and has been rebranded
Pitch

Everything is in free fall for him right now.

ReggieLedoux · 22/11/2019 22:35

I have Just watched ‘the prince and the peadophile’ on all4 catch-up, shocking and so sad and disturbing. I am genuinely so grateful we live in a democracy where this level of corruption can be openly broadcast but I would say watch it now if you possibly can as I have a feeling it may be taken down soon. 😡

spacepyramid · 22/11/2019 22:53

Why was Sarah Ferguson grinning and being all jolly when she was driven to Buckingham Palace?

Covering up her nerves?

As for the rumours about him being gay, honestly - so what if he is?
Surely it'd be better for him to come out and say, yes, I'm gay than have all this shit slung at him?

WineOrGinOrBoth · 22/11/2019 22:58

She looked like she hadn’t slept for a week IMO. I don’t mean that horribly by the way. She just looked shattered, smiling or not. Pictures of her leaving will have been more interesting I suspect.

noodlenosefraggle · 22/11/2019 23:02

I think this whole thing has moved on a bit from the photo now. That interview demonstrated his contempt for us all. As if he thought he could make up any old shit and people were too stupid and gullible not to believe it. The photos been a around for ages ( and the fbi and countless others have had a chance to question it's authenticity and havent). The implosion only happened after he showed himself up in the interview.

7Days · 22/11/2019 23:09

I agree, the interview sealed it.
It would be easy to say, Yes I went to a lot of parties, hugged lots of people, plenty of photos take.
I have a million photos of myself draped around randomers, that I cant remember who they were even if some of them turned out to be notorious - pleb-level notorious, but still.

AnyMinuteNow · 22/11/2019 23:17

They were looking enough in thensame direction to get red eye from the flash reflection direct on the lens

Justajot · 22/11/2019 23:26

PA has done very well out of this. Royals don't normally get to retire, you've got people like Princess Anne still working at nearly 70, yet he will get to actually retire.

Dowser · 22/11/2019 23:29

Wine or gin
I think Sarah Ferguson had just returned from abroad..Venice?

heath48 · 22/11/2019 23:36

The Queen out riding this morning with her disgraced son, that was showing the “commoners” that she couldn’t care less about our opinion.

Big mistake, this is not going to go away,as far as I can tell there is a growing tide of unrest about the Royal Family, there days may well be numbered.I certainly hope so.

Encyclo · 22/11/2019 23:58

I've never heard so much dissent from so many quarters about the Royal Family.

Kinsters · 23/11/2019 03:00

I was always a royalist until I watched that interview. The contempt that man (and presumably all of them) have for the rest of us is galling. They need to go.

Bluerussian · 23/11/2019 03:17

Thanks for that link, serendipity. Wow, the court papers mention thousands of people involved with Epstein.

Heath, I imagine the Queen feels terrible about this business and is very angry with her son but we are not going to be privy to their private conversations. He's still her son regardless of what he may have done. Parents tend to support their children even if they go to prison for something heinous, mum and dad will visit trying to mask their shame. From that point of view the Queen is no different to anyone else.

She probably believes his version of events anyway.

sashh · 23/11/2019 04:03

Just a thought, maybe mummy is doing the, 'I can't let you out of my sight' routoine and he has been dragged along riding etc.

Probably not but the thought amuses me.

slipperywhensparticus · 23/11/2019 04:04

..

Dongdingdong · 23/11/2019 04:29

There is no way the British public would allow all that pomp and ceremony for one of Andrew's daughters now.

Beatrice was never planning a big wedding anyway apparently.

Dongdingdong · 23/11/2019 04:33

Who's she got now ? Bonkin' Boris. It's hard to imagine how his advice is going to help in anyway.

Indeed. Boris’s quick fire answer about the royal family on the ITV debate was that they’re “beyond reproach”. Shocking.

JoObrien7 · 23/11/2019 04:47

@Dongdingdong

What do you expect Boris to do tell the Queen he thinks her son is a paedo? I think he has an opinion about Andrew but he cannot say what he really thinks because the Queen must be struggling with the fact that her favorite son has done something despicable not to mention how her grandaughters (his daughters) must be feeling at the this moment.
