Would you sleep with your friend ? ( Not like that )

My friend and I have booked a coach trip which is a show and an overnighter in a hotel. This was arranged a good few months ago. My friend booked and I paid her.
We are due to go on a few weeks. Chatting about it last night she mentioned we are in a double room. I had assumed we would be in a twin.
I of course am not worrying anything would happen , but am also perhaps a bit Confused about it.
Would you happily share a bed with your friend ? ( I have never shared a bed before, even as a child with a sister , cousin or friend ) only dh or dc.

yes i would

Ketomeato · 17/11/2019 10:39

Yes of course!

VanessaShanessaJenkins · 17/11/2019 10:41

Yes

Fishcakey · 17/11/2019 10:41

I hate sharing beds so I'd rather not but if I had to I would.

Iggleonkupsy · 17/11/2019 10:41

Yep many times! It is totally normal in my circle. When I was at uni, there were many nights where one of us was upset about something (usually guys!) And we would share a bed just so we weren't upset on our own.
I have a double bed now (in a shared house) and when friends come to stay we share a bed.

Wallabyone · 17/11/2019 10:42

I would have no problem with it. On the eve of my wedding, my two best friends slept with me in my bed!

happycamper11 · 17/11/2019 10:43

My entire teenage years then early twenties were spent staying at each other's houses with friends and sharing the bed of whoever's house I was at, I now share a bed with dd most nights and when staying away with friends she always wants to sleep with me but other options have been to share with friend and kids all in one room. I'd not think twice 💁🏼‍♀️

SuziGeo · 17/11/2019 10:43

I wouldn't have any problem with it at all. Have shared with many of my friends for the odd night/weekend away. Also with my mum, sister, cousin... not all at the same time:) There's the unspoken rule that each person sticks to their half of the bed.

LookAtWhatYouCouldHaveWon · 17/11/2019 10:43

Yup. Of course.

TwinkleRedMoon · 17/11/2019 10:54

Always a twin for me and my friends. Can it be changed to a twin?

wheresmyhairytoe · 17/11/2019 10:58

I'll happily share a bed with a close friend and have on many occasions.

RiftGibbon · 17/11/2019 11:00

Yes, and have done in the past.

Fleetheart · 17/11/2019 11:01

Of course

Chewbecca · 17/11/2019 11:01

I have. Wouldn’t choose to but if that’s only option then yes.

NorthUtsire · 17/11/2019 11:02

Yes, I often share with a friend when we go away. It's my friends who get the raw end of the deal as I snore.

ELM8 · 17/11/2019 11:03

Depends on the friend in all honestly...

dontgobaconmyheart · 17/11/2019 11:03

I probably wouldn't unnecessarily iyswim or go out of my way to (obviously) but wouldn't have an issue with it specifically other than the fact I hate sharing a bed and prefer my own space, so would pay more for a separate room if that were an option.

Perhaps she is trying to keep costs down OP?

happycamper11 · 17/11/2019 11:04

The only thing I will say is that if you've truly never shared a bed with another person ever then you may struggle to sleep and could spoil your day if the event is the next day.

LimpidPools · 17/11/2019 11:04

Of course I would, but I would prefer twin beds because I am a fidgeter, a flailer and a snorer and it's embarrassing.

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 17/11/2019 11:05

I'd much prefer not to as I like my own space and I snore so I'd feel embarrassed about that, but I have shared bed with friends many times.

isitxmasyet · 17/11/2019 11:06

Nope
Wouldn’t even be very keen on a twin room tbh as i would hate sharing a bathroom let alone a bed.

I’ve shared a four bedded room with friends and tbh that’s Dd me quite uncomfortable but just one would be even worse.

Tractorgirlz · 17/11/2019 11:06

Yes I would, and have quite recently. 3 of us shared a double bed Grin

InsertFunnyUsername · 17/11/2019 11:08

Yes. Have shared with friends, siblings and DM before.

TiddyTid · 17/11/2019 11:08

Yep done this a few times

DaisyDando · 17/11/2019 11:09

I have shared with my best friend loads of time, and, when necessary, with other friends. But now I’m middle aged I’d rather not. In fact, I’d rather pay and have my own room. But I fart and snore.
