What have you forgotten from a hotel room?

I have just got back from an overnight stay and have realised I left my little bottles of shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom.

When we got married we left dh's wedding suit hanging in the wardrobe (luckily realised quite quickly and went back)

One hotel stay we discovered the remains of someone's takeaway in a drawer.

So what have you forgotten?

A brand new book last week. 😕

Travel adapter, charger, a Nintendo ds, various teddies .... none my fault!

A rain coat stands out.

Also a book and once or twice toiletries.

The bar bill.

I'm terrible for leaving stuff in the safe. On our honeymoon husband had to drive a campervan through central Auckland to collect my iPad and kindle I had left in the safe

My engagement ring!

Luckily my FIL (to be at that point) was still at the complex and was able to pop in and get it even though we were miles away when I realised

My friend left her Slendertone thingy at Champneys some years ago, they posted it to me, she had no idea she had left it under her bed.

I left a brand new bottle of very special shampoo in the shower in Paris on my last day, have never forgotten that as I was rushed out of the room without being given a chance to check.

I did once leave some sandals behind as I wasn't keen on them, hoping the maid would find a use for them.

Spare car keys

A bra and a Tiffany bracelet whilst in London on a work trip. Funnily enough, I got a call to say I'd left a bra behind...

My £120 running shoes. I didn't even use them as it was a freakishly hot 40 degrees.

A credit card in safe

We once left our passports, and didn't realise till we reached the border 3 hours later.

Passports and a diamond bracelet. All my bras. A really good hairdryer. Got them all back but I’m useless at packing up.

My favourite dress. The owner was an angel and posted it back to me. 😘

I used to be a receptionist and without fail every week we collected up at least 5 chargers.
We had a huge cardboard box full of chargers.

It wasn’t uncommon to find porn mags under the bed.

Weirdest thing we found was sex toys I guess.

A jacket for me but my sister used to work in a hotel and the worst thing she found was a giant butt plug - apparently she was amazed it would actually fit up someones arse!

Anything and everything, including but not limited to :
Mobile phones (I once had to drive across Bavaria to retrieve one)
Guide books.
Plug adaptors.
T-shirts
Books
Toothbrushes
Toiletries
Shoes.

All this despite ‘checking’ the room before I leave...

Nothing. My DH is bordering on obsessive when he checks the room before leaving. It's infuriating but it does mean that we've never lost anything!

I wonder how many people leave passports in the safe and only realise when checking in.

I bet they miss their flight by the time they go back to the hotel and then back to the airport!!!

Sleep mask. Just discovered that one 5 minutes ago 😩

A really nice white broderie anglais skirt - it had obviously been laid out on the pristine white bed as I packed and was 'camouflaged ' . We were on a road trip, staying in several different places so it was a while later before I realised it was missing.

A dressing gown hanging behind the bathroom door. Also a dress that had got a bit damp from the swimming pool, that I'd hung there to dry.

They were both posted back to me thankfully.
