I love M&S Percy Pig sweets. But they are £1.69 per pack.
So I buy ‘Dinky Dogs’ from Poundland which are practically almost the same.

Do you know of other cheaper versions / imitations of products (be it food, drink, anything really!) that you can share?

Aldi currently has a knock off of the Hotel Chocolat H Box and it's just as good, if not better than the HC version.

mumof2masterofnone · 14/11/2019 16:31

Aldi pringles!

nottoday3000 · 14/11/2019 17:48

I ordered some perfume from Perfume Parlour last night because of this thread! Never heard of it before, am trusting your opinions!

Oldraver · 14/11/2019 21:20

Aldi Irish Creme, not the cheap one the 'extra special' or whatever

Smelly 50
It’s called my perfect colour matte foundation
I think it’s about £3

mawof3soontobe · 14/11/2019 22:53

Aldis everything! Jives instead of twix, norpak for lurpak, all the alcohol, the Jo malone candles, the aussie shampoo, the nappies, it's just heaven in aldi in general!

NegroniOnIce · 14/11/2019 22:56

Lidl just did a range of skin care stuff. Called Hyaluron 4D - I’m not sure what it’s meant to be a dupe of but it sold out in a day. I bought all the five products at 2.99 a piece and it’s bloody amazing! Wish I’d bought more because sometimes they never repeat these things. If your Lidl still has it then buy it!

MikeUniformMike · 15/11/2019 17:34

I saw those in Lidl in the last chance to buy and left them, because I bought a Q10 serum recommended here instead and I have lots and lots of unopened moisturisers . There weren't many left and it was weeks ago.

Vinosaurus · 15/11/2019 17:39

Aldi's Pesto Rosso rather than Sacla' (or other brands) - it's bloody gorgeous.

Craftycorvid · 15/11/2019 17:40

Another vote for the Lacura caviar cream - I stockpile the stuff!

Moominfan · 16/11/2019 19:52

Was in Aldi tonight, make up event starts on Thursday :) will be stocking up on mascaras

StylishMummy · 16/11/2019 20:28

Only thing I DONT like from Aldi is their ketchup & Greek yoghurt. Everything else is the same/better than branded

Cherrysoup · 16/11/2019 21:41

I usually drop dh off at aldi to do the shopping...I need to go in myself dont I?

Blimey, if there’s an Aldi trip, I’m in! I’m so jealous that my DH sometimes goes midweek without me because I’m at work. Saying that, Aldi and Lidl are opening opposite one another not far from me this month, although it’s gonna piss off the other businesses on the industrial estate and there’ll be no parking!

Grimbles · 16/11/2019 21:48

The only formula my daughter would take was Aldi Mamia. Apparently its the same as aptamil used to be before the changed it.

Mamalicious16 · 16/11/2019 23:22

I know it's a long shot but are there any cheaper beauty products/ make up copies for sensitive skin?

Dieu · 16/11/2019 23:50

@legoiseverywhere

I agree about Sainsbury's own brand mayonnaise. It is absolutely foul. Regrettably I had to chuck it out, as it was inedible.

legoiseverywhere · 17/11/2019 08:59

@Dieu yeah it's bad, i'm trying to palm it off on the kids

CalamityJune · 17/11/2019 09:07

I always say this but Aldi Fruit and Fibre is SO much better than Kelloggs.

CalamityJune · 17/11/2019 09:09

Aldi have got bit knock off Christmas Yankee Candles in at the moment. I don't normally like festive Yankees as I find them too seeet but some of the Aldi ones seem ok. £3.99 for a huge one.

CalamityJune · 17/11/2019 09:10

I keep remembering things!! Aldi Titan bars are as nice as Mars bars

TheCanterburyWhales · 17/11/2019 09:18

I agree re Perfume Parlour.
Any knock off of Jo Malone is worth a punt. Both the Superdrug and PP versions are just as good- they'll smell slightly different because JMs are cologne so basically flavoured water.
Collection concealer is a bazillion times better than Touche Éclat and doesn't smell like a minging dirty dishcloth after a week like TE.

soloula · 17/11/2019 09:23

I love the NYX setting spray. Just as good as the urban decay one that costs about 4x more.

SoupDragon · 17/11/2019 09:35

Aldi's knock off Snickers bars are good too. Ranger? Something like that.
