So. Who will be the media’s Remembrance Day whipping boy this year?

Corbyn? For wearing the wrong coat/suit/tie/shoes/face?

Meghan-for being caught smiling at the wrong moment, or attention seeking for being seen at an event while there is speculation about her being pregnant?

Johnson? For not having his shirt tucked in?

William and/or Harry for not publicly embracing?

Kate? For something- can’t think what. Too many poppies? Wearing a headband?

Definitely Corbyn. Will watch with interest.
Kate is being seen as a saint currently, Megan clearly off limits, even if just for Christmas. Unless shes papped doing something frivolous today, whilst on her extended holiday.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 10/11/2019 08:55

Corbyn for sure. He always is.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 10/11/2019 08:57

People are already slating Corbyn for not being at the Albert Hall last night.

Corbyn is already getting grief because he wasn't at the Albert Hall yesterday.

Dyrne · 10/11/2019 09:00

The Fail were gleefully speculating last night at the remembrance event as to why William and Harry arrived separately and didn’t pose for photos together. The Royal spokesperson rather tartly responded that they were there to pay tribute to the fallen, not to pose for photos...

I imagine today will be more of the same. Probably accompanied by 80,000 photos of the duchesses on the balcony with every facial expression and movement analysed for signs of their “feud”...

TheQueef · 10/11/2019 09:02

Corbyn has to be odds on.
Even though it's a good opportunity to bash royals the GE will mean it's Corbyn.
Interesting to see if bojo gaffs.

IdiotInDisguise · 10/11/2019 09:06

I think it should be the Queen, for having the politician, who gives voice to the extreme right, in the royal box.

Least we forget...

EssentialHummus · 10/11/2019 09:09

Corbyn for whatever he’s wearing, presumably.

Pinkblueberry · 10/11/2019 09:11

Princess Charlotte probably or George. The media are bunch of shit stirrers and love to cause outrage where there is none, I wouldn’t put it past them. They might get angry with Prince Louis also for not attending...

scarecrowfeet · 10/11/2019 09:18

There's already been comments that Meghan's dress was too low. Also read a few about dancers on Strictly. Hmm

Mistigri · 10/11/2019 09:20

Gotta be Corbyn and Meghan, surely?

RiftGibbon · 10/11/2019 09:20

Corbyn. His shoelaces won't be respectful enough or whatever crap excuse the gutter press can scrape the barrel for.

TheWhatWhats · 10/11/2019 09:21

Corbyn...

Aragog · 10/11/2019 09:44

On Twitter Meghan is already getting grief for potentially being pregnant at the event as she was photographed touching her stomach. So definitely not off bounds.
And the four of them for being sat so far apart, despite being in very similar seats last year.

BertrandRussell · 10/11/2019 12:12

Meghan’s hat is too informal apparently..

Hopefully the bellend I just saw calmly stroll out with the poppy box under his arm, full of coins, in my local Waitrose in central London.

DuckWillow · 10/11/2019 12:22

Well Johnson just tossed the wreath upside down when placing it. He won’t be censured for that but god help Corbyn if he has a button out of place.

Sick of it tbh.

KurriKurri · 10/11/2019 12:23

I watched the Cenotaph ceremony and Jeremy Corbyn was exemplary - I think they'd be very hard pushed to find anything wrong with his clothes or his demeanor.
Johnson was his usual affected shambles - but that's his whole act so unlikely he would drop it just out of resepct for the fallen.

Jo Swinson looked very smart and dignified - I'm not a fan but she rose to the occasion.

I didn't see Megan but whatever she wore however she looked it will be wrong - so she might just as well turn up dressed like Lady Gaga and laugh all through the ceremony, since she'll be getting spite thrown her way whatever.

BertrandRussell · 10/11/2019 12:54

If Johnson has been a Labour PM the Telegraph readers would be spluttering!

The fail online page have picture of Megan and Sophie but theyve called her Sarah Ferguson. Classic.Wine

ScreamingCosArgosHaveNoRavens · 10/11/2019 13:07

I noticed Corbyn was wearing a smarter coat this year.

I thought all the Royals looked very downcast - something more than the solemnity you would expect.

starfishmummy · 10/11/2019 13:10

Johnsons girlfriend looked an absolute mess. Hair flying around and coat undone revealing a mismash of layers underneath. I know its cold but she could have looked tidier

TheQueef · 10/11/2019 13:19

There's still time to catch Corbyn doing something inflammatory.
He rubbed his jaw this morning.
Could be taken as a sign he's a pacifist Hmm
