Hi

Thought I'd combine two of my favourite threads...so what are you up to at the moment and what do you have planned for your meal?

DH cooking risotto, DC on console playing and I'm bumming about on the sofa freezing despite them walking about in T shirts Hmm

cheers Wine Gin Brew

I'm sorting out house insurance and paying some bills, dh is fixing a laptop and ds is on YouTube.
Pizza tonight. I made the dough earlier, we often have homemade pizza on Saturday, its ds favourite.

My almost 7yo is just getting over the flu bless him (was off the whole week!) and the 4yo has been poorly as well. Thankfully they seem to be on the mend now.

So we've just had a lazy day. We did all bath / shower before getting into clean pyjamas.

We had our new washing machine delivered so I'm trying to get in top of the washing. I also nipped out to run some errands earlier and I've been indoors with ill people for several days and going to the bank / post office etc was quite appealing. Thankfully this was before is started pissing down.

Debating what to do for dinner as nobody has had much of an appetite? Thinking kids can have a freezer dinner (fishfingers, oven chips and beans) me and DP may grab a Thai or something later.

More of the same tomorrow, so everyone is well enough for school on Monday.

I'm binge watching Happy Valley and cruising MN.

The fellas knitting my daughter a scarf for Christmas and the cats are sprawled in front of the fire.

We're having last nights leftover stew in big homemade Yorkshire puds. We've jam roly poly and custard for pud.

My eldest is out with my dad, they were planning to go to the park but it's really rainy here at the moment so think they've gone to McDonald’s and then to visit my grandad. My youngest has had only a 20 minute nap today so I'm now giving her a junky tea in front of the tv to keep her awake Blush I'm also starting tea for me and dp who's out playing football.
I'm hoping the lack of nap today means that I'll be able to get my sewing machine out this evening but my youngest is a terrible sleeper so doubt it will work out that way 😂

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 09/11/2019 16:36

We were supposed to meet friends for dinner and drinks in town, but friend is ill. So then we thought we'd go out, just the two of us. But it's been chucking down all day, and not very inviting. But we bought salad, and it so doesn't feel like a salad day! So...no idea....

SpiderCharlotte · 09/11/2019 16:39

Made soup, wrapped some Christmas presents, had a bath, sorted out a load of washing easy day really.

Sausage,.mash and baked beans for tea tonight. The food of Kings. 😂

winniesanderson · 09/11/2019 16:41

I just realised I didn't answer half 😂 pasta bake for us adults, McDonald’s for the eldest and lots of junk and beans for the toddler 😂

Fridaynightfuntime · 09/11/2019 16:44

I’m lying in the sofa covered by a blanket mumsnetting and MSEing.

My kids are watching Green Eggs and Ham.

Dominos in our house tonight but I ate so much crusty bread with my soup at lunch (and more as a snack) I’m feeling quite full so hoping OH takes his time Blush

JessicaRarebit · 09/11/2019 16:45

Hungover today so we’ve been mooching. Went for a swim earlier, had brunch and we’ve been lounging with our dd.

Tonight has Deliveroo feels. Probably sushi.

PreschoolYes · 09/11/2019 16:46

Watching The Good Dinosaur with 3 year old DS, DH is pottering watching football on his phone. Going to sort DS' tea shortly.

Tea tonight is steak, chips and salad.

LazyFace · 09/11/2019 16:46

I chopped up a load of meat for the frezer for the cat earlier, now I'm trying to save all the fat that came off the pig by converting it into lard and cracklings (apparently).
The oven is heating up for some freezer food and my backside is now almost glued to the door as the kitchen is unheated.
Husband is watching tv after some furniture re-assembling and the children are playing too loud wrestling games. Which means husband shouts every now and then and soon someone will be crying.

Somuchroom · 09/11/2019 16:47

Currently sat on sofa next to dc, I’m on mn, he’s watching MrMagoo. Dh is in the kitchen making halloumi burgers with a fried egg and chips. I’m going to tidy up the sea of toys surrounding us.

LazyFace · 09/11/2019 16:47

Oh, dinner is duck wraps and ice cream.

ParkheadParadise · 09/11/2019 16:49

I'm just back from a food shop. DH is on the sofa, Dd is walking about in a Elsa dress and wellies.
Having a take away later. Dd is having fish fingers, chips and peas.

lucysmam · 09/11/2019 16:49

Dd2 has been in the bath, and dd1 has had a shower (thanks to their dad having them today!).

I've been home from work an hour or so, have poured Wine and am waiting for the oven to warm up...I forgot to put it on so tea's ready to cook & the oven is not

Nonstopbuttmachine · 09/11/2019 16:52

I'm sitting outside chilling with a glass of wine, still 25c where I live Smile Wine Planning to make a healthy stir -fry then watch Strictly 💃💃💃

Iwouldbecomplex · 09/11/2019 16:54

Tucked up in bed watching Man Men because I'm doing IVF and feeling a bit knackered. I can smell the BBQ pulled pork that's been in the slow cooker all day and we will be having for tea on nachos with guac, salsa, vegan cheese and cashew sour cream (avoiding dairy atm). Yum :)

lucysmam · 09/11/2019 16:54

I forgot to tell you what tea is!

Honey bbq chicken bites with salad and possibly wedges since I have time to chop spuds (or maybe not, I might just count the minutes the oven takes to heat up).

embolass · 09/11/2019 16:56

my 2 fave threads also! kids and I having meatballs, hubby is on leftover lasagne. they will moan and want takeaway though, which is kind of appealing as Ive opened the wine and now cant be bothered rolling the balls! Both DCs out later so its feet up and Strictly.

jess3817 · 09/11/2019 16:57

Did park run with my kids this morning. Shopping, Just back from 3 hours swimming, longing on the sofa, they're having a bit of time on their tablets. Oven meal tonight chicken style nuggets chips and salad. Oatly ice cream for pud.

CalamityJune · 09/11/2019 16:57

Just got back from a dog walk and keeping DS settled with Peppa Fucking Pig while DH cooks nachos for tea. Sadly he's forgotten salsa but we do have guacamole and sour cream so they might be ok.

He's doing a night shift later so I get the TV and bed all to myself too. I'll either watch strictly or netflix and do some lesson planning.

cushioncovers · 09/11/2019 17:00

I'm out for a curry with some old work friends. Really looking forward to it. But atm I'm sat on sofa with blanket watching tv.

SydneyCarton · 09/11/2019 17:45

Children are having afternoon tea for dinner, little finger sandwiches and tiny cups of tea. DP and I will have some sort of prawn stir fry later, either with noodles or a fried rice type of thing. Deciding whether to go to the school fireworks in a bit- we’ve already paid for the tickets but it’s wet and cold and there’s a general can’t be arsed vibe, but no one wants to come out and say it Grin

Bickles · 09/11/2019 17:48

DS has a friend for a sleepover. They are eating pizza prior to watching a film.
DH is making dumplings for tea.
I am drinking wine on the sofa!

OctoberLovers · 09/11/2019 17:50
