What's everyone up to/What's for tea/dinner thread?

Hi

Thought I'd combine two of my favourite threads...so what are you up to at the moment and what do you have planned for your meal?

DH cooking risotto, DC on console playing and I'm bumming about on the sofa freezing despite them walking about in T shirts

I just made a massive veggie Mulligawty soup, had two bowls of it so now I'm stuffed. Only lunch time here. It's just started snowing and we need to go to the supermarket

Played in the garden this morning, haven't been outside all week!

Sitting and knitting next to dh listening to 6 music while having wine. dd1 is in her room drawing and dd2 is lounging sofa on her phone.

Dinner is going to be spicy bean stew with brown rice.

Blitzed the house etc yesterday so today could be a lazy day.
So after taking son to train station at 11.30am....he is away for the weekend I have come home and sat in front of fire /TV all day.
Tea this evening has been cheese on toast which my DH made.

I love snow. Whats the temperature?

Sitting on the sofa with my Cavapoo puppy and mum waiting for DH to get home so we can go out to the local Gastropub for dinner with his family. Oh... and it's my due date! No sign of baby yet though🤣

It’s been freezing here and had some snow this morning (Shropshire). We had to venture out to buy flooring for our loft conversion that is nearly done. It’s been freezing with the guys working on the roof we are all a bit tired and grumpy. DD12 full of cold. Food was ham rolls cucumber and toms. We also had a few freezer picky bits we shoved in the oven.
Fire lit now and everyone resting.

It's been raining all day so we've read books, done some puzzles and popped to the bakers for lunch. Then I had a nap while OH cooked sausages, roast potatoes, cauli cheese, carrots, Cabbage and Gravy. Will do bedtime with DS soon and then have a cup of tea and some chocolate!

Currently expressing while watching Suits. DH is playing rocket league (car football as I call it) with dd on the pc. DS is playing hide and seek with the dog (pulling his muslin up over his face, dropping it and giggling) DH got burgers out the freezer to defrost and then we're making burger pizza with DC.

Ds2 has football this morning then took him and his friend to the cinema this afternoon.

Ds1 has barely left his room today except to take the dog out...under much protest. He's 13 🙄.

Dh has been working.

Making chicken gyros with chips and salad for tea; then taking ds2's friend home and having 1 glass of wine with my tea when dh gets in from work.

We're up early tomorrow for remembrance parade so won't be late to bed although I never am to be be honest.

Rainy all day. Walked the reluctant dog a couple of times. Done loads of chores and a bit of work work.

Dinner was slow cooked bolognese, cooked double portions so lots for the freezer.

Mostly been moving things around the house so we can decorate.

Toast for tea as I'm not feeling well.

Just poured myself a glass of wine 🍷 and waiting for Strictly to start. Still full from large lunch but later it might be takeaway when DH gets home.

Second day in bed with migraine. DH just brought me up tea and toast before I disappear. I smell.

Ds1 and ds2 are on xbox. I'm drinking wine and mooching online. Dh cooking pizza and listening to pundits talking about football on the radio. He's cooking pizza and garlic bread and I'm having chicken salad with boiled potatoes because I'm on a diet.

DS and DD (14 and 23) are upstairs watching 'the new Aladdin' apparently. Curled up on DDs bed as she has come home for weekend. DH is watching Youtube videos on how to replace the clutch on his car (I think). We had a very late lunch (about 3pm) of curried lamb soup with crusty bread, and have also eaten quite a lot of pumpkin cake. No one wants tea, apparently. Or at least not yet.

Dogs are in front of the fire and I'm on MN, having had a bath and am already in PJs.

Watching Leicester v Arsenal in front of the fire with a mug of tea. It's chuffing freezing here. Tea was veggie "steak" with all the trimmings. We've been decorating most of the day so now it's well earned lazy time.

Watching seven seconds on Netflix and have just had homemade bbq chicken melt with wedges and salad.

Got a small bag of maltesers and a Diet Coke for the evening, first weekend of not drinking in a long time due to weddings and birthdays and I’m loving it! DP is out tonight and tried to get me to go with him but I declined instantly

I’m 12 days post major abdominal surgery and feeling miserable as my wound is very infected 😭
I’ve spent the day on the sofa watching tv while eating my body weight in chocolate and crisps
DH is about to order a pizza

I've had a lush day at home, took dogs for a long walk and had a massive tidy session. Had the grandkids to play, cooked DH a roast chicken to have with jacket potatoes baked in the oven, tenderstem broccoli, baby corn and carrots. I'm veggie so had some goats cheese on my potato. Just having a cup of tea now and watching Take Me Out with DH, while youngest DD is destroying the kitchen cooking pasta as she didn't want what we had........

Chinese takeaway from my favourite Chinese restaurant - yaaaay (good grub and NO COOKING!!)

DDs are in bed, DH is doing overtime. I'm watching Deck The Halls with DCat.

I really fancied a fish pie but didn't want to make one.

Sainsbury's only had one for 2, so I had that with broccoli and crusty bread and butter.
