Selling smelly shoes to fetish people?

ChocolateWillies · 07/11/2019 12:42

I didn't know where to put this so I put it in chat.

I've obviously namechanged.

A couple of weeks ago I posted something on Twitter about still wearing a pair of 20-year old shoes. Today a man (I assume) had DMed me. I looked into the account and the tweets are a bit seedy but not problematic. I think he's a 'submissive' and has a few interactions calling women 'mistress'. He also has a few others where he'll comment on a woman's post about shoes basically saying along the lines of 'I'll pay £50 for your shoes. Can I DM you'.

I'm hard-up ATM, I could do with extra cash.

You know where this is going....

Has anyone had experience of selling their old shoes to people with a fetish? I've read a couple of articles but I could do with a conversation about this. I remember a thread a few years ago on this but I can't find it now.

I could really do with the money from this but feel a bit weird.

Sell them. I would 😅

coffeecow · 07/11/2019 12:52

I would, as long as I never had to speak to him again!!

Mammylamb · 07/11/2019 12:53

I did. But didn’t get offered £50. I’d take it

Sleepyquest · 07/11/2019 12:54

Yeah go for it!! Men are strange

AmIThough · 07/11/2019 12:55

Don't sell them if you still wear them because surely you'd have to replace them.

Accept £50+the cost of a replacement Grin

ChocolateWillies · 07/11/2019 12:56

Oh no, I wouldn't sell the ones I'm still wearing. I'd say to him 'You can't have those but I've got others.....'

RubbingHimSourly · 07/11/2019 13:02

God I would, I could make a fortune doing this. Grin

AmIThough · 07/11/2019 13:02

Oh do it then
But don't make a habit of it because you'll have to start completing the worlds weirdest tax return Grin

Sohololopopo · 07/11/2019 13:04

I don’t know but ask if he wants mine because my gym ones STINK! Ha!

ChocolateWillies · 07/11/2019 13:04

I did it a few years back when I was skint. Be prepared for lots of messages asking for pictures of you treading on things on the shoes. I never sent any extra photos!

LivingDeadGirlUK · 07/11/2019 13:05

I'm selling some shoes on ebay at the moment that are a buy it now,. I keep getting a message from some perve asking me about what I've been doing in the shoes etc. I'm only listed them for a fiver though so I've been ignoring him XD

December2019 · 07/11/2019 13:06

One of my friends used to keep pet rats and she would buy underwear and put them in the cage and sell them for a fortune to weird underwear sniffers online 😂 it's horrible but I couldn't help think about these seedy men/women sniffing rat piss jerking the gerkin! 🤢
One week she made well over £800
I think she would buy shoes from charity shops and sell them on too... and also she had this one man who would pay her to send him pictures of her feet

moanyhole · 07/11/2019 13:06

Why not? If DH could sell some of his we'd have Christmas sorted🤔

ChocolateWillies · 07/11/2019 13:06

@LivingDeadGirlUK You should ask him to give you £50 then send some elaborate sci-fi esque story about all your escapades in the shoes Grin

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 07/11/2019 13:10

Ha

Sell them to him . I so would .

zen1 · 07/11/2019 13:11

Not me, but a friend listed an old pair of Uggs on eBay and described them in all innocence as ‘well-worn’ (BIG mistake!). That phrase turned out to be a calling card for all manor of foot fetishists and she sold them for a mint, even though they were falling apart. People also asked her for extra photos of her wearing them, but she declined!

theoriginaltms · 07/11/2019 13:13

Omg I am so getting in on this😂

Selling smelly shoes to fetish people?
MissLadyM · 07/11/2019 13:16

Do it! Get cheap pairs from Primark and start a little goldmine!

Saltnpepper5 · 07/11/2019 13:18

Wow. Who'd have thought smelly shoes could make this much money.
All the shoes I have thrown away! Just money wasted.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 07/11/2019 13:18

My friend made a killing doing this for a while. She stopped two years ago because the men didn't just buy anymore - she kept it quite impersonal and used to just list on social media and eBay, but make between £30 and £90 a pair. She started buying cheap shoes from Primark, wearing them for days at a time for maximum damage and smell and then selling those.

She stopped because she said more and more men expected "Extras" to get up to the price they used to bid - links to cam rooms, sexy photos, that type of thing. A few just wanted photos of her legs and feet in the shoes which I think she did, but anything more creeped her out so she stopped.

Be mindful of what you are agreeing to, remember that it's against terms on most sites so if you get reported, you could lose the account, and decide where your boundaries lie early on. Come to think of it, remember your profit margin, too!

theoriginaltms · 07/11/2019 13:18

I'm actually shocked I sell a lot on eBay never even considered this I always throw them away. Not anymore Grin

Solihooley · 07/11/2019 13:20

December2019 Shock. I’m staggered. £800?! I wonder which website you sell through. Was the idea that people though they were smelling human wee or did they know it was rats? I’ve always wondered why people bother to put such knackered old shoes on eBay, now I know!
