Is there already a thread about the instamum dramas involving MoD today?

Well the defence to slander (lol, who is she, Meghan Markle?) is the truth. So she’s get laughed out of court if it ever got that far. Super easy to check an IP address.

ChristmasComeEarly · 06/11/2019 23:51

No way!

BanKittenHeels · 07/11/2019 01:23
Shock

As a HCP, this would fuck my career - what a risk to take.

Honestly. As shitty and childish as it was to do, it'll blow over. She's got nearly 700k followers. She's over the critical mass where a storm on gossip site or mumsnet can harm her. She may have to adjust her positioning as the part of the Instamum gang ie. the whole sisterhood bollocks may have to go. She's big enough with FOD to just do it on her own. Let's face it. People are not following her for her midwifery or "sisterhood" anymore. It's all about the pretty and aspirational farrow and ball lifestyle. Her engagement may fall for a bit (and she had lost some followers but we are talking 0's not 000').

Depressing as that is: it's social media. Integrity is not valued at that follower count because in order to get to that level of following you had to ditch it along the way.

And that's why hungermama was told to shut up by others. Rocking that apple cart doesn't serve any of them.

MarshaBradyo · 07/11/2019 07:23

I’m sure it will blow over in no time. For each person who stops following another will hear about it and follow. And many love a drama and will stick around.

Anyway good work on reducing spotlight on dc hopefully others will follow that lead

Skyejuly · 07/11/2019 07:33

I think she actually believes she is invincible.

Jellybean100 · 07/11/2019 08:01

Yep I’d be seriously worried about my midwifery career in this situation

ziggiestardust · 07/11/2019 08:09

killjoysdutch thank you, you’re doing the Lord’s work. 🙏

I don’t think this will impact MOD at all. She’ll stay quiet on SM for a week or so and then jump back in and not acknowledge it. People have a short memory and this won’t even register in a few days. She’ll probably even gain followers from it through people hearing about this and being nosy! It’s a shame but it’s the way it is. People love drama.

babysnowman · 07/11/2019 08:35

Are MOD and CT not the same person? I'm confused!

hopeishere · 07/11/2019 08:37

Clemmie Hooper - MOD
Clemmie Telford - CT

Doubleraspberry · 07/11/2019 08:53

MC = middle class and multiple Clemmies

I know some of the people involved in this very very slightly, and the whole thing is depressingly like watching a year 9 fall out. I’m surprised Whatsapp hasn’t collapsed under the weight.

Powergower · 07/11/2019 09:07

There will be zero come back from this. She's done worse, really despicable things including bullying and harassment, and her following has only increased. She is at the top of the pyramid scheme and they all know that if she falls they all fall. They'll close ranks quickly and start posting about learning lessons, being kind, forgiveness, mental health etc and all will be right in the world of follower- exploitation and selling your child for a free vintage toilet chain.

nowifi · 07/11/2019 09:10

I agree whoever mentioned the unmumsy mum she seems the only one with a level of integrity!

I actually feel a bit perplexed by MOD, she has those 4 beautiful girls and clearly a few pounds in the bank, has a very respectable job but if this is true then she must be deeply unhappy in some way. Like who would have the time to do all that and why would you want to? It's all very confusing.

AppleHEAD · 07/11/2019 09:25

I don’t think anything will come of it. The fact that only the instagrammers with smaller follower numbers have really commented says an awful lot. They are all worried about their ‘brands.’ I’m not convinced she will be able to say much about being kind from now on.

floatygoat · 07/11/2019 09:27

It's all so toxic. I don't envy any of them, they're all so wrapped up in the viper nest of bullshit, I wouldn't swap my life for that no matter how "pretty" MODs flash big house is. She's clearly deeply, deeply insecure and so are the rest of them.

RexDangerVest · 07/11/2019 09:37

I agree @floatygoat i would absolutely hate it. Trying to make everything pretty and funny and relatable all the time must be exhausting! No amount of free stuff would tempt me to be an insta mum.

MarshaBradyo · 07/11/2019 09:39

On one hand it probably seems easy post a few pics (esp if it’s of your unwitting dc, easy peasy) earn money - on the other hellish. A big lot of fake scrabbling women trying to climb the pole.
There was a similar thing with the awful ‘Byron Bay lot’.

No thanks

RightEarlobeBreath · 07/11/2019 09:40

I think I’ve missed something reading the thread but why would the insta drama affect her midwifery career? Genuine question not a sarcastic one!

Skyejuly · 07/11/2019 09:41

I think she is laying low then will come back with either complete ignorance on the subject or somehow turn it around to her. If she wasnt guilty wouldn't she have defended this immediately?

floatygoat · 07/11/2019 09:41

All so hollow and empty. I honestly pity them.

hopeishere · 07/11/2019 09:52

It's so predictable.

SpiderCharlotte · 07/11/2019 09:55

There will be zero come back from this. She's done worse, really despicable things including bullying and harassment, and her following has only increased.

I fear you're right but why on earth would anyone want to follow someone like this? Someone who you know is deceitful, unkind, devious and altogether unpleasant?

She must be seriously odd and her simpering husband too. What a way to live your life.

Skyejuly · 07/11/2019 10:00

People just love the follow because they love drama. Her silence speaks volumes.

MarshaBradyo · 07/11/2019 10:03

Most follow and comment because they want in on the same act so it’s all helping them too.
Others because it’s a bit of fun and extra drama.

IDontDrinkTea · 07/11/2019 10:05

I think I’ve missed something reading the thread but why would the insta drama affect her midwifery career? Genuine question not a sarcastic one!

Not a silly question at all. I am a midwife and Im not entirely sure.

I would guess it’s because it doesn’t comply with the NMC guidance about using social media responsibly. It says you should protect your professionalism and your reputation online and you shouldn’t incite hatred.

Equally though in essence it’s a woman who’s posted some mean things about her mates anonymously online. It’s not very nice, but it doesn’t particularly mean she’s a bad midwife because of it
