Is there already a thread about the instamum dramas involving MoD today?

What does she say about her husband?

She called him a class a twat Hmm

undecided2 · 08/11/2019 06:50

Never trusted her, how off

vjg13 · 08/11/2019 07:11

FOD must have been aware she was doing this as well. It's very odd behaviour.

Cash Carraway’s book Skint Estate is fantastic. Whatever her reasons for coming off Instagram, Twitter makes sense for her. Of all the things Alice has been found to have said it’s the clear racism and classism that are most shocking to me. Comments about the way CC talks mean she won’t last long on Twitter totally prove Cash’s point that if you don’t talk like an Etonian you aren’t welcome in politics (or instamum circles).

I’m mortified for MOD and I hope she closes down Instagram and focuses on her family. I’d like to see her learn from this but her apology lies about why she started so I’m not sure that will happen.

I feel sorry for her but more sorry for those whose voices she has tried to silence.

OopsUditAgain · 08/11/2019 07:21

At this point, it wouldn’t surprise me if FoD had his own account on Tattle 👀🙊

tempnamechange98765 · 08/11/2019 07:22

Following!

Haven't RTFT yet sorry but a couple of insta accounts confirmed it was MoD - one is Alabamalola and another was Mumofmadlads. This was a couple of days ago though so their stories have disappeared.

As an aside, I'd never looked on Tattle before this - just did and I have to admit it did make me a bit sad, that some people have nothing better to do than endlessly slag off people they've never met.

MynameisJune · 08/11/2019 07:25

She’s lost 2.5-3k followers, most of her 673k followers will not even know what happened. There’s no way she’ll close her account down it’s too lucrative and she’s in too deep.

OopsUditAgain · 08/11/2019 07:26

It’s a strange phenomenon isn’t it? The rise of the influencer. They invite you to share in their lives, show you their personal photo albums and then get upset when people feel invested enough to gossip about them. Investment in them is what sells stuff. They encourage hundreds of thousands of people to follow them and then get outraged when a tiny proportion of those followers criticise what they see. Anyone with any sense could see that opening up their lives like this would not be a good idea in the long run.

Curtainly · 08/11/2019 07:28

I really don't get insta parents, beyond the freebies I guess, but the cost is putting your children and your life online for all to see, weird. Her behaviour doesn't reflect well as a MW really either, I believe you shouldn't be defined by your profession, but she puts it out there all of the time.

vjg13 · 08/11/2019 07:32

Is MOD still an NHS midwife though, not just an Instamum?

Sagradafamiliar · 08/11/2019 07:34

She went mad when I said FOD is a cringeworthy plonker on here and yet there she is slagging him off and her own friends to big herself up when she was already living a wildly privileged lifestyle.
I think she'll come out of it ok though- she always does. Her true colours have come out time and again so I've concluded that her followers think the same way.

soolar · 08/11/2019 07:35

I think it's the isolation from the other instamums that will hurt her though, it's kind of like pyramid selling in that they all promote eachother, attend eachother's rubbish events, like/comment on each others photos etc. If she's frozen out of that clique it will be hard for her.

I just don't get why she did this in the first place. When you have 600k followers telling you how amazing you are & the associated £££ & freebies why try & change 100 people's opinion of you on a forum & why try to change it by putting others down? It's almost like she despises the whole insta fame thing & sees herself above it all but at the same time is completely sucked in, driven by what greed? fame?

I reckon FOD will claim to be unaware, discuss pressures & pitfalls of social media & continue with the "brand".

bakedtattie23 · 08/11/2019 07:44

@OopsUditAgain I agree. It's pretty obvious that if you become well-known people will gossip about you.

FWIW I don't think what's said on tattle is that bad either, from what I've seen. The occasional unecessary personal comment yes but mostly people calling bullshit where it's due.

happymrsc · 08/11/2019 07:47

I've been following this with interest the past couple of days. Think her 'apology' is total crap and just panicking to get an excuse out there, though I can definitely understand the element of becoming sucked in. I'd be genuinely fearful re the NMC if I were her, I've seen people struck off for less.

Littlepeak34 · 08/11/2019 07:49

I’m so confused. Susie verrill is posting ashy things about people on a thread under the cover of someone else?

I follow her on Instagram and she just put out a big message on her stories which indicate the culprit is someone else???

So confused.

morningdread · 08/11/2019 07:51

How can she defend herself for posting that CB is aggressive & uses her race but then happy to have her at an event etc or call MP a 2nd rate Zoe Ball? She's clearly not a nice person.

PeterRouseTheFleshofMankind · 08/11/2019 07:55

Exactly.

No more attending events hosted by 'this absolute megababe', no more 'reaching out', no more posing next to another top tier Instagrammer wearing a 'be kind always' sweatshirt.

MarshaBradyo · 08/11/2019 07:58

It’s got a bit full on in the comments on the account. Won’t be able to sweep that away, I don’t think.

There was that poster on here that would go on about how she liked Mod’s jewellery collection etc and defended but denied being or knowing, I’m wondering if that was not quite so subtle but of PR too

morningdread · 08/11/2019 08:01

Yes I think the freezing out by the other influencers will be more hurtful. Clearly some didn't like her but played the game however now they have the ammunition.

MarshaBradyo · 08/11/2019 08:02

True about pyramid scheme and other influencers

Belty · 08/11/2019 08:04

The problem is that she didn’t join Tattle to defend herself, she joined to gaslight and bully a poor single mum fleeing domestic abuse. She was slagging off CC long before there was even a MoD thread so her apology is a lie.

The racism toward CB is unforgivable.

Sagradafamiliar · 08/11/2019 08:05

She's on here all the time, it wouldn't surprise me if she did a bit of obvious not obvious PR here on here as well!

OopsUditAgain · 08/11/2019 08:09

I don't really think some of the things she has said are too bad. It is possible to both like someone and have negative thoughts about aspects of their characters too. I also have acquaintances that I like and I'm friendly with but also think they are slightly greasy social climbers, I just probably wouldn't commit those thoughts to the internet where they could be found Grin and my USP isn't built upon trust and being the bestest friend to lots of other women.

I think the comments she made about Candice Brathwaite may come back to bite more than some of the slightly bitchy comments about some of her peers.
