Do you take your engagement/wedding ring off to wash?

Do you leave them on constantly, or take them off to shower/wash hands?

Never take mine off

Keep them on.

Only wear mine on leaving the house on non work days!!. Straight off when I get home.

Always take mine off when I wash my hands, can't stand the feeling of wet under there... Also scared of them blowing off and into the hole in the base of the hand dryers at work. I also take them off before bed, and put them back on when I get out of the shower in the morning.

Only take mine off when I’m fake tanning, or cooking something that involves my hand being covered in ingredients.

Take mine off when cooking with something that might get all over my hands, moisturising or swimming.

Take them off at home when washing hands or in bath/shower. Didn’t used to at work as I was scared of losing them but I got a rash from soap and water being trapped so I don’t wear them for work now.

Both engagement and wedding ring on when leaving the house, off when I get in. (That said, they don’t fit post partum )

Take mine off before showing and goes back on after hair and make up is done everyday.

Also just made meatballs so both came off for that too.

DH never takes his off, he also doesn't Have long hair, doesn't wear make up and in not sure he can make meat balls either..

Never worn either, been married 46 years

I hardly ever wear mine, probably around 10 days a year, but when I do I generally wash my hands with them on, dry my hands and then pull them down my finger a bit and dry the ring part of my finger. If I'm going to be doing something messy then I put them away first.

My wedding ring only comes off to put hand cream on.

Engagement ring comes off for all hand washing/fixing hair/anything I suspect may cause it to catch during the day, and as soon as I get in the house it comes off until I leave again.

Only take my engagement ring off for:
Washing up
Massaging my baby
Anything messy e.g. shaping mince meat into burgers, making pastry

I leave it on for everything else including showering, hand washing and sleeping. I love wearing it and hate taking it off!

I really only wear mine when I leave the house.

My weddìng ring never comes off.

My engagement and 'eternity' rings (yes, plural) come off for gardening, long hikes, messy cooking.

But are on most of the time. Mine are silver however, not white gold like most people assume, as I'm allergic to the nickel in white gold, so never have any rashes or problems.

I only take them off for things like making meatballs or kneading dough, they can stay on for weeks on end. I don't dry under them either and never had a rash. My engagement ring is a very flat setting and doesn't catch on things.

I leave my wedding ring on at all times but take engagement ring off for washing up, baking etc.

Mine are taken off as soon as I get in the house.

I take my ring off every time I wash my hands and have a ring holder by the sink for this :) I'd die if it went down the plug hole!

I keep mine on for hand washing as I figure if my hands are dirty then that applies to the rings too. I don’t wear my engagement ring at home though, it’s high set and tends to catch on stuff.

Only wear wedding ring daily. Engagement ring when I go somewhere nice.

Take it off to sleep, but it's a tall ring so scratches me as i sleep on my hand. I also take it off to shower and wash the dishes.
Actually I don't wear it around the house thinking about it.

Haven't taken mine off once in 15 years.
