Celebrities that nobody seems to dislike

This will probably bring people out the woodwork to say they hate so and so celebrity but who are the ones that you never really hear a bad word said about them? My nomination is: Dolly Parton.

Haven't read the whole thread but Rylan Clark-Neal is meant to be super lovely and down to earth (friend worked with him)
I like Phillip Schofield

Nomorechickens · 21/10/2019 23:16

Joanna Lumley was pretty much responsible for the Garden Bridge fiasco which cost us £40m so not so lovely.
Heard nice things about Judi Dench and Paul Gambaccini.
DH hates Alan Titchmarsh and Stephen Fry (they are both quite annoying). And Terry Wogan.
Dermot O'Leary on his radio show comes across as ill-informed and not very bright

gingerbread88 · 21/10/2019 23:17

Oh and Lorraine Kelly, someone I know did some TV work with her and said she's really friendly and warm, genuinely nice person.

Jaxdeal · 21/10/2019 23:27

I can't bear Holly Willoughby, this usually makes me unpopular amongst friends and colleagues!

avamiah · 21/10/2019 23:33

Jaxdeal ,
I’m with you on that one.lol
It’s not that I can’t bare her but she is on every bloody show and how is anybody else going to get a break on tv as she’s in on everything and it’s getting boring now .

manicmij · 21/10/2019 23:35

Go with britnay on those.

SunnyUplandsOhNoTurnipSoup · 21/10/2019 23:43

What about Boris Johnson, he doesn't seem to have annoyed anyone, or Jacob Rees Mogg...
More seriously, Billy Connolly

SunnyUplandsOhNoTurnipSoup · 21/10/2019 23:44

John Peel

HollowTalk · 21/10/2019 23:46

Ugh, John Peel and his 15 year old girlfriend? He always gave me the creeps.

GabsAlot · 21/10/2019 23:50

But ginger was it the real lorraine or the fake persona she has to dodge tax

jetlaggedmummy · 21/10/2019 23:58

Can't believe not more people have mentioned Bill Nighy??? Have heard lovely stories about him, and how could you not like him?

Michael Buble is a sweetie, I guess he could be a tad irritating to some, but from first hand experience he is a lovely man.

Had to lol at Piers Morgan Grin but actually, in real life, very nice 👍

Twocoffees · 21/10/2019 23:58

😍 Huw 😍 Edwards 😍

IamHyouweegobshite · 22/10/2019 00:07

Joe pasquale is lovely, he lives close to me and we had his son, Joe Jr as a magic act for the kids at our wedding.

Love Kathy Burke, esp after her recent programme. Love Julie Walters, Tom Hanks (although worried something horrible will be unearthed) and love David Jason and John thaw.

Flairhead · 22/10/2019 00:21

Ronnie Barker
Ronnie Corbett
Eric Morecambe
Ernie Wise
Richard Whiteley (Of Countdown fame)

RIP all the above, but one that's still with us, Dick Van Dyke. Never read or heard anything bad about him and he's the star of two of my favourite films.

lottelupin · 22/10/2019 00:23

Brucie

SuckerForYou · 22/10/2019 00:46

I agree, Chris Hemsworth seems lovely, but I remember seeing an interview with Melissa McCarthy saying he is absurdly handsome, talented, he can sing and he's an all round nice guy. She jokingly said it made her furious. Being too perfect rubs people up the wrong way, I guess!

I absolutely love Giovanna & Tom Fletcher, they seem like such a nice couple and their kids are adorable! Also Jason Mamoa, he is so dreamy and the way he talks about his wife and children .. all the heart eyes!

reasonsforwaiting · 22/10/2019 01:29

Loved Victoria Wood
Julie Walters
Pointless presenters Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman
Showing my years, John Noakes, and of course, Shep

Wildthyme · 22/10/2019 01:30

I nominate Peter Capaldi. My son and i bumped into him when he was filming in Hull and my son (19, has autism) stood there flapping his arms and kept squeaking. Capaldi said "What's ye name hen, would ye like a selfie with the Doctor? Show it to all ye pals."

Put him at complete ease and took 10 minutes out of his day to make my son feel he was the most important person in the world. About a hundred pics taken and an autograph on the signature strip of my Super drug card Grin

Trudij123 · 22/10/2019 01:30

Oh god, Dick Van Dyke - yes yes yes!!

NowWhatUsernameShallIHave · 22/10/2019 03:39

Idris Elba

The lovely Barbara Windsor.

I knocked on her front door in London (long story) over 20 years ago. She answered and was absolutely lovely. She could quite easily could have told us complete strangers to bugger off but she gave me a signed photo. We had a nice chat, she was bloody brilliant.

ItsCharging · 22/10/2019 04:32

Chris Evans (Captain America) seems like such a nice guy. I would be gutted if someone said otherwise! (Plus he is ridiculously good looking!!)

Another I would be gutted to hear a bad word about is Noel Fitzpatrick. He seems so genuinely nice!

Oldbird69 · 22/10/2019 06:01

When my son was small we took him to see the Chuckle brothers at a local theatre. They spent ages afterwards signing autographs and having photos taken with the kids. They were really lovely.

Aljaz off strictly seems adorable.

Twooter · 22/10/2019 06:15

Greg Davies
Miles jupp
Taylor lautner

Not read the full thread, but I’m confident with all of these!
