How much chocolate do you eat in one sitting?

Just curious really. I’ve no problem finishing off a 100g bar. And no real issue with a 200g bar if I’m honest! Just wondering how gluttonous I am! (Obviously I am Blush)

I can always eat all of it !! No matter how big, I used to Leave a little personal size bar in the fridge and it would be there for weeks, now I seem to just inhale whatever is in the house BlushBlushBlush

Drogonssmile · 25/09/2019 19:43

As much as there is. That's why I can't have it in the house anymore! Same with alcohol. Really fun life I have!

MissLadyM · 25/09/2019 19:44

I haven't had chocolate for months but spied some Galaxy darker milk on Sunday and ate the whole 110g bar over the whole day. I couldn't have eaten mire without being sick! It's easier to overeat with m& ms, maltesers etc

DrCoconut · 25/09/2019 19:46

I remember at a group someone commenting on someone else's chocolate consumption (by invitation not being rude). She said "that's a lot of chocolate", I thought "it'd barely touch the sides on a stressful day" 😂. The chocolate in question was one of the bags you get at the cinema with twirl bites, little cubes of wispa etc.

I always plough through share bags wondering
(a) what do they mean by sharing?
(b) what do they mean by "reseal"?

I can easily polish off a 100g Lindt bar with hazelnuts. Or with chilli. I sometimes take two pieces at a time while cleaning up after dinner, it gets me through. I don't really indulge in other sweets though, so I think it's ok

DoctorAllcome · 25/09/2019 19:52

Yum chocolate with hazelnuts.
I eat chocolate covered espresso beans when I have a looming deadline at work. So much faster acting and delicious than coffee and without the need for a pee break.

swampytiggaa · 25/09/2019 19:52

Saturday I ate a chocolate orange. Monday I ate another one 🙂 no sharing in this house!

PickAChew · 25/09/2019 19:54

Very little. If I do have a piece, I spend a long time working out whether I even enjoyed it enough to have a second piece and risk hurling my guts up at 3am.

lljkk · 25/09/2019 20:05

Not a lot, actually. Best in small tastes.

Willweeverfindout · 25/09/2019 20:06

Ha! I’m of the ilk that if it’s in the house I’ll eat it. Whether picked at over the day, or in one sitting on the sofa. Try not to buy it for that reason. Yet often fail. Quick nip to the shop for cat food on the way home has landed 200g in the fridge. I don’t expect the kids will see any of it left by morning Blush

Just hoovered a 90g bar of G+B. Only stopped because it was gone.

horse4course · 25/09/2019 20:18

It's daft that they call them a family bar. Who on earth shares a huge chocolate bar with their kids? The manufacturers know they get scoffed.

EmmaC78 · 25/09/2019 20:23

I try not to have chocolate in the house as i would just scoff it all. I have been known to buy a sharing bag of giant buttons to last all weekend then end up eating the whole lot in the 5 minute car journey home from the supermarket.

Oly4 · 25/09/2019 20:25

A single serving of a chocolate bar or four to five squares of a big bar. I’m too weight conscious to eat more in one sitting

Putoutmoreflags · 25/09/2019 20:27

That Tony’s Chocolonely is very nice, can quite easily inhale an entire milk chocolate one. Once brought the salty one by accident; it was repulsive. I was devastated, I’d been looking forward to it all day.

doublebarrellednurse · 25/09/2019 20:27

Lactose intolerant and can still smash a 100g bar

pickletickled · 25/09/2019 20:28

It depends what.
M&M peanut - the whole bag
something with a high cocoa content - a few squares
1 normal size twix or snickers.
Ferrero rocher (however you spell it) could eat the whole box

feelingverylazytoday · 25/09/2019 20:31

One regular size bar. I would never buy a big bar just for myself. I did eat a box of chocolates in one go once (over a couple of hours) but I felt sick afterwards. Never again.

Nextphonewontbesamsung · 25/09/2019 20:32

4 squares of a large bar.

2 lindors or celebrations/heroes/quality street/chocs from a box.

Half a small bag of maltesters or minstrels.

I can take or leave it tbh.

MoodyBitch · 25/09/2019 20:33

I only eat Ritter or Milka chocolate.
I intend to only eat a couple of squares, but unfortunately I seem to suffer a serious case of hand to mouth once it's opened.

SerafinaPekkalasbroomstick · 25/09/2019 20:33

I have found my people.

I once ate 12 creme eggs (about 25 years ago, they used to be nice) as a dare. Felt fine.

PrincessMaryaBolkonskaya · 25/09/2019 20:33

How much I eat in one sitting depends on the size of the bar Grin

FusionChefGeoff · 25/09/2019 20:34

I don't think this is the thread for iameverybean

Last night DH and I split 2 grab bags and 2 x 100g bars no sweat.

He's my enabler though and has threatened a 'no chocolate' October so I'm hoping my own consumption will reduce too!

BoomZahramay · 25/09/2019 20:38

Ah, there's something incredibly satisfying about eating chocolate until you feel sick...
