Does anyone have anything good to say about Tui?

Wanting to book a Florida holiday for 2020 and the Tui package deals are coming up very reasonably priced. They have direct flights to Sanford which is appealing since many of the affordable flights to Orlando Int are indirect.

The trustpilot reviews for Tui are pretty bad though, has anyone used Tui recently and had a positive experience?

I've used TUI lots of times and have booked with them for next year.

In 2018, we went on three package holidays all booked through TUI to Mauritius, Lanzarote and Rhodes. We had good flights that were on time and had lovely helpful crews. The hotels we stayed in were fine and the TUI reps dealt with any queries promptly. We experienced a cyclone during our holiday in Mauritius and were kept up to date with weather forecasts and felt completely safe throughout, our excursions had to be cancelled but we were refunded straight away.

Personally wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. What is it specifically that you're concerned about?

isntshelovely11 · 22/09/2019 20:22

Always booked my holidays with them and never had a bad experience

OctopusNow · 22/09/2019 20:26

Yes, we've used them twice and they've been great. We are complicated, disabilities etc. so a proper travel agent rather than just online is a must.
I'd recommend them and plan to use them again when we can afford a holiday.

voxnihili · 22/09/2019 20:32

We've booked every year with them for about 7 years and usually stay in one of their own hotels. We've always had brilliant holidays, but usually stick to the sensimar and platinum hotels.

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 22/09/2019 20:34

We always use them too and never had any problems.

HurtleTurtle30 · 22/09/2019 20:38

Used them 3 times in the last year and they’ve been brilliant. No significant delays, great transfers and hotels. I always look to them first now when looking for a holiday.

partysong · 22/09/2019 20:47

Check who the actual flight is with. I've found TUI flights great but theyve taken to outsourcing to shitty company's with poor safety ratings

36degrees · 22/09/2019 20:47

Used them a few times, had two quite poor experiences with delayed/cancelled flights and another with overbooked accommodation when they were Thomson. We've also had three or four really good experiences with them as TUI in the last few years though.

mum11970 · 22/09/2019 20:49

We’ve been with Tui a few times and never had a problem.

carlywurly · 22/09/2019 20:50

We've used them loads. Recommend platinum, sensimar or blue though. Unless you have very small dcs I'd avoid the family life ones like the plague.

mama3bear · 22/09/2019 20:54

Never had any problems with TUI.

Theimpossiblegirl · 22/09/2019 20:58

Never had a problem with them. Just going they can meet demand if TC go under.

NemoIsLost · 22/09/2019 21:44

Always use TUI never had a problem. usually go Platinum.
Like a pp said, look at the airline as they do outsource.

BilboBercow · 22/09/2019 21:51

I have a good thing to say about them.

They're not about to go bust.

Ginfordinner · 22/09/2019 22:15

We have had some fabulous holidays with them.
The last time we holidayed with them our flight home was delayed by several hours. They kept us informed regularly and gave us some meal vouchers. When we went down to the boarding gate the captain came out and stood on a chair and told us all that he had rub out of flying hours and couldn't fly us home that night. We were all bussed to hotels and stayed the night before flying home the following day - all paid for by Tui.

I thought that Tui handled it brilliantly.

The delay was caused by a bumble bee flying into the air speed indicator www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/live-holiday-flight-manchester-airport-16292385

Foslady · 22/09/2019 22:17

Never had an issue with them and the Reps have always been lovely.
I have a friend who is a rep for them and I know just how hard she works to make sure that her guests have a great time - really does go above and beyond

housewifeoflittleitaly · 22/09/2019 22:32

Fabulous, we’ve went many times with them. Holidays and cruises and the staff are amazing. We book it online and find it reasonably priced for 4/5*

han01uk · 22/09/2019 22:37

Went away with Tui last year and again this year. Perfectly straightforward no hassle and also not bothering us too much when we were away...although we knew they were there if we needed or should a problem arise.

I would book again with them.

Babdoc · 22/09/2019 22:38

I used them for years when they were Thomson - went all over Europe with the DC, on their package holidays. Always well organised, good quality hotels etc.
Have used them twice since taken over by Tui, and they were still just as good. Their day trips and tours from resorts had knowledgeable local guides and were good value.

Schwibble · 22/09/2019 22:39

I have very little good to say about them - but will leave that for another thread.

LemonySippet · 22/09/2019 22:40

Outstanding customer service from them. Recently had to cancel flights for which I stupidly didn't have insurance, but the reason for the cancellation was devastating. They put me on hold for approximately 5 seconds and came back to tell me I'd be having a full refund and I hadn't even asked, just presumed there was no chance. They were so kind.

RingtheBells · 22/09/2019 22:40

Always go with TUI and have a good holiday, we got stuck in Iceland one year because the airport was closed because of the snow and it was sorted out very smoothly and we just kept our rooms for the extra day

sproutsandparsnips · 22/09/2019 22:43

I speak as I find. Been on cruises with them and have had no problems in the main, and many examples of very good service.

FredaFox · 22/09/2019 22:47

I worked for them for ten years, friends still do. It’s a tough industry but they look after you. People’s expectations can sometimes be unobtainable nowadays I think.

SimpleAndPlanned · 22/09/2019 22:47

Our summer holiday this year was TUI and if it wasn't for Brexit we would have booked TUI again as soon as we were back. Excellent for families. Will very probably book next year with them.
