For me, I have some girlfriends coming around to my place for an afternoon tea and my place is a blimmin' mess and I can't fully clean it up in time. And I'm having one of those days where no outfit looks right and my hair is going to go frizzy no matter what. Ugh!

Vent away!

The df of a newish girl in ds's class shouted at ds at school this morning. Told him not to kick his dd. He did in retaliation of the big bruise she gave him on his shin.. Spoke to head teacher. She has already been told to stay away from 3 pupils.
On the first day!
Going to be a long school year I feel...

Not stressing me out now, but it was earlier this morning. Last week l rang my GPs surgery to make an appointment with 'my' GP. As usual she's booked up, and they had no appointments with her for over a month, but l was told that she has an 'open' surgery on Tuesdays, and to ring at 8am today, and l'd be able to see her.
Rang as instructed at 8am, only to be told that l could see a doctor today, but "as per practice policy" it might not be her. l explained what l'd been told last week, and that l'd requested this particular GP as she knows my history. And that if l saw someone else the appointment would take longer, as l'd have to go into it chapter and verse. The receptionist just kept repeating "you can't ask for a particular doctor, it's practice policy".
So l turned up at 9am, and then actually got to see the GP l wanted. l was in and out in 8 minutes, and during the discussion she actually remembered something relevant to my condition that l hadn't thought about. So seeing this particular doctor meant that l was dealt with very quickly, and didn't take up time unnecessarily.
l appreciate that this may be 'policy' but why tell patients to call on a specific day to request a specific doctor, then say they can't do that?

I ordered a game for the switch yesterday, that should be arriving today and its not arrived yet. 😭

SeaViewBliss · 03/09/2019 11:13

Two things

1 - DS is back to school tomorrow and I have just remembered that the new trousers we bought him a couple of weeks ago are too long and need taking up. I cannot sew.

2 - I have ordered a trilogy of books that I want to read before the TV series they are making of it comes out. I am worried I won't have time.

Builders knocking through into the garage. Dust sheeted the hallway, plastic’d off the stairs, sealed up the doors but know it’ll be disgusting when I get back from work.
And every room is cluttered beyond believe as holiday clothes have only just been ironed and no where in the bedroom to put them and all the hallway stuff is in the other rooms.
And dd starts 6th form tomorrow.....

That my curtain poles might not arrive before my baby is born

SecretWitch · 03/09/2019 12:30

I fell out of bed this morning. Now dealing with wrist and elbow pain. I feel so stupid.

moonpiggle · 03/09/2019 12:32

My garden. It needs weeding and sorting out big time.

MeganChips · 03/09/2019 12:32

Waiting for the results of a job interview. I had a 3rd interview for a post last week and I’m on tenterhooks.

GooodMythicalMorning · 03/09/2019 12:34

That the kids now both say they need sharpeners and colouring pencils in time for school tomorrow even though we went shopping yesterday Hmm Hope the corner shop has something!

Southmouth · 03/09/2019 12:38

My toddler who’s been up since 5am full of energy absolutely refusing to nap today or at just least have some quiet time!

amusedbush · 03/09/2019 13:23

EVERYTHING is stressing me out Grin

barniee · 03/09/2019 13:43

The expensive rug I ordered online looks horrendous.

ComeOnGordon · 03/09/2019 13:46

How stupidly difficult it is to get uni accommodation for dc who starts uni 4 weeks today. She somehow hasn’t heard back from halls & it’s becoming a nightmare to find a room. Got 6 to look at at the end of the week.
(Not in the UK before anyone tries to be kind and help me)

GoodwithRocksandGems · 03/09/2019 13:52

My apple tree has so many apples this year that the branches are starting to break. I’ve lost count of the amount of apples I’ve already prepped, cooked and frozen. But I can’t bear to waste them either. It’s stressing me out just looking at it 🙄 (have tried to give apples away but no one interested)....

TheCanyon · 03/09/2019 13:52

I've just accidentally poured pesto over the dc's school shirts Angry

Pipandmum · 03/09/2019 13:59

That despite telling headmaster, head of year, director of studies and form tutor PLUS the registrar last term that my son would not be returning to school this year they still tried to take term fees from my bank, which then informed me I was over my overdraft limit. I hadn’t cancelled the DD as I have another child and couldn’t figure out which one went for which child and figured the one that wasn’t used today I’d cancel.

EleanorReally · 03/09/2019 14:02

have a head ache
dd off to uni but tomorrow she is on holiday for a week.
we have No time! She is not even here, as per usual

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 03/09/2019 14:02

I have to get up at 5.30am tomorrow morning for a work trip to London, full day of meetings and then my boss has decided we're all going out for dinner and THEN another activity afterwards. Some might think it's a first world problem but I already know I'll be knackered through lack of sleep and then have 'enforced team fun' afterwards to deal with. It's already stressing me out.

HarrySnotter · 03/09/2019 14:07

Well I was fine until I just heard James Martin pronounce chipotle incorrectly on the telly just now. Now I'm a bit vexed.

HarrySnotter · 03/09/2019 14:09

@chocolatesaltyballs22 I think my first world problem trumps your first world problem, in terms of first worldness. 😂

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 03/09/2019 14:11

LOL he's from Yorkshire so you have to forgive him! Haha
