Please help, should I take him to hospital?

My neighbours have just knocked and told us that our 14yo son was unconscious on the ground outside our house - we rushed out and he's clearly been drinking HUGE amounts of alcohol Sad he's wet himself, he's now regained consciousness and vomited copiously, he can't stand unaided and he's barely able to talk. Is also being quite aggressive and wont let his dad bring him into the house. Not able to tell us how much he's had or what it was.

Obviously he's in shit so deep he'll probably never get out Angry but should we take him to hospital? DH wants to put him to bed (not sure how!) but I'm worried about choking on vomit and/or alcohol poisoning.

Apparently the neighbours saw two of his friends carry him up the drive, leave him on the ground and "sneak off", they didn't even knock to let us know Angry

Yes

Silvercatowner · 11/08/2019 19:31

I'm afraid I'd put him in the car and take him to A&E.

NoUsernamesILike · 11/08/2019 19:31

Yes I would due to him being unconscious at one point and not being able to stand/talk

Raylas · 11/08/2019 19:32

Yes hospital. He's so young. Hope he's ok.

sparklefarts · 11/08/2019 19:32

Yes

zackly · 11/08/2019 19:32

Yes, sorry.

cheeseismyspiritanimal · 11/08/2019 19:32

Yes definitely A&E, I think.

ClemDanFango · 11/08/2019 19:32

Yes a&e the amount of alcohol needed to get him in that state could be dangerous.

Lilyrose90 · 11/08/2019 19:32

I’d try and get some water and food down him if possible. If he’s going to sleep, I’d stay with him if I were you and keep an eye on him.

OctoberLovers · 11/08/2019 19:33

Yes. His 14 and was unconscious and you dont know what he has taken.

Survivingmy3yearold · 11/08/2019 19:33

Yes, I'd be straight on the way to the nearest a&e department. Hope he's ok

Teethlikepins · 11/08/2019 19:33

Oh God, yes I would take him

howdyalikemenow · 11/08/2019 19:33

I would. Alcohol poisoning isn't fun.

MigGril · 11/08/2019 19:34

Yes I'd take him to A&E as you are right to be concerned about alcohol poisoning at his age. Hopefully they will give him a right talking to as well.

TheGirlWhoLived · 11/08/2019 19:34

Yup, stomach pumped I’m thinking- but he could choke easily on vomit and you need to get him back hydrated

ScarlettDarling · 11/08/2019 19:34

Hospital straight away and then grounded for the rest of his life.

PeoniesarePink · 11/08/2019 19:35

One of DDs friends nearly died from alcohol poisoning at 16. Think of his liver and get him to A & E pronto.

Silvercatowner · 11/08/2019 19:35

Hope he's OK, OP. Good grief at his friends.

ScarlettDarling · 11/08/2019 19:35

And you don't know what else he's taken, it could be a lot more than alcohol. Get him checked out.

sittingonacornflake · 11/08/2019 19:35

God yes. Take him. You can't be too careful.

MrsKCastle · 11/08/2019 19:35

Yes, A&E.

AllFourOfThem · 11/08/2019 19:37

Yes, A&E and I wouldn’t rule out drug taking either.

Confusedandworried321 · 11/08/2019 19:38

Yes for sure, sorry OP. Hope he's ok.

orangeshoebox · 11/08/2019 19:38
