Saturday morning; what's everyone up to today?

I'm drinking my usual peaceful cup of tea, can barely hear the birds over the wind though :( but I can hear my two doors up neighbour.

I'm waiting for the Sky person to come and sort my Sky tv out. Both girls are sock on -they stayed up late, having a sleepover in dd1's room.

Later on we're off to 'X by the sea' at a local working men's club (unless it pees it down!), dd1's going to sleepover at Nanna's, and myself and dd2 will probably watch a film of her choosing with some sweets.

What about everyone else?

Were hibernating we keep talking about taking the dog out then snuggling back up in blankets got to admit the weather is so bad my thoughts have just gone to whisper Christmas

Just picked almonds off the tree, DP is going to make almond liqueur later today. Swapped some of our eggs for tomatoes and courgettes with a neighbour. Potential client arriving at 10 so off to scrub the horses now!

We started off the day TTC now DP has gone out to get us croissants for breakfast. Then we will do house work i.e. painting, sanding, etc...

Will finish the night off by watching a film on our new projector/home cinema! We've yet to test it out properly.

Ooo, almond liqueur sounds yum!! Is it easy to make?

I’m having a lie in while I can hear DH breaking up arguments downstairs. I need to get up and do some tidying and cleaning though as I’m running out of days at home before we have a big sort-of-housewarming party coming up. And the laundry needs doing. And I need to pack as the DC and I are away next week. And DH has a similar list of house jobs he wants to do so it will be a fairly mundane day here!

DD(6) and DS(3) will probably spend their day bickering and hopefully not getting in the way too much. 🤞

Horrific weather here today. Have so far been to the depot to get a parcel and dropped in to Aldi. Now on our way to a garden centre to have a browse. DS will love looking at the fish while we potter around. Then meeting friends for lunch.

I've just had my tea and porridge. We've had a busy week so trying to chill a bit today.

Plan is to clear the playroom and get rid of some baby / toddler toys. DD1 wants to come on my run on her bike at some point.

Then family games, late lunch of pork steaks and butter bean casserole and ice cream in front of a film.

I’ve instigated ‘No fun till the jobs are done’, meaning the kids are going round the house chanting that and probably creating more mess, while I’m sneaking in a cup of coffee before tackling a major pre-holiday tidy up. Multiple play dates last week without the necessary tidying at the end of each one (due to me being very keen to get rind if visitors each day).

I’m still in bed but trying to psyche myself up to get in the pool for a swim before Tesco delivery. Then me and my 16 year old son are making apple chilli chutney with the apples we picked off our tree a couple days ago.

Travelling home from sunny Majorca

I've got a horrible cough so feeling sorry for myself in bed. Dh gone to tesco to get me supplies.
We'll have breakfast when he's back then going to theatre in london this afternoon and out for dinner. Cough can sod off.

I’m staying with family & have been up since 6,30 as other family arrived after travelling all night so I gave them my bed.
Hopefully not much today as I have a 4,5 hour drive home tonight! It’s very windy here too.

Trying to evict my overdue baby today, lots of raspberry tea, chilli, and bouncing on the exercise ball. If anyone ha baby tips please send them my way!

Waiting for my washing machine to be delivered which now isn't expected until between 2 and 4. It's been five days without a washer now and we are running out of clothes. Grrr

Sitting on our wildly rocking boat thinking I feel sea sick and we're still tied up!

I'm being stupidly lazy. I've missed a 9 am spinHIIT class that I really wanted to go to but inertia took over...

Then packing up for a trip to see family; it's my dad's first anniversary this weekend and am just 💔

We are going to pick up samples of wedding cake to try. I’m not holding out high hopes though

Lying in the bath listening to the wind howling and wondering whether my tomato plants will survive. No plans apart from reading papers and doing food shop. Bliss!

Boys are up having breakfast. DD is still asleep and DH has just gone for his run.

Later sports clubs for the kids then packing - kids off to grandparents for a few days whilst DH and I head off for a few days by the sea just the two of us.

Working hard on the opening night of Les Miserables - The Staged Concert’ with Michael Ball, Carrie Hope Fletcher, Matt Lucas, Alfie Boe etc. It will all start getting frantic in an hour or so, and I may get a nice glass of champagne around midnight! If anyone reading is going - have a wonderful time. Rehearsals have been going on all week and it sounds wonderful.

Dh brought me tea in bed and has gone out.

Boys are still asleep.

Might make pancakes for breakfast.

Having a lazy morning and debating whether I really need to do a Tesco shop today.
Need to properly unpack and put our suitcases away - arrived from holiday earlier this week and have only washed used clothes. Then tidy the house before getting ready for our friends wedding later.

We're still in bed, planning what to do. We had planned a mooch round a local town, but the weather is putting us off. So it might be some housework and then hibernation with some films and a takeaway

Lazing with a mug of tea. Then a bit of shopping before my youngest and her boyfriend arrive for the night ready to celebrate her 21st tomorrow. Finish off birthday cake and wrap presents. Then we’re out to a friends with other friends for what was to be a garden supper but which is likely to be inside now.

Second coffee while some red velvet cupcakes bake in the oven that I'm making for a friends party later.
Sitting with my back to the piles of washing I brought down earlier trying to delay the inevitable. I've not done washing for days waiting for the weather to cheer up, really don't want to use the tumble dryer in August
