Do children still wear vests?

Not in this weather but in winter. My DGCa are pre-schoolers and just wear polo shirt then sweatshirt for school or a tee shirt and sweater out of school. I’m of the age where I was trussed up in a liberty bodice AND a vest under my school shirt. I’ve seen vests in the shops but are they still a ‘thing’?

Yes except in height of summer.

Mine do, 7 and 10 . Not in summer though and the 10 yr old has moved on to crop tops now.

I also wear vests - vest tops in Winer and strappy ones in the autumn / spring.

Yes, unless it’s extremely hot, DD4 wears a very soft cotton vest. I was brought up to wear vests so did it distinctly with DD, she went from bodysuits to vests. DD will scold DH if he dresses her and doesn’t get remember her vest.

Our (now grown up and out of our hair) DCs never had vests once they progressed beyond the poppered stage. School uniform polo plus sweat-shirt/cardigan always seemed more than enough layers in central-heated classrooms, not to mention the peer-pressure when changing for PE! I haven't worn a vest as underwear since I was six, following a big tantrum with Mum in M&S as we shopped for the new school year after a vest-less summer, and DH hasn't worn one since childhood either..

My DD does I'm winter, thermal ones. He has chronic lung disease though so we try and guard against cold damp weather.
