I'm very vexed about my Revels

Family bag - looking forward to it all day Far too many fucking raisins (I do not want fruit in my chocolate) and I've never met a human who likes the coffee ones.

I still can't quite get over them replacing the coconut and peanut ones with the above shite and have no idea why I still buy them. But they're Revels and I like a wee surprise now and again.

So tell me, what product do you still buy even if you don't think it's as good as it used to be?

The coffee ones are my favourite! It’s the bloody malteaser ones that disappoint me.

Revels, pah yuck! It's the Russian roulette of chocolate and I always end up with a disgusting coffee one any time I chance it!

I like the coffee, they are my favourites. I only find the toffee ones when I get a bag. I only want the coffee ones. I think you could buy them separately years ago. Poppets. I think.

I loved the coconut ones they were exotic.

A while back they replaced the hideous coffee revels with raspberry cream ones. They just weren't the same without that level of peril.

My DD bought a bag recently as we'd been reminiscing about them. There were too many raisins. But the biggest travesty was how the coffee ones didn't even taste of coffee!!! It was just some sugary claggy shite - we'd even eaten a couple before we worked out it was they by process of elimination.

@edamismadebackwards I'm going to hazzard a guess that you are much younger than me. They replaced them with minging coffee ones years ago, I still haven't forgiven them. I am holding a terrible grudge about this.

They just weren't the same without that level of peril.

Now I actually do understand this - I think the Russian roulette ones plays when eating a bag of Revels adds to the excitement!

I still eat Revels. I hate the coffee ones and have done since a very traumatic experience trying East German coffee chocolate in 1999 but I have a strange addiction to the orange ones.

I did like when they added solid chocolate ones but it is annoying when you can't tell if one is going to be orange or toffee.
After I have eaten them I tend to wonder why I did that but still far better than Cadburys now which is beyond redemption.

Oh and I hate ordering full sugar drinks to find out they aren't.

Tbh, I don't really want to be playing Russian Roulette when I sit down with a bag of chocolates - you should be able to choose the right ones to go in the bag in the first place.

I realised I was only excited to get the Malteser balls in a packet of revels so stopped buying revels and just buy maltesers now.

Coffee are the best. I mistakenly bought a bag of poppets thinking they were revels a while ago. Awful things!

Ha ha ha! I just ate a whole bag of Revels earlier and I love the coffee and raisin ones more than the rest! I'm not too bothered by the Malteser ones though. I hadn't realised the peanut ones were gone though now I think about it I can't recall eating one in a while. I liked them!

A bag containing just orange ones would be fantastic- just like the orange smarties.

We play Revels Roulette at Brownies if it's a party night. They make up a list of things they have to for each flavour (do 10 star jumps, tell a joke, run around the hall, etc)
