Obviously everyone is entitled to their own tastes, spend money how they like but...I’m genuinely shocked. I truly thought the days of spending a fortune on ostentatious tat was over.

Hope you fit the bag in. I once demanded my dh buy me a gigantic lv bag on his way to USA on a work trip. He saved the tax on it at the airport so he bought a purse as well.

He then realised the bag was hugeeee and the cabin crew had a right giggle at him and offered to store it in a separate part of the plane despite him having a whole bed etc on the plane. He said he felt like a right wally and won’t be buying any large bags again on work trips. Of course that’s the only reason 🤔

I’d love a Chanel small flap bag. A friend has one and she spent 2k 10 years ago and it’s now 3.4k for an identical one!

I have a Vuitton mini looping which was my first ‘designer’ bag back in 2002 I think. I’ve got it with me back in the room (pics later) and I paid what was a huge £285. It’s the same price second hand now so I dont feel too bad lol

Yes it was the tassel that ultimately was the deciding factor for me too. Just not quite right.

Enjoying this thread! I don't have a LV but did look in there today as want a new bag for my birthday. I already have a navy Disco and the red WOC and was going to get the black in the same WOC style but was persuaded to look at this too, and loved it!
Oh and I recommend npnbags as other posters did. I've bought & sold through Sian (the owner) and she's lovely. One thing I would say - whenever she posts a Chanel bag on Facebook & Instagram it sells literally within minutes! And she had s Gucci Marmont yesterday which sold just as quickly!! Definitely follow her on Facebook as by the time you look at her site the best will have already sold! ( She does have lots of Mulberry & others though)
As you can tell I LOVE my bags Grin

As much as people may knock spending money on a bag like that, they really do hold their value if you look after them. Better than a car!
