Just watching This Morning and Max Beesley is on there. Oh my, did I used to fancy him but blimey AFAIC he has not aged well. He just looks like some boring middle aged NDN now.

Daniel Day Lewis. Gorgeous then, gorgeous now

Jeff Goldblum. Handsome then and now.

Katie Price. Was so attractive when she started out. Not now

Russell Crowe. He had something about him Now just a jowly middle aged man.

Emma Thompson. Had no work done and looks far better now than she used to

My DH. I think he's more handsome than he used to be, he's grown into his grey hair and wrinkles, whereas I just look like a grey haired old woman

I don't believe that. Her face looks frozen.

John Travolta looks good without hair.

I am 54 and reasonably lean and fit
I have DEEP wrinkles between my eyebrows
I have crows feet about an inch long
I have significant wrinkles around my mouth
my lips are getting thinner
and my cheeks are heading south even when I grin

anybody (make or female) over 50 without those marks has had work done
simple
in the case of people like Grace Jones it will be a teeny bit of botox
in the case of Joan Collins it is so much that she always wears gloves to maintain the facade

Oooh, John Travolta without hair looks MUCH MUCH better

Hands and the neck are the giveaway for sure. (which is why I slather cream all over my neck and use handcream all the time, not that it's made any difference but maybe it'd be worse if I hadn't...)

Madonna being very sinewy has awful hands which is why she wears fingerless gloves.

John Travolta was in the wilderness for quite a few years with badly dyed hair, odd toupees and that spray on hair fibre stuff! Now he has embraced his natural hairlessness he looks great and much younger.

Thank you Happybunny1234 . I honestly started it in an innocent way and I was taken aback and totally perplexed TBH. (and I'm not ugly on the inside and full of hate!)

I would like to know what some of these celeb's secrets are apart from botox or having work done. I do think if you've got stylists bringing you clothes, instead of trawling round the shops trying to find something that fits suits, that makes a difference and I betcha a lot of them have those kind of people trotting round after them!

Dame Vera Lynn has always looked amazing and she’s about 100 now also Mary Berry which leads me to think I’m not eating cake.

I think if you’re a non smoker and a non drinker you stand a better chance of you’re skinn staying moreyouthful and then factor in good health
My mum , gran and the aunts always had nice skin...all in good health till they all got dementia ☹️😢..ie no cancer treatments or heavily medicated till their late 70s
I always think stunningly beautiful Brigitte Bardot didn’t age as well as I thought she might...but maybe she just was happy in her skin, enjoying the the sunshine and her animals
Sophia Loren, Gina lollobrigida and Raquel Welch on the other hand seem to have done well

Dame Vera Lynn has those apple type smooth cheeks like the Queen, wonderful.

Delatron - I was one of the posters who used the phrase "messed with their face." I wasn't using it to describe women who've had subtle work done like those you describe - I don't think they're ageing, just delaying the inevitable. I think women like Madonna have messed with their faces in that they've tried to obliterate any sign of ageing and end up looking odd - like Dolly Parton.

And I don't say that in judgement because I appreciate the internal and external pressure they face not to age.

J Lo (49) takes great care with her appearance, although I do think time is finally catching up.

Cate Blanchett (49). If you compare old photos to now, she's definitely had some Botox, but otherwise looks amazing.

Jennifer Aniston (50) looks lovely , IMO.

Gwyneth Paltrow seems focused on good skin care and looks like a healthy, natural woman for her age (46).

Sandra Bullock (54), Gwen Stefani (49), Melissa McCarthy (48), and Julia Roberts (51) all look good to me.

Not a fan of: Cindy Crawford, Brooke Shields, Lindsay Lohan.

Has Jennifer Garner (47) gone down the bad plastic surgery route? Her recent People magazine cover looks like some weird over-airbrushed version of herself.

Someone mentioned Mary Berry. She's a very nice looking woman but she absolutely looks her age!

I know she's no longer with us but it always used to amaze me how June Whitfield never seemed to age, I was watching Carry on film yesterday and she looked exactly the same in 1973 as she did in 2013.. She was timeless I think.
