Anyone else stupidly excited for Avengers Endgame?

Can't wait. 3 hrs just won't be long enough.

I'll be gutted if Hulk dies. I've a real soft spot for Mark Ruffalo and my ds2 has always had some sort of hulk-affinity.

I really hope that Tony doesn't die either because i think pepper probably IS pregnant and in many ways he's a bit of a tragic character.

Any theories? Who will rescue ant man from the quantum realm? Will Paul Rudd ever age? I've a soft spot for him too... And hemsworth... And Sebastian Stan.

Am buzzing for this. But going to be hard to stay out of the way of spoilers. Between this, GoT and Line of Duty I'm spoilt for choice.

MummBraTheEverLeaking · 24/04/2019 16:07

Seeing it tomorrow night (that's when the grandparents can babysit, and at least I don't have to wait for a parent and baby screening like infinity war last year!). Super excited, we've been watching them all again, in fact I have Infinity War on now!

I wondered about geeking out and wearing my Avengers dress, however there's always dickheads out there and someone is bound to start shouting spoilers at me just to be a twat. Have avoided spoilers, but the reviews all look amazing.

Ds is still on school holidays so he and a friend are going tomorrow morning.

Poor dd went back to school today so she has to wait until Saturday. (and she works Sat morning too)

Comefromaway · 24/04/2019 16:09

I've not actually seen Infinity War!

CaptainMarVell · 24/04/2019 16:28

I want to see spoilers but I don't want to see spoilers! 48 hours from now I'll be watching it - I can hardly wait!!

Jb291 · 24/04/2019 16:30

Tickets booked for Friday night. I'm ridiculously excited. It is keeping
Me going through this week

I am excited but have no idea when we're going to watch it as we don't have babysitters on hand. Might convince DH that we should pay for a babysitter for the first time ever so we can see it soon.

I also think Steve will die, probably Nat as well. Maybe Banner. Hopefully not Thor (I'd love another Waititi Thor film). And if Pepper is pregnant then I hope Tony doesn't die but kill him off if she isn't, please and thank you.

DeathMetalMum · 25/04/2019 07:25

I watched it last night and loved it. No spoilers but really did do the film justice (no surprises really). Have to admit I cried for about 3/4 of the film. Very excited for everyone watching over the next week or so I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did. Hoping I can squeeze in another time to watch it in the cinema.

NeverTalksToStrangers · 25/04/2019 08:00

9 hours to go for me.
Omg why is everyone crying so much? Shock
I don't really want to know. I'm so excited. Like a child.

@DeathMetalMum it’s amazing isn’t it, a seriously quality film that surely has to be nominated for the ‘technical’ Oscars (costuming, score etc).

I saw it yesterday (Wednesday) morning at the first Australian showing. I’ve never seen so many people at an 8am show, it was sold out.

We loved it so much were going again tomorrow morning so we can take it all in as I’m sure there are small details we missed.

NeverTalksToStrangers · 25/04/2019 08:30

I've heard Oscar talk already. One report in read compared it to The Return of the King, which got 11. Films don't tend to sweep the boards any more, but it's certainly time the great big blockbusters are acknowledged properly.

Whilst I don't begrudge Black Panther getting nominated (I loved it and so many Oscar nominated movies are unwatchable), Infinity War was much better IMO.

It’s fantastic (no spoilers I promise) - the score is so well done, it builds the anticipation for the dramatic moments, adds depth and ooomph to the action scenes and doesn’t overwhelm the emotional scenes (you’ll feel every emotion possible).

The costuming is wonderful, every little detail is perfect - not sure if it was the same costume designer as for Black Panther but it’s quality work.

Every line, every scene, every characteristic, everything that’s shown/seen/heard is spot on. It really shows just how comfortable the actors are in the characters as none of them appear to be acting, it like they really are those characters.

MrsFassy · 25/04/2019 09:01

I'm just getting ready to go and watch it now, I'm ridiculously excited.

Catsandbootsandbootsandcats · 25/04/2019 09:21

I went to the midnight showing and currently feel like a zombie! Grin

OMG, it was amazing. But I don't think I've ever cried so much during one film. There were lots of laughs too.

I will definitely have to watch it again, but at a more reasonable hour, to pick up on bits which I no doubt missed.

MsMarvellous · 25/04/2019 16:39

I'm all set for tomorrow morning. Can't wait! How long are we embargoing until a spoiler thread Grin

Jb291 · 25/04/2019 17:26

Just over 24 hours to go for me. Avoiding all spoilers. Getting through tomorrow at work will be hell but this as the reward at the end will keep me sane

CarolDanvers · 25/04/2019 20:39

Saw it today. It was perfect and I balled my eyes out.

Jb291 · 25/04/2019 21:35

@CarolDanvers Oh no is it that bad? Okay I need to make sure I bring tissues. Is this really going to hurt ? I'm going to be a bawling wreck tomorrow night x

NeverTalksToStrangers · 25/04/2019 21:55

Omg that was so good. So many lovely touches and unexpected things. Just wow.

OP posts:
NeverTalksToStrangers · 25/04/2019 21:56

And yes, bring tissues.

OP posts:
Jb291 · 25/04/2019 22:10

@NeverTalksToStrangers Thank you I will be bringing tissues. I'm actually really excited for this. Every single review I've read has said how amazing it is and how emotional,

NeverTalksToStrangers · 25/04/2019 22:18

I totally need to see it again...

MsMarvellous · 26/04/2019 07:32
