Anyone else stupidly excited for Avengers Endgame?

Can't wait. 3 hrs just won't be long enough.

I'll be gutted if Hulk dies. I've a real soft spot for Mark Ruffalo and my ds2 has always had some sort of hulk-affinity.

I really hope that Tony doesn't die either because i think pepper probably IS pregnant and in many ways he's a bit of a tragic character.

Any theories? Who will rescue ant man from the quantum realm? Will Paul Rudd ever age? I've a soft spot for him too... And hemsworth... And Sebastian Stan.

Carol I somehow missed your post re westfield. Please do keep me posted. Flowers

Also I'm above should be UK.

Has Rudd had work done or is it just remarkable genes and moisturising?

Yes sneaky, that's them in order of release. You should probably get stuck in now..
On the very plus side, they are mostly great films with loads of humour. Ultron and dark world are the poorest. Civil war, fab. Ant man so unexpectedly good. Infinity war was just Shock.

Me! Late adopters here but now counting down - have gone for a 6pm showing on the Thursday so we only have a day of avoiding spoilers.

Captain Marvel was bloody amazing. As long as she's OK, and Nick Fury. And Spider-Man. And Thor. And and and..

I'm late to the party having only really got into it since infinity war. Although all the films have been on a loop in our house for many years. Totally loved Captain Marvel. Have tickets for the Friday night already booked.

So bloody excited!!!!!!

ARDuke · 14/04/2019 19:11

Very excited about it. The ending of Infinity War really leaves them with a lot of ground to cover but Endgame is apparently 3 hours long.

hazeyjane · 14/04/2019 19:12

Stupidly excited here. Just saw Shazam and whole family were squealing at the trailer for endgame.

Just to get everyone excited....what about the Disney streaming service coming out next year, with shows based around Loki, Scarlet Witch and Falcon confirmed and rumours of a Hawkeye series too (hope he gets to keep his mighty fine mohawk!)

hazeyjane · 14/04/2019 19:14

...oh and a Winter Soldier series too.

I may never leave the house.

Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople · 14/04/2019 19:20

Absolutely can't wait for this! I keep a days annual leave aside just to use for it! I have booked back to back showings of Infinity War and Endgame for the 24th at 9pm so we will see Endgame just gone 12am!! I reckon 2 out of the main 6 will go and I am clingy to the hope that Cap dying is a red herring and possibly too obvious...I'm probably wrong though!

NeverTalksToStrangers · 15/04/2019 22:15

Cap dying could absolutely be a red herring because they've almost been hinting at it. Sebastian Stan has even mentioned taking over the role and there isn't the same publicity of him putting his foot in it like Tom Holland or Mark Ruffalo . It could well be lies that a black widow movie is in the pipeline and she could be out? As with the general consensus that gamora is taking over the GOG.

I CAN'T TAKE THE SUSPENSE Grin

Cherrysoup · 15/04/2019 23:08

Will there be an intermission? Three hours long? Blow me, that's ridiculous!

LokiLocks · 16/04/2019 00:44

Yes, I have my ticket booked for the midnight showing and am extremely excited. I think Cap will have to go but it will break my heart. I've been a fan of the films (and comics) since Iron Man appeared in our lives and this feels like the end of an era. I feel like a big sap when I start to think about it too much and get all emotional about our favourite characters potentially leaving. As for the running time, is gladly sir through 10hrs of Endgame of it's on par with Infinity War. Grin

NeverTalksToStrangers · 16/04/2019 00:49

No intermission cherry.
And I agree, if it's on par with infinity war I could sit through 10 hours.

Now, my dilemma is how to stop ds going to the loo 5000 times in those 3 hours (he went about 5 times during black panther Confused).

I hadn’t noticed Valkyrie on the poster. I liked her. Hope she’s back then.
Expecting Tony or Steve dead. Or both. Don’t think Steve could retire so if he’s not around it’s because he can’t be. Tony could be around and not shown. Building things but not fighting.

NeverTalksToStrangers · 16/04/2019 22:04

lotusbell I missed your post before now. V interesting thread. I can't remember if we see Gamora's body. Is she trapped IN the stone now? Is she the stone? Was the stone a fake because it wasn't truly love? He doesn't USE it, or does he? He reversed time with the time stone but would that alone have brought vision back to life? Does vision have a soul?

So many really nerdy questions...
What did really nerdy people do before the internet?

Oh and I take it all back. I watched age of ultron again. It was the only one I'd only seen once. It was great. Makes so much more sense now.

OP posts:
MsMarvellous · 17/04/2019 07:09

@NeverTalksToStrangers we saw Gamora land on the ground after Thanos threw her but then he woke up in the pool with the stone in his hand. So who knows.

NeverTalksToStrangers · 24/04/2019 00:37

If the reviews are anything to go by this is going to be one hell of a movie. Shock

Just over 40 hours to go for me.

I'm 39. It's not normal to be this excited by superheroes.Grin

MsMarvellous · 24/04/2019 08:06

My DH has confirmed he is off on Friday so I'm going Friday morning. Just me. No friends, kids or hangers on. Between this and the next Game of Thrones episode I may literally burst Grin

DeathMetalMum · 24/04/2019 08:26

Midnight showing booked here too! So excited just a day at work to get over and done with.

I don't think Heimdell will be back pretty certain he is dead. I think with his powers of foresight he has seen some sort of 'end' hence why he specifically sent back only Hulk in the first scene of infinity wars think it will be key in this film somehow. I also think Dr Strange's mention of 'we're in the endgame now' is something were going to see in this film again - though I'm hoping the end fight scene in infinity wars isn't just replayed with a different outcome on who is dusted or killed - but I have a feeling it's possible.

DeathMetalMum · 24/04/2019 08:28

Oh and yy to Gamorah being alive and Nebula being another key to the plot somewhere. I mean all she's wanted to do is kill Thanos pretty much from the start.

Fatted · 24/04/2019 08:44

I'm so exciting I could wee!! Not going to see it until Saturday night though Angry

Yes I have googled spoilers and it looks like main character deaths Shock

shamelesshackney · 24/04/2019 08:49

Me too. I'm seeing it on Sunday so trying to avoid any spoilers until then. Also reckon Steve Rogers and maybe Tony Stark will die too.

NeverTalksToStrangers · 24/04/2019 09:17

I'm trying to hold out on spoilers. I'm watching every single trailer/tv spot they do though. Grin I see Natalie Portman was back on the red carpet (although she looked in a right mood) and that valkyrie is alive. Does this mean we're gonna have a 3 way fight for thor's affections? I normally wouldn't encourage that, but look at him...

WheelyCote · 24/04/2019 09:21

Three of us here very excited!

Thunderpunt · 24/04/2019 10:19

My son, he booked his tickets to see it this weekend a few weeks ago and has bored me senseless since Grin He's thinking is that Captain America (think that's his name, I called him Captain Marvel last night Blush) and he did explain his reasoning but I was so bored I switched off Confused
Wish he'd pay as much attention to his GCSE revision...
