Anyone else stupidly excited for Avengers Endgame?

Can't wait. 3 hrs just won't be long enough.

I'll be gutted if Hulk dies. I've a real soft spot for Mark Ruffalo and my ds2 has always had some sort of hulk-affinity.

I really hope that Tony doesn't die either because i think pepper probably IS pregnant and in many ways he's a bit of a tragic character.

Any theories? Who will rescue ant man from the quantum realm? Will Paul Rudd ever age? I've a soft spot for him too... And hemsworth... And Sebastian Stan.

ARRRRRRGHHHH!

Yes, yes, I am excited.

Obviously Captain Marvel will play a big role, as will Ant-Man. From the comics I would expect Nebula to be key as well. I did think Adam Warlock might after he was sort of featured in the end-credits sequence of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, but there's been no further reference to him so maybe not.

Am really scared about which characters will die - sadly think Heimdall is proper dead Sad. Not Gamora though.

Ruru8thestars · 14/04/2019 09:16

I can’t wait to see it

NeverTalksToStrangers · 14/04/2019 10:46

Isabelle I would imagine the Adam part is a teaser for GOG3. I don't know the reasoning behind thinking gamora will be leader then but I've heard that quite a bit, which could imply they will properly kill off starlord? Maybe not. If/When the dusted return could one or more of them be killed again?

I think Loki, vision and heimdall are dead.
Cap will die. Tony will retire into obscurity with pepper and the baby. Hulk tried to kill himself before, didn't he? So hopefully he's ok. War machine didn't get dusted. He's totally dispensible and pointless. There's also Wong, Happy, valkyrie, Okoye and M’Baku.

Where was Valkyrie, do you think? I didn't see her on the Asgardian ship.

Yes, Adam in GOTG3 seems likely. I suppose since the Guardians are a team there is no certain guarantee that any particular members will survive, unlike with Spider-Man, who must survive unless Far from Home is supposed to be pre-Infinity War.

Am excited to find out post-Endgame what the next slated films will be!

I do think that the dusted will return but some may then be killed again, although some seem unkillable at this point e.g. Black Panther.

FamilyOfAliens · 14/04/2019 11:04

What’s with this “excited for” nonsense?

It’s “excited about”.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 14/04/2019 11:12

Some you know will definitely make it as still have their own films to come out... Others mainly the originals.. Who knows! Eeek

3 hours and really hope it's all amazing

Probably not the answer you are looking for but the actress was filming the new men in black

what the next slated films will be!

Linked for possible spoilers

Tickets booked for Thursday morning Grin

Cap is a gonner 😭 Bucky will replace him like in the comics and be as awesome as he was there

Possible Spoiler: Valkyrie’s Endgame poster was in colour which confirms she is still alive, although Shuri’s was in black & white which means she is not (unless it’s an elaborate red herring). Mind you, the posters also included characters who died before the snap, so they could have a possibility of being resurrected too

PrincessButtockUp · 14/04/2019 11:29

So excited! And a bit scared because I know we will be losing some much loved characters because their story arcs are complete (Steve Rogers, Tony Stark).

I'm a total Tom Hiddleston fan girl so was devastated by Loki's untimely end. But there are rumours of a TV series for Loki so fingers crossed.

Paul Rudd features in the "white suit walk" in the trailers so I'm particularly curious to know how he got out of the quantum realm after Hope and her mum and dad all got dusted by the Snappening.

NeverTalksToStrangers · 14/04/2019 11:32

Forgot about Rocket. He's still alive. They couldn't kill him off surely? Or Thor?

NeverTalksToStrangers · 14/04/2019 11:35

I guessing it'll be Luis or the daughter who rescue Ant man?

CarolDanvers · 14/04/2019 11:40

Can’t wait. I watched infinity war yesterday in preparation and was livid and devastated all over again, especially when poor Peter went in Tony’s arms Sad.

SneakyGremlins · 14/04/2019 11:40

My last Avengers film was Assemble.

What have I missed and how much of a heathen am I?

CarolDanvers · 14/04/2019 11:45

I went to the Civil War premier and saw all of the actors. RDJ came out last and by far got the loudest cheers. People were going crazy it was an amazing experience Smile

NeverTalksToStrangers · 14/04/2019 11:54

sneaky ugh. You're gonna be busy. If that's the last MCU one you've seen (and you've seen everything before it) you have missed...

Iron man 3
Thor: the dark world (not essential watching)
Captain America: the winter soldier
Guardians of the galaxy
Avengers: age of ultron (shit, but sadly essential to plot)
Ant man
Captain America civil war
Dr strange
Guardians of the galaxy vol 2
Spiderman homecoming
Thor ragnarok
Black panther
Avengers infinity war
Ant man and the wasp
Captain Marvel..

I'm soooooo excited!!! I know I'm going to be sobbing at some point during. Already get choked up watching the trailer. If Cap dies I will be devastated. Love him. Paul Rudd is fab, can't wait to see him in action again. I think defeating Thanos must have something to do with the quantum realm. Dr Strange obviously knew that there was a chance that the remaining avengers could fix everything otherwise he wouldn't have given Thanos the time stone. Hope they don't kill off star lord he's hilarious. And yes I still love him even though he ruined the chance of getting the gauntlet off Thanos 😁

NeverTalksToStrangers · 14/04/2019 11:57

So jealous Carol. Sad

Was this London? I'm in London at the start of July... new spidey is out few days after we arrive. Would be great if there was a premier we could go to.

MsMarvellous · 14/04/2019 11:57

Meee!!! My DH, who isn't interested in the slightest, is off work the Friday of release week so I can do see it that morning and he can watch the littlest.

I really hope it lives up to the expectation I'm placing on it 😂

IsabelleSE19 · 14/04/2019 12:06

I watched this again last week and this bit always makes me shout at the telly! They were so close! And the bit at the end with Spider-Man always makes me well up. Thank god it can't possibly be permanent.

CarolDanvers · 14/04/2019 12:08

Yes, was at Westfield in Shepherds Bush. We just happened to go in the day before and they were giving out wrist bands to get into the public enclosure. I took ds who is a huge fan. The premieres are often shown at Westfield but more and more at the BBC centre which has been totally renovated. They don’t tend to advertise as the crowds are ridiculous but if I hear anything I will let you know.

CarolDanvers · 14/04/2019 12:13

I think Dr Strange knew exactly how it was going to go and how it had to be so that’s why he gave up the stone so easily. There was only one way and that was it. As always Nick Fury was my totes favourite even just for the few seconds he was on the screen. I just love him.

NeverTalksToStrangers · 14/04/2019 12:13

Just started frantically googling London premier of Spider-Man and realised that I hadn't seen that trailer!! Nick fury in it. As is Happy (as a love interest for aunt may Shock).

No sign of Tony. Please don't let him die. Sad

Looks like I'm getting it before other countries so maybe world premier will be there (it's set in Europe so this makes sense). Fingers crossed we don't miss it.

Christ Shock

Are those in order?

Just remembered that I watched Ragnarok at my friend's shop Grin I feel slightly redeemed

CaptainMarVell · 14/04/2019 12:52

I am SO excited! We're going to see it on the Friday straight from work. Looking forward to seeing if we can spot our home city in it too Smile

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 14/04/2019 13:07

Very excited here, I've watched all the movies lately, Antman and the wasp most recently, and randomly, Romeo and Juliet from 1996 and can confirm Paul Rudd has barely aged at all!
