What stupid thing do you keep doing?

I'll start. Despite putting moisturiser on my face every morning for the last 40 odd years, I constantly squeeze out too much, resulting in a face that makes my mascara run, or greasy hands from rubbing it into them to use the excess. What's yours?

I will often frog something several times before I'm happy with it
Say what now?

GimmeBread · 10/03/2019 17:54

Boiling the kettle for coffee at work and then forgetting about it. By the time I remember the kettles empty again. Refill and boil then forget. Ad infinitum 🤨

Lose weight gain it back repeat over and over. I too look up people’s ages especially from old movies to see how long they lived. Happy to see who lived longer then me sad the ones that died younger.

Btw frogging has to do with knitting

sabriel2019 · 10/03/2019 18:29

Frogging is undoing knitting or crochet stitches because you've made a mistake.

I have no idea why it's called frogging... a quick google search doesn't really help apart from a laboured 'rip-it, rip-it' link.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 11/03/2019 18:02

I'm glad someone explained. I was concerned that frogging was beginning to sound similar to 'never google dragon butter'....

@ShortandSweet98
Re smoking, I've smoked for 46 years, I had a stroke last year and I now use a vape. I haven't stopped yet but I'm down to 1 or 2 a day. I was smoking about 30/40 a day and I really don't miss it.
Give it a try, vaping has really helped me.
So many things I've done mentioned here, I blame my age every time.

IndigoSpritz · 11/03/2019 18:21

I still eat too many Pringles in one sitting. I always promise, nay, force myself to just 'have a few' but I fear I am powerless.

Camomila · 11/03/2019 18:58

Banging myself on things. I have a little triangle shaped bump on my forehead ATM from hitting the corner of the washing basket when I reached down to get a duplo.
Its worse when I'm tired (probably dyspraxic but never been diagnosed)

"I too look up people’s ages especially from old movies to see how long they lived"

Another one that looks up ages, but more their actual age vs characters age (some real shockers there!) and ages of actors playing couples/each other's spouse or parents/children (again some real shockers here!)

Also fascinates me to see who's related to who, I've found some very surprising parents/children and spouse matches I NEVER would have put together.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 12/03/2019 11:39

I do the age looky up thing too! Didn't count it as stupid, just one of my quirks...for the reasons others have said and sometimes so i can say they are younger than me, but look older, to myself and OH, not out loud in public or anything Grin
