My cat came home with a big lump on his head 2 days ago with blood coming out a tiny hole. Now it looks like this photo ove attached. How should I treat it? He's been licking his paw and frantically rubbing the area for about half and hour now.

I think you’ll also notice that the advice was very calm and considered until the OP decided to use the phrase, 'keyboard warriors'. Then the tone of the thread and the advice changed. Understandably.

I think you need to get him tested for FIV as well. If he’s been in several fights and bitten he is at risk of having been infected.

I’m appalled this poor cat was left in pain.

What? I dont agree with how long its taken to see the vet, but cats fight!
Just because he’s been in a few scraps doesnt mean he needs to be tested.
Our old boy would have been tested multiple times otherwise Confused

Clearly the cat did not seem to be in pain hence the op being suprised by what she saw that day,
my cat had a reaction to a flea collar I took it off and there was a perfect circle of skin missing about the size of a 10p piece he was fine in himself I just noticed that more fleas were on him and he was more itchy after I put the collar on! I took him to the vets but he had cleaned it himself it healed fine

More fleas. Good grief.
