Have you ever gone off a celebrity because of something they've done?

I used to really like Ewan McGregor until he had an affair.

Same with Robson Green in the 90s.

I loved Michael Moriarty (still do) but he's become a huge loony and an old soak.

Liked Ant McPartlin before the drink driving and infidelity.

Have you ever liked a celeb and then gone off them because of something they've said or done? Does it just prove that celebs are human like the rest of us?

Tim hiddleston helped us out when we got lost in a hotel he was nice

whatsnewchoochoo · 18/11/2018 22:32

@BehemothPullsThePeasantsPlough - Woody Allen abused his actual adopted daughter ..

trigger warning for the link
www.theguardian.com/film/2014/feb/02/dylan-farrow-woody-allen-abuse-allegations

dontalltalkatonce · 18/11/2018 22:38

Woody Allen is just vile.

Ben Affkeck - though I think it's probably the alcoholism that makes him a douche

Another who shagged the nanny.

longwayoff · 18/11/2018 22:44

Pp, havent got your user name yo hand but that was not racist-tinged behaviour It was full on Kkk without the bloody hoods stuff. Disgusting. Please dont minimise it.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 18/11/2018 22:45

Phil Spencer after he was really nasty to an old Geordie bloke (on his programme) for buying too big a table.
Sting for everything.

Nevth · 18/11/2018 22:45

Tom Hiddlesdon is just completely ruined for me now. Can't take him seriously and whenever I accidentally see him in anything I have to fast forward. Cringe.

KathyBates · 18/11/2018 22:50

Jim Carey for how he treated his ex before she killed herself

tangoed2 · 18/11/2018 22:50

A recent one - Ant Middleton the main instructor on SAS: Who dares wins, obviously a bit of an animal but seemed alright. Watched him climb Everest last week and thought he was arrogant, rude and a massive bellend. I knew I was right to prefer Foxy.

Flutternotsoshy · 18/11/2018 22:51

Very good point @kathybates

I'd gone off him well before that, but by God that gave me the rage.

lardass88 · 18/11/2018 22:51

@tangoed2 I thought the same!!

dontalltalkatonce · 18/11/2018 22:54

Ant always struck me as a bellend. Foxy so much better, and hotter.

Cakemonger · 18/11/2018 22:57

There are domestic abuse allegations against Michael Fassbender, everyone seems to have ignored it

Beckham came across as spoiled, greedy and childish in his honours emails

Not too bothered about people's affairs tbh, unless they're serial offenders. Much more bothered about abuse/illegal acts/racism etc.

Disappointed and confused about JK Rowling's support of Johnny Depp. Also disappointed at her and the Fantastic beast makers' dismissal of the racism problem in the current film. It came across as closed minded to me.

tangoed2 · 18/11/2018 22:58

@lardass88 There's nothing clever about nearly getting yourself (and guide) killed by trying to be the last one on top of Everest!
His camera man had the right idea.

BakedBeans47 · 18/11/2018 22:59

Heather Mills
Tom Cruise
Rolf Harris
Gary Glitter

tangoed2 · 18/11/2018 22:59

@dontalltalkatonce Foxy is a dream 😍

JuniperBeer · 18/11/2018 23:01

How has no one mentioned not OWEN WILSON yet?!
Man refuses to acknowledge his own newborn child!

Rayn · 18/11/2018 23:03

Kelly Brook! Used to think she was a good curvy role model but she has changed so much! Goes through men like no tomorrow and plays the 'dumb and giggly' role!

Cakemonger · 18/11/2018 23:03

Oh, and went off Oprah after seeing some footage of her in the run up to the Iraq war bullying an audience member who dared to question whether the WMD intelligence was true

BlancheM · 18/11/2018 23:06

Yes that is disgusting juniper
Also Jason Manford the dirty gerty
Most of the others mentioned.
Adored Joanna Lumley but was so disappointed to read her dismissive, anti feminist comments about Me Too in an interview, also Iris Apfel. Awful response to a 'are you a feminist?' question.

FixItUpChappie · 18/11/2018 23:07

Claire Danes and Billy Crudup - Crudup having left Mary-Louise Parker (his girlfriend of 8 yrs), who was 7 months pregnant, for Danes in 2003.

Just yuck. Fair or not, I really can't look at either of them without thinking about it tbh.

Boobahs · 18/11/2018 23:12

Ditto to Jason Manford.

I've always hated Ronan Keating for inexplicable reasons, so felt thoroughly vindicated when he was exposed as a cheat.

SecondTimeCharm · 18/11/2018 23:13

Michael Fassbender - allegations of domestic abuse

Morrissey - obvious reasons

used to really like the actor Hugh Bonneville and thought he was so hilarious in Twenty Twelve and it came out he was the actor who had a private injunction to hush up the fact he was using prostitutes and cheating on his wife

yuck

BedraggledBlitz · 18/11/2018 23:16

Billy Connolly after he "joked" that terrorists should just get on with murdering Ken Bigley. Imagine his family members hearing that. Arse.

And yes Jonny Depp turns my stomach now. Stupid vacuous thug.

StorminaBcup · 18/11/2018 23:18

@tangoed2 - that's exactly what I said to dh. I used to like him before but I can't believe someone with his training made risky decisions that endangered those around him and slated everyone else putting his life at risk.

FixItUpChappie · 18/11/2018 23:19

Also I watched a documentary on Kurt Cobain (Montage of Heck) - and it's hard to describe how grim and unappealing he and Courtney Love both come across. The "genius" of his music? Fuck that shit.
